I'm looking to play a face in an upcoming game.  In an effort to compensate for a lack of quick wit IRL I'm trying my best to flesh out the character and would appreciate any RP or character build help.  Especially with names, contact ideas, or additional backstory information for him or his contacts.

Character Rules
Normal priority build & core book only.

Backstory
Remy grew up in a Seattle based non-traveling carnival, an orphaned child.  During this time he learned a large assortment of skills such as sleight of hand tricks, gymnastic tricks, theatrical performances, and street cons.  While the carnival itself was full of morally good and kind people who provided refuge to orphans and served as a halfway house for others, it was not particularly lucrative.  Many of the adult residence had "side jobs" which helped sustain it.  Although Shadowrunning was a particularly rare "side job" the carnival was not adverse to it and Remy hopes to use the money he mades as a means to give back.

Friends he made
Transgender Theater Manager
A mentor to Remy who currently manages the theatrical section of the carnival.  Setting up plays, managing performers, and commonly the host of many shows.

Sister
Another residence of the carnival, an elf girl.  Despite Remy being human, she was identified to be his sister via her astral signature (is that a thing?).  While she shared a similar childhood as Remy she is an exceptionally gifted magician especially with social spells and a far better "face".  Unfortunately, she squanders most of her time in Seattle's social playground and nightlife.  Hopefully this is just a result of her still young age.

Magical Tattoo Artist
A stereotypical tough guy biker.  He's an orc ( maybe dwarf? ) who publicly provides tattoos for the generally public both real, fake, and magical.  In private he runs a group that deals with magic goods.

Skills Priority A
Athletics 4
Acting 6
Disguise 6
Etiqutte 6
Leadership 6
Negotiation 6
Perception 6
Sneaking 6
Locksmith 4

A really skilled individual.

Attributes Priority B
Body 3
Agility 3
Reaction 3
Strength 3
Charisma 6
Intuition 4
Logic 3
Willpower 3

He's physically capable from his upbringing but outside of charisma and "street smarts" aka intuition he isn't exceptional.

RacePriority C
Pretty set on Human with high edge of 7.

Magical?
Being magical in some way would fit with his sister although physical adept fits him better in my head.

Equipment
Could use a lot of help here.  I don't want him to be cybered since his background is not one of financial means but I don't know what gear is needed, a pistol and counter to tailored pheromones (nose plugs) might be useful though.

Qualitites
Home Ground - Know a guy [ The Carnival ]
First Impression [ Common for a carny ]

Code of honor - Man of the people [ Doesn't harm innocents like wage slaves, bystanders, etc ]
Dependent - For the carnival, his sister getting in trouble in particular
Distinctive Style - Has a lot of tattoos on his body

I would switch Attributes and Skills Priorities.

Body: 3
Agility: 3 or 4
Reaction 3 or 4
Strength 3
WIllpower 5
Charisma 6
Logic 3
Intuition 5

I personally recommend players take some specializations. Especially skills like Perception (Visual +2). Just GMed a game today, Players made about 20 Visual Perception Tests for every 1 other type of Perception Test.  You don't have to max out every Social Skill when you're a Face. I would definitely recommend you get Con (Fast Talking +2), I think that would fit with your character being a Carnie.

With 6 Charisma, you would get 16 dice for Fast Talking People you meet for first time.

I like Idea of you taking High Edge Attribute, that seems to come up a lot in my games.

Equipment depends on your GM. Some GMs are going to insist you get a Rating 4 Fake SIN, which is 10,000 Nuyen. That is probably going to be your biggest investment, it's a lot easier to take Priority E for Resources if you don't have to have a Fake SIN right away.

For Names I use a random name Generator online.

Sometimes I will look at the most popular names and surnames in an Area that a character or NPC is from.

Contacts

ID Manufacturer (Connection 5, Loyalty 2) -- Especially if you are not going to have a Fake SIN Starting Out.
Pawn Broker
Bartender
Fixer

How would you handle the reduction in skills?

Got a link to one you like?

I was debating on priority E cash, so I can take up a low magic adept.  The core book doesn't offer much for adepts but reflexes 1 or something would help a lot in a fight.

Isn't there a limit of a cumulative 6 connection and loyalty at character creation or can you just not exceed 6 in either?

Thanks for the recommendations! I will edit the original post when I have a moment.

http://random-name-generator.info/

Pistols (Semi-Automatic +2) 3
Perception (Visual +2): 3
Con (Fast Talk + 2): 6
Etiquette: 4
Impersonation: 3
Leadership: 3
Negotiation: 4
Performance (Juggling +2): 6

Stealth Skill Group: 5
Palming: 5 (Think that would fit character concept.. Playing is useful for concealing items from other perception tests.)
 Disguise: 5
 Stealth: 5

Spend 2 Karma per Skill to get the following at Rating 1
Gymnastics 1
Unarmed Combat 1
Throwing Weapons 1

Alternatively You could make a Carnie Face that is really good with Throwing Weapons (Specializing in Throwing Knives maybe..)

From the Core Book (pg98):

A single contact may not have more than 7
Karma spent on them at character creation.
There are no limits on how many contacts
the character may purchase

I once had a face character named Inyo. (I was 14, ok?)

Well, drek. Looks like Timmy fell into the Dissonance Well again.
