Simone gives the man a sad look.  "No, Devon, these are not commitment issues.  It is the truth.  I have been hunting vampires and other diseased creatures for a long time.  My last team dissolved after a battle with them that left only three of us alive.  I found others, though, and we have formed a new group.  Acting on tips, we have determined that the farm is a front.  The real owners raise Pixies in vats to sell to vampires as food.  This activity is done underground and away from the eyes of honest men such as yourself, who are being used by the owners.  As part of our investigation, we found out that the security company for the farm was breached earlier today and that the attackers were able to get access codes to the drones that provide the security for the farm.  We are convinced that the vampires have grown tired of paying for the Pixies and want to control the process.  The farm and its business are secondary to them and it is likely that you and the rest of the workers would be turned into mindless creatures the vampires would use as a source of nourishment.  I know that this sounds a bit off, but this is the sixth world and stranger things have happened.  Believe me.  What do you say?  Will you help us save yourself, your co-workers, and the farm?"

Simone looks carefully at Devon, waiting for him to react.

@Simone Devon reaches for his link and you can see on its display that it is already hooked up to 'Eggs! security'. The man must be operating it from a direct neural interface.   He tells you, "Well I know nothing on security but you can perhaps repeat what you just said to me to the security officer in charge. If your story check out I bet they'll allow you to help. Though I must admit that I do not share your fear of vampires. Pixies or no pixies..."

Simone looks at Devon and puts a hand on his arm.  "Please do not do that.  There is already a threat to the farm and alerting your security guys would only make it worse.  At least by 'link.  Can you get me in to see them?"

@Simone Devon said "It is already done, security chief is alerted with all the information you provided. Thank you I guess... Given circumstances I think they'll take your threat seriously. One have to be crazy to go against the food industry, trust me. There are drones and capable ex military security, these guys can handle anything this world has to offer. If I am not safe with them, I am not safe anywhere else.
Now if you excuse me, I am hungry - you can either join me or go hunt your vampires."

Simone is now concerned that she had said too much.  Damn.  >>Team [Somone]:  I guess talking to people is not my strong suit.  I tried to get the farm guy to work with us, but he has alerted the farm security guys about a possible vampire attack.  Have I ruined everything or can we still turn this to our advantage somehow?<<

@team:  That's what we get for being too paranoid I guess.  I suggest we talk to them and see if we can't get inside diplomatically otherwise we assault while they are on heightened security.  If we can get inside there is no guarantee that the vamps will be hitting this place but that seems to be the best outcome I can see.  We can always wait until the last minute to take control if they let us in to help.

<<It's worth a try, supposing that the vamps aren't in control already. They probably don't have a Rigger inside and with the mess at Luna they might be glad to have one on site and don't suspect that I can hack them as well.>>

<<You see, that's why my first impulse was to just shoot the guy. As it stands, you really need to work on your Romanian Circus Con. The first thing you need to do is make the Mark suspect his own security of being corrupt and that an outside force is needed.
But what's done is done.

We can now forget going in as back-up - at least until they are attacked for real. That is, if the vamps are actually attacking now that the farm is greatly reinforced.

Wheely, don't forget that they have the Red Queen on their side. As far as hacking is concerned we are probably outclassed. Being able to get the drones offline is still top priority.

Waiting seems now to be our best bet.>>

<<Agreeing with Kynos when I say killing him would have been the simplest way to deal with him.  I'm pretty sure I suggested that course of action first too.  One thing I should point out is that we aren't being paid to secure prisoners or having to worry about who gets caught in the crossfire.  All that matters is that we secure the farm.  If the fangers and rent-a-cops want to hash it out I say let them.  We come in when the victorious side is weakened and bloodied and do a little clean up.  I'm almost tempted to place bets now that I think about it.  Anyway, like Kynos said, time to play the waiting game.>>

Simone is glad that no one really tried to rip her a new asshole, but it doesn't make her feel much better about herself.  She has killed undead and is not squeamish about it, but she obviously has a hard time killing people, especially ones she knows.  She goes inside the house to sit with Devon and eat the food he has brought.  Sitting down opposite him, she looks a bit abashed. "I am sorry, Devon.  I know it is hard to believe, but I think that your security at the farm has been compromised.  We think that the attack will come soon, possibly tonight.  Is there any way that you can get me inside the fence to talk to the guards there.  Armed?"

She pauses to take another bite of food. "Good food, by the way.  Maybe you can take me there after this is over if you still want to."

@Simone Devon said "Me? I have no power over security. Heck, I myself cannot get there at this hour, this is some serious security.   Besides, I did not offer you a date to talk about farm security. You have their comcode if you want to talk to them - I asked you for a dinner date and you are beginning to ruin it with that vampire nonsense."

Simone nods at Devon and considers her options before standing up.  "Thank you for your help, Devon.  I am sorry that you do not want to help.  I am also sorry that I ruined your dinner date.""

She leaves the dining room and returns to her van and sits in the driver's seat for a bit.  >>Team [Simone]: I have the com code for the farm security.  Is it worth the effort to try to get someone in to talk to them and so be on the spot when something happens?  Devon gave them my vampire story so they might be willing to listen to someone warn them first hand.  Call them or not?<<

@All the night is quiet - there are some movement of patrols but most is quite routine, the hours progress and no attack seem to be coming. At some point you need to decide if you are going to wait until morning or make a go for the farm tonight.

At around 0400h Kynos woke up the crew from their dozing: <<From my perspective it's time for some action. This is the last day of our deadline and we have to consolidate the farm. Let's get invisible and start infiltrating. Target is the command room.
Ayato? You up for some stealth kills?
Irris, be ready to take out patrols as a distraction at our call.>>
