Steve nods and goes to lay down next to Simon on the bed and is soon asleep.  You get some rest as well and are wakened by your 'link buzzing at you.  As you stir, you hear the toilet flush in the bathroom then water running.  Looking arount the small room, you note that Steve is not on the bed, but Simon is still sleeping.  The girl walks out of the bathroom and smiles at you.  "Sorry if I woke you.  Could not hold it in any longer.  This dump has no caf maker and I could really use some.  Why don't I go down to the 'Shack next door and get something while you get sleepy-head up and moving?"

Steve nods at your advice and watches as you wake Simon.  The young boy stirs awake but is still half asleep as you pick him up.  Steve looks at you and holds out her arms.  "My third drone is in your view now and it shows the way over to the 'Shack is clear, but you never know what might be hiding.  He is not soo heavy..............would you like me to carry him so you can have hands free, just in case?"

Simon wakes as you get to the door to the Stuffer Shack and Steve puts him down.  The news feed on the trid screen over the counter seems to be a press conference already in progress.  A senior KE officer is telling the reporters that much of the initial crisis seems to be over with the arrest of the wanted man, who is now at a KE safehouse in Renton in preparation for movement later tonight to KE headquarters.

You can order some food and the waitress is smiling.  "Well, the KE finally did something right, although I was hoping that the guy was innocent and would get away.  I hear he was a real hero at Washington Rec.  So what can I get you?"  Steve orders some food for herself and Simon, who lets you know he has to use the restroom.

Spokane informs Sasha of the expected ETA to meet the client with an extra ten minutes or so to set up the site..

So Stephanie when we get to the meet area you should probably stay away though I would appreciate you keeping your drones on lookout.  We are returning Simon to his father but he was kidnapped so there may be some heat coming down and I don't want you to get caught up in that.  Hopefully dad will just be grateful to have his son back safe and sound but I'm not going to count on that.  Until I see the place I can't really be sure what will need to be done.

OOC:  I need site info to determine how to handle the meet, surrounding buildings, number of people that sort of thing.

The meeting location is a parking lot near what appears to be an abandoned factory of some kind.  The factory buildings are located about 300 feet from away and overlook the lot, several of the buildings are at least two stories and the stacks rise about 150 feet into the air.  There are some other buildings near, including a row of abandoned (?) store fronts across the street.  Broken glass and blowing paper litter the area.  The rest of the meeting area seems to be clear of buildings, but a good sniper could easily range the lot from several places.  There are two long limos in the lot and four men in dark suits are standing near them.  All are armed with sub-machineguns and look to be scanning the area.  The passenger doors to both cars are open.

Okay Stephanie I need eyes on the factory especially the stacks.  Also check the back of the storefronts I want to see if there's any fire escapes or roof access.  I'm going to check out the factory and see if I can find an easy way in.

Okay Simon.  This is it.  I imagine things will be fine now but remember what I said about how things look and how things actually are?  We are going to take a few precautions to make sure you and your father are safe.  So most likely it will be your father in the cars and everything will go off without a hitch.  If you see your dad or anyone else you would expect to see picking you up for him, I want you to wave, big arm over your head wave, but do it away from where I'm going to set up.   If it's anyone else or you think you are in danger you run away from them back the way you came and find something to hide behind.  (I point out a few things he might use as cover)  I'll come get you.  You got all that?  Like I said I really don't think any of this is going to happen but we want to be safe right?

After the talk and recon I pick out a spot to keep lookout and we send Simon to his father.  OOC: unless we spot something that needs to be addressed.  Stealth check 1: 8d6t5 1

I'm not sure that's a great idea kid.  I don't expect your pa to be too happy about what happened to ya.  If he thinks I'm with those guys he might try to start a fight and I'd really hate to shoot your dad.  Spokane ponders a bit.  You know your pa's com code?  I suppose I could talk to him and feel him out a bit.  What's yer last name anyway.  What do I call your father?

Howdy Mr "Simons dad".  I got your boy here and I was about to send him over to ya but he seems a mite spooked, possibly because of your boys and their guns.  Can't say I really wanted to meet you face to face as I imagine you aren't too pleased with having your boy taken and I can understand that.  But I want you to know that I had nothing to do with that.  I was contracted to see your boy safely to you is all.  What do you say.  Can we keep this friendly or am I making the boy walk to you alone?
