"You know what, Jackie?  You're right.  I'm not mad at you.  Snapping at you is not helping." She pauses to put a hand on his shoulder, the electric fuzz of her shock frills resting on the skin of his neck.  She looks in his eyes.  "Sorry.  We'll catch up later, hey?"
She removes her hand and turns to Heretic and Ramirez.
"I know I'm being rude and I apologize.  Pablo interrupts my good mood and sends for me just to tell me something that he could have over the comm, in a single line of text.  Then Rafa basically says I killed my mother by leaving, which, I apologize, is true!  Why should I be angry when he's right?  It's on me to be better, yeah?"
She sticks out her hand.
"Hello.  Heretic, yes?  Little chulos talk of you often, but they are afraid to say much."
"Ramirez.  Hombre.  Always a welcome sight."
"Rafa, I'm still mad at you."
(She seems calm enough..)
"Pablo.  Pablo.. Why the fuck are we here if we got nothing to discuss?"

Pablo was shook by the woman's ferocity, the animals sensed it too as they began baying and howling. Pablo went from shock to embarrassment to hostility in a matter of a few seconds. His voice boomed "Slot all of you! and take your bitch with you. I cant have no bitches in heat up in here no ways." His voice draws the attention of the Heavies about, two begin walking...or rather being walked by the pitbulls they have on chains who claw anxiously at the concrete floor to make their way over to the commotion.

Pablo steps back his arms up and out in a sign of 'bring it if you dare' as he mutters "You drekheads are on your own now."

Walter stepped through the hallway of "A favor del viento,"  not the most appealing of places to eat but rent above the inn was cheap.  He progressed towards the lone door at the end of the hallway, the boards under his feet squeaked as he proceeded forward. He slide his fingers along the door frame examining the safety measures he left in place before last night out.

Someone was coming up the stairwell rather fast as they made stomped up the steps, Walter knew they would be near the top step soon when he heard the deep squeak of the floorboard.  He spun around gun drawn as he saw a young boy leaning forward as he panting hard after reaching the final step.
"El pequeño diablo... the others...  are on there way... Pablo... dog pound... important meeting... now!"  Quickly the kid reaches out for a half drunk bottle of beer laying on a cart, then reaches up to his brown headband and removes the joint he placed there for good keeping.  "Got a lite essie?"

Walter replaces his gun back into the holster as he approaches the kid, with a flick of his wrist he burnishes his lighter and lites the kid's blunt.  "Those stunt your growth essie."

@ the dog pound
Walter hurries through the crowd as he sees the others following Pablo.  Walter says to himself "Better late than never." and lets out a slight chuckle.  He slips in behind the rest of the group following Pablo, as he thinks to himself "Maybe they won't notice, I mean who really looks down anymore."

Dizzy rolls her eyes at the posturing man and runs a hand through her hair.  "Chinga!  Are you kidding me with this?  You waste my time, and now you're mad at me.  Pathetic.  I ain't even raised my voice at you.  Just asked you to cut the bullshit, but apparently all you are is bullshit.  This is my comm code.  You got any more important messages to pass on, you call me, hey.  Pssh!"

Dizzy turned and began walking towards the exit.
"I was on my own when I walked in here, puta culo."

Hey Dizzy, wait....
Pablo...hell, you called for us because you apparently have a problem. You seemed worried even when we enter. So. Take a deep breath, relax, and let us start once again. We are not a part of this problem, we may be part of the soultion. I personally have a little to loose. If this area falls apart, even if Chulos are gone and Im still alive, Ill simply load my van with all I have and make my way to Tacoma or Big Apple or whatsoever. It is easy to start from beginniong when you got nothing but your skills and pack of tools, and good mechanic will always find a place to live.
You should loose much more.
You build up this place, your bussines, and your reputation and that all puts you into risk. We know each other for how long? Fifteen years? Well. You gave us some credit when you summoned this meeting.
I wont apologize her behavior. But let us dont throw away all that good for one angry chicka.
Dizzy will cool down. You will cool down. Those two guys will cool down.
We everybody be cool and you tell us whats going on and how we should be helpfull.

Quote from: Charisma(3)+Etiquette(2)
Etiquette (5d6.hits(5)=3)

Jack walks up to Pablo, and just tags by as he walks, for a second or two unnoticed, he waits for Pablo to give him any sign he wants to talk.
"Pablo. You know us. You know me. Nobody here wanted this. She's upset, you could've noticed why..."
Jack sneaks a quick look at Rafa, but there is no accusation, or resentment in his eyes. He's just pointing the facts.
"If Your Mother would've been involved, you would react the same way, wouldn't you? I've seen you slice a man open from sternum to chin for insulting her... You called us here for a reason. Don't let your time be wasted by this. I would be grateful, if you continue as if nothing happened. I'll just fill her in later. She's pulling her worth, as everyone here... She just has a harder time getting used to the place again. And if the thing you called us in to discuss is seriou, we will need her skills..."

Heratic shakes Dizzy's hand politely, "Thy often talk hushed words of you too, I hope we can get on well."

After Pablo's reaction,

"Pablo, Dizzy has a point. You called us out from the party that -we- were guarding, to tell us about a meeting you could have just had your doped up little messenger chulo tell us about.

What happens when you try putting too many of your fighting animals in one place? They scrap, amigo. That's what just happened here. So give us all a break and fill us in."

Charisma 5 + Negotiations 4 + Pheromones 2 (11d6.hits(5)=2)

"And If you really had no other reason", his dead eyes flicked between the muscle surrounding Pablo, "You should remember -no one- wastes my time, I just find something else to occupy myself with, amigo."

It sounded completely different that time, or was it his imagination?

Pablo calms to Jack's attempts, but he's still on edge.

BBCode8d6.hits(5)=5

Heretics words hang out there, but dont visibly bring a reaction other than keeping Pablo's voice loud. "If I could have called I would. I dont know where you slots live, but I got No SLOTTIN' signal here." He says as he animatedly presents his commlink to Jack, although his words were others benefit. "Midnight, at the towers." Referring to the Pullyup Towers, an old projects building. "Parking garage, its a meeting of the Carnales, be there or dont. I dont give a fat stinking pile of drek if you are or not, but get the hell out of my place."

Jack smiles again, this time brightly. "No signal, huh? That can be arranged, Pablo. We can get some cheap stuff, and give the local kids a job of gluing it to anywhere between you and the nearest signal zone. Or you could just invest in a satellite uplink. It's just a few hundred. I was checking out new models, and most of them were around 500 yen... I'll check out what I can do, and look for the link anyway. Maybe I can find one liberated from the corpses, or the usual fallen-from-a-truck variety. I'll do what i can. See you then.
He waves to him on his way out, silently motioning to the rest that they should leave. Pablo and his dogs had the temper in common, and working him off could be even worse. He has lots of dogs.

OK Pablo. Will be there. An about that signal...I may put that thing together right here on my knee from that comlink of yours, fision battery from some car or a generator and some wirings, there is enought metal rods in those cages to make this place local radio station. All you need is to ask. Bye.

Leaving...Me first, dobermann second...

@PM: I`ll wait outside in my van, there is no sense in talking to him and Im not interested in his cohones displays.

"Thanks Pablo, it was an experience." One metal hand waved in the air as he left, the other arm found it's way gently onto Jack's shoulders. The VPN bringing up "What's your guess for the meet?"

Rafa just nodded at Pablo and shrugged his shoulders, it might have been an apology, but he didn't feel it was worth wasting words on. He walked out of the kennel, snatched a beer bottle inside the old warehouse and walked out of The Dogpound.
He couldn't help feel slightly responsible for the events... hell, this probably was his responsibility, but not his alone. Not that he cared all that much. He knew each and every one of them had enough street-cred around here to shake this one off without any damage. Truth be told, he hadn't even expected anything different. Too much serious talking was for corpses and people who thought of themselves too highly.

Outside of the pound, he caught sight of Dizzy walking a bit further. Before anyone could respond, he started a small sprint to catch up to her enough to speak to her, but not nearly enough to be considered with her.
"I said I was sorry Diz, you fucking know I didn't mean in that way! But if that's the excuse you need to go all psycho" like she ever needed one "then go ahead. I just wanted to say welcome back, we can't all be as good with words as pretty angel Jack!"
He would have added 'And you don't have to be on your own, you've got friends here!', but he didn't have the balls to say it, and started to doubt if she considered them that way. The gang was a family to him, the only one he had. That this might not be the same for everyone had never really crossed his mind.

He waited for Heretic and Jack to catch up to him and only said "If she doesn't show up, I'll find her and drag her there. She shouldn't be alone... You know I didn't mean what she said I said, right?"

"Don't worry, man. She'll be there. She knows it's important. She'll get used to the place again... You think it was easy for me? Well, I wasn't exactly doing time, but believe me, I would rather at the time. Though this stuff is worth all the pain."
Jack does a back-flip, and continues walking after a perfect landing, just like that...

"She'll be there, you heard her, someone close to her was hurt. She's looking for the truth. I know what that's like."

Heratic? Empathy without a program slotted or shoving tempo down his throat? This was a strange sight.
