@Nyx You recognize Sam's face, she does work at the Gates started last week, but you had a shift with her few days ago. You also remember her from sometime before you were captured, it is blurry due to the conditions of your imprisonment but she was there when you were taken and you remember that she was incredible with pistols,  professional soldier good but she was not firing at you.

Crossing his arms across his chest and rolling his eyes at Jack's deflection.  A simple answer would have satisfied the mage's curiosity.  The rigger disconnects from the borrowed deck and joins the pair.  Nodding to the man, Maxwell was about to inquire more about the data when his commlink started buzzing again.  Both him and the keeb on the other end discuss their whereabouts and actions leading up to this point.   After that brief exchange concluded, Maxwell announces to the other two.  "More runners inbound it seems.  This is good.  We can all share our findings together and advance to the next part of our mission.  I'll let you reveal what you've learned once they are all here."

Anyway, there's no rush, I wanted to go see if we could be useful at the city hall but looks like it's not necessary, I'll leave you to whatever you were doing, call me when you're done, okay?"

Simone nods at Nyx.  "I thought it would take you a couple of hours, so I came out to fiddle around a bit.  I will call you when it is time to leave to meet Gem."  She then then looks at Sam and goes to work on the arm, turning it back on and withdrawing the tool.  "There, almost two minutes to spare.  I guess my reaction might not have helped matters any, but if you want to make a new start or have I screwed that up..............?"

@Nyx, Simone: Sam shares her link number, and smiles at Simone "I am really going to find some hole to crawl in" She avoids forming eye contact with Nyx and leaves the place clearly uncomfortable about the situation.


@Irris, Kynos, Ayato -  They listen to you, but seem very skeptical, your way is clear - they are keeping their distance. You have no idea what made the change in their attitude but right now you have different worries.

@Maxwell, Wheely - Jack nods 'alright if this is what you prefer tell them to be here before dark, or to leave before dark unless you want to leave this place fighting. The zombies usually know better than to attack this place, but it will be difficult to move on the roads. They walk the roads and look for easy prey, squatters and homeless. Even now, they seem to find what they are looking for.

Maxwell starts laughing gruesomely.  Still high as a kite.  "Perfect!  Means I can cull their ranks on my walk out.  Cutting a bloody swath from here to the Red Hot Nukes.  I still have unfinished business with them.  They may very well have been the ones that booby-trapped my apartment.  Time I see if they truly did or not."  Capitalizing on Jack's warning, he sent another message to Kynos.

Simone watches Sam leave and shakes her head in regret for another missed opportunity.  Looking at Nyx, she says, "So much for my people skills, I guess.  I always seem to chase the real prospects away because I cannot recognize the potential friends from those trying to get something from me with false promises.  Story of my life."

She goes back to fiddling with the piece of cyberware she was working on before Sam had come along.  "We still have a couple of hours to kill before heading out to meet Gem.  Anything you need to do before then?  If not, she chairs are quite comfortable and there is food and drink in the fridge over there, along with the controls to a very nice trivid system that lowers from the ceiling over there.  Make yourself at home in my home."  At the  same time, she sends a message to Sam.  >>Hey Sam.  I am so sorry to have spooked you away like that.  Please put it down to my natural inability to relate well with others.  Give me another chance if you are still interested.  You can return a call on this code.  I hope that you do.<<
