Are there any negative modifiers before I roll my dice, including the dice for my program (Empathy)?

Also, my kit includes:

Ever stylish suit: Berwick
Half suit body armor
Colt Asp
Conceal Holster: Back
x2 Moon Clips (reloads for Asp)
Commlink (running Empathy prog.)
Lighter (camera)
Mempo mask

Same mistake as before Mata, talk money after you know the data. But what's done is done. modifiers similar to previous, but some of them no longer apply so they have lesser impact:

What you want from the Johnson, isn't in his interest, he want the job done, and done today, but the budget has been set already. -1 dice

Jaron, create an impression of important person, that can be influential in your future endavours especially jobs via Tabby. You don't want to sell cheap, but you want to sell. -3 dice. He has also respected street that make you a little in awe (wheter you admit it or not) cred addidional -2 dices

You don't really know the background of the situation (how important it is to Johnson). You have the right skills, but you lack the facts, to back them up. -2 dice.

Additional aura readings from Strykers give you an edge here of +1 dice. Would be more if Stryker have some kind of detect truth spell working.

That is a total -7 dices for you (from 19 if I recall correctly), and the opposing roll against his  Charisma (5) + Negotiations (5): 10d6.hits(5)=3

Sorry for a small delay ;)

Stryker just stands one step behind Mata, and a bit to the left, watching the negotiations. He gives in to the temptation, and gives their employer a quick look through his Inner Eyes.
Intuition(5)+Assensing(2) (7d6.hits(5)=3)
He tries to both find out his emotions, and look at his aura, and find out if this disability could be cured in any non-invasive way. Using the trodes he has on Stryker sends the info on his emotional status to Mata Tabi...

1
• The general state of the subject’s health (healthy, injured, ill, etc.). - he is disabled, paralyzed from the waist down, an Astral aura below waist is almost lifeless, there is no way you could help him without serious surgery, involving most probably replacement of the legs into cyber limbs.

• The subject’s general emotional state or impression (happy, sad, angry) - he is disturbed strongly, despise the cool professional appearance.

• Whether the subject is mundane or Awakened. - he is mundane

2
• The presence and location of cyberware implants. - none
• If you have seen the subject’s aura before, you may recognize it, regardless of physical disguises or alterations.

3
• Whether the subject’s Essence is equal to your own.
• A general diagnosis for any maladies (diseases or toxins) the subject suffers. - his spine has been damaged beyond repair
• Any astral signatures present on the subject. - none
Sorry for a small delay ;)

I dont see how its a mistake, I'm engaging him into discussions on the price and the job...its haggling, and if you accept a job before you know the details you're stuck in a bad deal with your rep on the line.

Minus 7 dice

Nothing stops you from asking more questions before you go back to the money issue.
I do write longer posts. Its better to assume some answer then risk stalling the game.

Chrona: Since I want to press the action further and the encryption isn't critical now, let us stay with the rolls you've done. And state your commlink nodes are encrypted using common password. I need to read the rules there more.

we can, but I think this was actually smart move - I just need to read the rulebook about this. It's up to you

Alight i'll keep the 1S, we say the encryptions done but we'll deal with actual rolls once we know more from the books

Base upon the reading. You have rating 4 encryption. You need one complex action to encrypt node with it.
Having encrypted nodes allow you to use it after issuing the password. This will take one simple action to logon after logoff.

The encryption rating 4 provide you with target of 8 for cryptoanalysis attempts. (with 10 DP this should take 4 combat turns on average)

Quote
In itiate Cryptanalysis (Decrypt)
You have your Decrypt program start working on an encryption to
which you have access. Cryptanalysis is an Electronic Warfare +
Decrypt (encryption rating x 2, 1 Combat Turn) Extended Test. When
you reach the threshold, the encryption is broken. When you break the
encryption of a file, the file becomes decrypted. When you use this on
a node, you may access that node, but it remains encrypted to others.

Sounds good but isn't the encrypt action listed as a simple action?

Cursor will data search the victim, run a trace using falcone's link and then examine and/or hack the commlink from the room.

but i need some sleep, cya tomorrow guys, sent feel free to do those rolls for me so the others can continue

Stryker will try to remember what that knife and feather could mean. They have obviously mystical meaning, even if they're not magical themselves.

Wilco, is a dwarf of average hieght although a little broader than most. He has pale skin and red hair, with a gotee hanging down just below his neck. The van is painted black with a red strip down it. Think about Mr. T's van from the A-team.
