Mmk good feedback so far. Here's what I think might help:

From what I can tell, our GM was headed in this direction. We kind of expedited this result with in-character choices, but it was going to happen eventually, considering some of the pink mohawk tendencies a few of the players have. I don't think this is supposed to be the end of our adventure, moreso the first major plot twist in our character's stories. The next few sessions are the most critical, as we either cut or try to mend/maintain contacts, re-establish our footing, get some resources together and see just what we're really up against.

That said, I do have another problem. Our flashiest player, the pink-mohawk adept who part-times as a combat biker/street games athlete, seems to have had the complete opposite effect to the recent events. Despite his house being blown up, he's not really certain he's in any real danger. He's contemplating trying to take a few more gigs as his public persona to earn some more nuyen, and the rest of us are worried it'll backfire with our current situation. So with threats not only without but also within our group, the next few sessions will be pretty dicey. Sadly our GM was sick yesterday, so next session is two weeks away.

Well....

You have 3 basic choices.

1: STOP him from taking part in any public games, either by talking him out of it or physically restaining him. The physical option will be the hardest, he is after all an adept :) Not to mention possibly create some bad blood.

2:  let him do his thing and try to watch his back from a distance. But given the venues for these events, their bloody nature, and the cliente that go to these things, keeping him safe will be a najor challenge thst puts the rest of you in danger...

3: cut and run. Let him be the public offering and catch the heat between the eyes.... as the saying goes: You can't fit stupid. And if he is dumb enough to NOT think he's in danger after all that has happened, well, time to let his genes remove him from the pool. Chances are you'll be safer in the long run.... even if you're down a combat specialist...
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.
