I know, probably won't ever happen, but it's kinda fun to think about who might play the various major characters. I'm curious who y'all would like to see play various characters.

My choices -

Lofwyr - Jason Isaacs
Ehran - Mark Gatiss
Harlequin - Tom Hiddleston
Hestaby - Famke Janssen
Alachia - Charlize Theron
Frosty - Petra Silander
Perianwyr - Ian Somerhalder
Sean Laverty - Damian Lewis
Nadja Daviar - Angelina Jolie

I really don't see it happening, but I could easily see Tom Hiddleston as Harlequin.
Would you want to go into a place where the resident had a drum-fed shotgun and can see in the dark?

He's already proven that he can play crazy well.

My guess is that such a movie wouldn't cover the big dogs. (We don't want a movie filled with boardroom meetings do we?) It would likely be a crime movie, and as such, you have a lot of freedom with the characters.

Personally I'd love to see Matt Damon or Noomi Rapace in it.

Sean Connery as Dunkelzahn... It's funny on a couple of levels.

I've always felt Nigel Findley's Shadowplay would make a great SR movie.

Well, we already know he makes a good dragon.  ;)

Hm, if we have a runner team with all standard meta types:

Troll Samurai: Hafthor Björnsson (The Mountain That Rides)
Ork Rigger: Ron Perlman
Elven Mage: Tilda Swinton
Dwarven Decker: Peter Dinklage
Human Face/Infiltrator: Karl Urban

Hans Brackhaus: Christoph Waltz

Director: Guillermo del Toro

Did you know that FASA made a promo short film for the game in 1990?

That is so 90's it HURTS. I almost had the chance to help out with an SR themed short movie a few years back, but nothing ever came of it.  :(

I watched some short Shadowrun-themed fan film on Vimeo or Youtube a few years ago. It was either French or German if I recall. It had someone in a SR LARP and accidentally getting involved in some real underground criminal activity. Other than that I can't remember much about it.

It was a fan movie from Quebec IIRC. I remember having a link to the video on my website a long time ago (a decade or so).
I also remember the German publisher of SR was doing regular contests for fan movies, some of them where quite well done.
Recently I quite enjoyed The Gamers: Natural One, which was essentially Shadowrun even if they call it Cyberrun to avoid legal issues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIY1niCIKhQ

I would sell my soul to Lofwyr to see Tom Hiddleston play Harlequin.
