== Description ==
An unusually tall and freakishly ugly troll from the NAN. If it doesn't involve blowing something up, he simply isn't interested. He is happiest when in combat, aand doesn't particularly care who he's fighting. Just point him at the enemy, and let him loose.

== Background ==
Otaktay grew up in the shadows of Cheyenne. His mother was a protitute and his father was most likely one of her clients. His rough upbringing left him very bitter and angry at the world, and his goblinization at puberty only made it worse. After his mother was raped and beaten to death by members of Humanis, Otaktay went off the deep end. Using the skills he picked up as a child of the shadows, he went on a spectacular killing spree against the men who murdered his mother. After he got his vengeance, he fled to Europe and never looked back. He took the handle T.A.H.E. (pronounced TAH-hey), and has worked in the shadows as weapons expert ever since, specializing in demolitions.

Any glaring omissions? Anything I missed or messed up?

right off the bat... Sioux Nation gives you Blades +2 as an example.. you list base as zero and bought with karma 6... that can't be right.

A whole lot of skills are missing... Outdoor SG for one (again from the NAN\Sioux Nation choice) as an example.

Your character is missing a whole lot of qualities.... your SIN is criminal/not national. Black Market Pipeline, Paranoia, Uneducated are not listed.
Since you have25 points already in negatives, you can't buy more.
If you bought the negative off with karma, you need to list that.

You got over a half dozen weapons with a DP of 6  or less...I guess instead of changing clips after a bunch of misses , you'll just pull out a different weapon to miss with.

Smartlink by itself does you no good.
You need DNI so your brain can process the information.
Other than trodes, the cheapest way to get the DNI is a datajack.
You could also put an image link in some glasses but that renders the benefit of putting the smartink in your eye moot as it's no longer entirely cybernetic.
Of course, some GMs handwaveum this all away and so would allow you to use the smartlink without it having an way of sending the information it correlated to your brain (or the ever popular, it gives you DNI, even though it doesn't mention that it does- see DNI cutout in CRB).
So, long way of saying, ask your GM on this one.

You don't need the data processing, you need firewall to protect your stuff that goes online.... my suggestion- blue defender.

I've been up about 48hrs now, so if some of the previous is out of whack, blame it on my copious consumption of caffeine.

I used Chummer 5 to build this, and it's a character type I have never built before. So I'm not surprised there are big glaring errors. Thank you for pointing them out.

This guy is not actually a character I'm playing. He's part of a group in a homebrew mission I'm working on, and I want to make sure his build is functional before I add it to the dossier.

Chummer just doesn't work right with life builds.

I use a spread sheet, one column for each module and use the sum function.
Helps with not forgetting any points.

I'm probably going to scrap this build and rebuild him using karma gen. I seem to have better luck with that method.

You can just use pen and paper to build that guy.

That is what I do, regardless of method... After it is cleaned up a bit, then I transfer to a Word Doc Character Sheet. :)

Smartlink does not require a separate DNI interface.

Smartlink by itself does you no good.

I gave Life Modules a chance.... I really wanted them to work for me, but it is my least favorite way to make a character.

Point Buy (Karmagen) is superior to all other character creation methods. You end up with so much extra junk you don't need or want for your character when you use Life Modules.

I prefer Chummer, as my ability to do even basic math in my head is...well, not great due to an old head injury. I also tend to forget things easily, particularly when stressed or tired. That's why I like having a program that keeps track of everything for me, and I still post new character builds here on the likely chance that I forgot something. I can write backstories, character descriptions, and general fluff all day, but I still struggle with the crunchy bits.

I absolutely love Life Modules.

That extra junk that you say you don't need or want is what you get with a character that actually exists in the world, in my opinion. Those skills tend to build up a believable character more so than any other build method in my opinion, because one always cuts corners to get what one wants in the other build systems. 8)
