"Yeah, that could work, I suppose."  Dog casts his spell on the unconscious men, making them invisible.  He has to do it twice on one of them and you hear him swearing about people with too much 'ware and too little essence left.  He whispers something about people that are not really people anymore.

Steve helps the old man while you and dog carry the gunmen out of the house. You are able to make it back to the bikes and by trial and error are able to get the men astride them and secure enough that you can walk the bike down the street ahead of the approaching sirens.  After several changes of alleyways, you feel secure enough to begin looking for a rendezvous point and call Sasha, who says he is on the way to your current location.

We are set Sasha.  We will meet you here in 20.  Be prepared at least one of these guys has some serious cyber installed.  You can have these guys with the understanding that we share the intel on this group if we get any.  Agreed?

Once the exchange is made we head to the safe house to deposit pops.

A van pulls up to your location and four hard men pop out, followed by Sasha.  "Well done, Spokane.  We will share any information we gain from these men.  You have done much here."  The two unconscious gunmen are bundled into thee van, which takes off down the narrow street.  Dog and Steve place Tabitha's father on the back of your bike and wrap him to you with some straps taken from the van.  Steve laughs and tells you to drive slowly just in case.

The drive back to the safe house is uneventful and you arrive to find Tabitha bouncing back and forth on her feet as you bring her father inside and lay him on the bed.  She quickly checks him out and gives an encouraging nod of relief.  "I was afraid that he would be much worse off, but it looks like he has been treated.  Thank you, Spokane.  And everyone else, too.  Not sure how I can repay you."

Sorry about the flashbangs I figured that would be safer than putting you in the middle of a firefight.

Okay folks get some rest, Phil and Al you take guard duty Steve and I need to get some rest and make a delivery tomorrow and then we will come relieve you.  Dog we will ping you when we get more info.

Spokane and Steve head to her place to "relax" after a good nights work and get some sleep before our delivery for Sasha tomorrow and having a conversation with the doctor from mercy general.

Monday  11 June 2075  1756  Tabitha's Safe House  Seattle

Tabitha is so relieved to have her father safe that she waves away the use of the concussion grenades.  "You did what you had to do, Spokane.  And he is here and safe.  Thank you.  Thank all of you."

Phil and Al agree to stay on guard but warn you that they might be pulled away if Mike needs them.  After all, this was supposed to be a quick thing, or so they had been told by Mike.  After you get back to Steve's place, you find that her idea of relaxing is anything but.  Unless you object, she will show you just how much she like sex with you.  After that experience, it is easy to fall asleep and get some much needed rest.

Tuesday 12 June  2075  0630  Steve's Efficiency  Seattle

You wake to the sound of the toilet flushing and the shower turning on.  Steve's voice floats in from the small bathroom.  Sorry the shower is too small for both of us, but I will be quick so you can at least get some hot water.  Have I mentioned how much I enjoyed last night?  No?  Well, I did very much enjoy it and could find myself getting used to it."

Of course, just link me to let me know if Mike needs you.  I really appreciate you guys coming out.

Jeremiah puts on some coffee and plays with the soy processor to produce some sort of passable breakfast for them once she gets out of the shower.  When she comes out he grabs her pulling her in close for a kiss and a long embrace.  mmm, I like this almost as much as I like the sex. he whispers after a few moments. Breakfast?

After they eat Spokane goes over the plans for the day.  So we need to make this delivery for Sasha today then we can go relieve Phil and Al.  You good with that?  I don't want to keep you from any other duties you may have.  I've been monopolizing your time quite a bit lately.

Steve does not resist as you pull her in close.  Her naked body feels very nice next to you and she wraps her arms about you.  "God, Spokane, this is nice.  It could almost get me to forget that there is an evil world out there and that we have a place in it.  I feel so...................protected in your arms.  Will it last?  I would like it to."

She separates from you to get dressed then comes back to eat.  "And he cooks too.  I must have died and gone to heaven.  What can I do to make sure you do not walk out of my life?  And do not worry about Mike.  I have squared me, Phil, and Al staying with you for a couple of days.  They already know, too.  So what is the schedule today?"

I assume that's a rhetorical question.  You should be yourself, enjoy yourself and love yourself.  You don't need to act like a helpless princess that I will come rescue.  I will if you need it, but be your own badass.  I mean it's fun to roleplay and stuff but I want the real you first.  Spokane ponders a bit.I'm not trying to say you are being fake.  But people wear the faces they think people want to see.  They arent being fake they are just exxagerating a quality they think the other person wants to see, everyo e does it to a certain extent, but I want you to be comfortable enough with me to just be yourself. Maybe that's harder for some people.

I try to put on the face of who I want to be, who I feel like I truly am, though I dont always live up to that guy.  Does any of this make sense?

Spokane grabs a quick shower after a bite to eat and gets dressed.

So we need to go deliver a package downtown and then relieve Phil and Al.  After that it's some waiting around and making calls.  Exciting right?  You ready to head out?

Steve listens to what you say and nods, seemingly a bit thoughtful.  She cleans up while you shower and watches you closely as you dress.  She takes your hand and walks with you to the door.  Mike called and the package is ready when we are.  We are to go meet her.  And yes, I think that you can make it exciting for me."

Mike is waiting for you, a package the size of a briefcase in one hand.  She smiles as you approach.  "I hear the snatch yesterday went well.  Glad to be able to help, but when are you going to give me back Phil and Al?  Anyway, here is the address for the package.  The recipient is a young French girl who will be wearing a blue dress with a red flower in her hair.  She will have a case like this one that you will bring back here.  Questions?"

I thought this was for tomorrow, but yeah I can make this work.  I guess we have two deliveries then, and an interview with a doctor at Mercy Genderal.  We'll do this first then Sasha's, then the doctor.

Blue dress, red flower in her hair, got it.  Let us know if you need them, to be honest I'm not sure how long we will need them but I understand they have prior commitments.
Unless Steve has questions we head out.

Mike looks at you and nods.  "It was and I thank you for being able to do it now instead.  I can make other arrangements if you are unavailable."

Steve keeps her tongue and the two of you walk away to your bikes.  "So, do we go to see Sasha first or deliver this case first?"

No Mike it's fine, don't worry about it.

This first, then Sasha's then the doctor.

Ready to head out?

Steve slips her helmet on and climbs on her bike.  You receive a ping from her and the feeds from two aerial drones begins to stream to you live, giving you a good view of the street in front and behind you.  You can set the destination into your Grid Guide and your route is overlaid on the map of the city.  Steve's voice comes to you.  >>OK, I have the route up.  Do we take the suggestion or make our own way?<<

We should take the fastest route.  If we see any trouble we can avoid like last time.  Other than that we will play it by ear.  Let's head out.

Steve nods and follows you.  You get updates on the route from the drones and easily avoid the one danger area that comes up, making good time to the destination.  The meeting place is a seedy block of buildings in an abandoned factory area.  The once spacious facility that forms the hub of the buildings is now taken over by squatters and worse.  The people you see moving about would make most travelers pause before stopping.................or even slowing down as they passed.  It is impossible to miss the economic devastation here: every window is broken or missing the glass panes entirely, trash blows about in the slight breeze, and garbage is piled up all over the place in mute testament to the lack of any sort of public service in the area.

As you motor up to the area, you see a slight woman in a blue dress sitting on the front stoop of what had once been an apartment building for the employees.  The dress and red flower in her hair contrast sharply with the surroundings.  The woman stands at the approach of the bikes and the breeze catches her calf length skirt, exposing a slight bit of well-turned leg.
