Background: Raised by his mother in the UCAS sector of Denver after his parents divorced due to his father's Novacoke addiction. In high school, his father died of an overdose, spurring James to join the UCAS Army Medical Corps after graduation. After his contract expired, he decided not too renew it, and was granted an honorable discharge. He was accepted into an Ivy League university shortly afterwards where he earned his PhD in Medicine. Unfortunately a friend introduced him to Novacoke at his graduation party, and he was immediately hooked. Thanks to his medical knowledge and charismatic personality, he was able to hide his addiction for a surprisingly long time. Sadly, his addiction gradually got worse until one day he showed up to surgery high as a kite and botched the operation, killing the patient. He was sued, stripped of his license, and narrowly avoided a prison sentence by agreeing to mandatory drug rehabilitation. He got clean, but his medical license was never reinstated. He took the alias Watson, and has been running the shadows ever since.
