Recently watched the Shannara Chronicles on Netflix and enjoyed it but was thinking about how it fit very well into Shadowrun.  For those who don't know it takes place in an Elven Kingdom in the Columbia River Valley which is present day Oregon and Washington or more correctly the Tir and Sinsearch Elf lands.  The big disaster cold be seen as the next scourge from Earthdawn with the Demons as the Horrors and Elcrys filling the same role by keeping them out.   So my question si am I double Nerd or a two for one bargain nerd?

Haven't seen that show myself, but I will say welcome to life after duscovering Shadowrun, where every time you watch a show, take a walk past a building, see a neon sign, or read a news headline, your brain immediately starts making connections to the game. Enjoy!

...yeah.

I live in Portland and I usually refer to the local transit system Tir Met (real name Tri Met) and refer to the West Hills as Royal Hill because it seems pretty appropriate for who lives there in RL today).

Ran an old 2nd ed campaign in the TT.  Had a "spiker" NPC Prince who was a long time resident (from before the Awakening) who didn't quite see eye to eye with the "newcomers" and had who's estate was present day Laurelhurst Park. She also ran a cutting edge tech firm that was located at the old PIR speedway.

Also there were anchored confusion spells in all the intersections of Ladd's Addition left behind by some mischievous mage.

Indeed... The books are amazing. :)
The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary. - James. D. Nicoll
