Jill nods again. "Well, I would not say lots, but there has been an uptick in the past couple of days which I hope extends for a bit longer.  How is your business?"

I've made a few inroads into some new markets so things are looking up.  I also found a little hole in the wall that sells actual coffee.  I'd say things are turning up aces for me.  Now I'm just waiting for the other inevitable shoe.

Jill grabs her things and stands.  "There is always another shoe, isn't there?  I hope that it is a slipper in your case, dear.  Let me know if I can help you more."

With a cheek buss, she is gone

I go knock on Shelly's door.  Hey babe Corbin told you that we are having company around 2100 right?

After getting her answer I grab a tome and start reading up some more on this group bond.

Shelly calls out over the sound of her current favorite music remix.  "Yeah, hon.  Do I need to be gone?"

No I want you and Corbin to meet someone.  Granted the conversation will be about magic some but I'd like you to be there in general please.  You may also be involved so I want you able to make decision before we make anything permanent so you don't  feel left out.

I take a look at the tattoo magic that would allow Shelly to be a part of the group so I don't have to keep her out of the loop.

The door opens and Shelly is standing there wearing trousers only, naked from the waste up.  She is putting some new earrings in and the music mix is lots louder.  "OK.  He said 2100, right.  For how long?"

I don't know really.  An hour or two maybe.

Shelly nods. "Cool.  I am trying on some new things I bought today.  I'll be ready for company."

The door to the apartment opens and you hear Glinda calling out.  "Anyone home?"

I think everyone is, I haven't checked on Corbin though.  I was just about to go start another batch for later.  I find I am busier than usual these days and I want to have a stock pile in case I can't cook for a few days.

Glinda comes to where you are talking to Shelly and smiles.  She leans past you and gives Shelly a kiss, which is returned, and her eyes fasten on Shelly's bare torso. "Hello, you two.  I have missed you today."  She turns to look at you.  "Do you need any help?  Either getting ready for Sian or in the lab?  I am at your disposal."

I don't need any help if you have other things to do but you are welcome to join me if you want.  I think the place is relatively clean.  I'm not the best housekeeper but I'm no slob either.  Jess is suppose to call about the thing when he's ready but that can be put on hold for a few hours.  Feather might call about the property but that shouldn't take long.  I can show off my workshop to Sian and actually have some of the process happening while she's here.  I shrug.

I head to the workshop to get it set up.

It takes a few minutes, but the door to your lab opens and Glinda comes in to help you set things up.  She works quietly and efficiently, remembering what you have shown already, asking only one question for clarification.

We work quickly and efficiently, starting to get each others rhythms down, not much longer and we should be a well oiled team.  After about an hour we finish up to allow the mixtures to set and cool for the next step.  I'm going to grab a quick shower before Sian comes.
