Mata Tabi discounts the idea of  the Atzlander refugees, this was too quiet for them by the discription given to him by O'Reilly. "Yeah look around, if you've the time. And, how you want the money?"

the time now is 08:00 pm. 13:00 hours to the ransom deadline

The sunset has gone down with Stryker watching every inch of it going down. Wilco opened another beer. Eightstone won another match of Starcraft (you've noticed Peaches icon on the node btw.). Cursor pondered on frequencies (out of boredom you checked out on Ares main node (OOC: Response 6, Signal 6, System 6, Firewall 10). All the while Mata was browsing through his contacts.

Then his commlink chirped again.
I had to make some expenses friend, costed me 1000 NY, so please make a transfer.
That Belenkiy of your was often seen at Marcel’s with talking the some Chicano dwarf Ramses or something like that —talk to him, but be wary, this place is a Mafia's one.
This Feather is a mark of one of those Sioux girls — the Black Cats…yeah that’s what they call themselves. They can usually be found at the Hardpan.
The Knife is the mark of the Aztlan terrorists in the Downtown, but most of them got busted last month as far as my chummers says.
and finally I dug out something about the Jaron Falcone of yours. word has that before he got stuck in that chair, you could
usually get a little extra if you brought back the latest and greatest in cybertech and computers. The street is also humming about a washed out Decker called HammerJack that has been digging up any dirt he can on Falcone and coming up empty.

Sorry for a small delay ;)

"What've you got so far Mata?"
Cursor fiddled with a bolt in his hands. "I might try the Ares Node, I'd be out of commission for hours though. 2, minimum."

Mata Tabi is all smiles "You never disappoint Omae." Mata Tabi makes a transfer to Omae's account for 1200 NY "And thanks for the quick service, once this is done I'll drop by and we'll share a bottle of something expensive, but got to run the clocks ticking." Hanging up Mata Tabi turns to the others in the van "It wasnt cheap, but reliable information never is, so......." Mata purses his lips "how do I put this, am I to assume the total loss or are we all kicking in here?"

"Hold off on that Cursor-san. I need you to trace a HammerJack, he/she's a Hacker very interested in our employer. See what you can dig up on him/her, kay?"

HammerJack

public knowledge
A high profile decker, reputed to be very good. He’s an old-timer always complaining about how things aren’t the way they used to be.

limited availability
on one of the Denver's chat nodes you found a comment on HammerJack: "Freak-azoid. You can talk to him and he just spaces out and comes back"
on another chat node you've found an unencrypted log of the discussion between two chat room members "He’s got beef with a man named Falcone — there are data searches perpetually flowing out of Union Station."
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Mata, " I can be counted on for my part of the NY"   The expensive drink is all yours, unless ofcourse I partake as well. I do have a fondness for drink if you haven't noticed.

quote]OOC: A more throughout search would take some time. You have no tracking skills, so it would be Intution + 1(due to your excelent groundcraft pilot abilities) (12 - a very difficult task, 1 hour) extended test. and after taking complete check you would either find the tracks, or would be reasonably sure they weren't using groundcraft vehicle.

I hope i do this right if not please let me know. This is my first attempt at shadowrun in 4 years. Ok here we go.
Intuition +1 also using 1 edge dice= (6,6,5,5,4,2,2) reroll the two 6's and they are (5,4)

"I of course will cover the cost of the drinks I have with a friend. Perhaps if you aquit yourself well..." Mata's eyes wander again to Eight-Stone behind his glasses, tinted dark. "I'll find it agreeable to enjoy a toast or two in celebration." But nowhere I'm known Mata thinks inwardly.

"Good work Cursor-san. So, the choices are track the Hacker, meet with an acquantence of Belinkiy's who might know more about our package, or try tracking down the slitches who may have done the extraction at the bar they frequent."

Eight-Stone spends the remaining time at the ranch reviewing the surveillance footage for as long as he can, trying to remember important details. Three human or elven women. Amerindians, wearing tribal masks. It was a rather distinctive style. If these ladies had been running the shadows for any length of time, in that get-up, maybe they'd have a bit of a reputation? It was a bit of a longshot, but it was the only idea Eight-Stone had at the moment.

<<txt 2 Mr.Twist: looking for information on a runner team. three women, human or elven, amerindians, run around in tribal masks. at least one has some mojo, from what i understand. will pay for info>>

The was no telling what, if anything, Mr. Twist might dig up. Dude was batshit insane, but resourceful. Afterwards, Eight-Stone sent a quick text to Claw.

<<txt 2 Claw: so... took the job. interesting stuff. there a reason you weren't interested in it yourself, darlin?>> Eight-Stone hoped that his light-hearted message wouldn't conceal the fact that he was genuninely curious. Eight-Stone had a dark little feeling in his gut that Claw knew the job stank and shunted it off to him, but no... they'd known each other way too long for that. Maybe she was just feeling generous? Or trying to make the leap to fixer? Heck, anything would beat Twist.

As an afterthought, Eight-Stone sent another text. <<thanks, by the way.>> He attached a deposit of 100 nuyen, ready to be sent to Claw's account with the click of an AR button. Eight-Stone sent Cursor a surreptitious glance as he forward the funds; hopefully the hacker wouldn't scold him for sending nuyen from his ghetto commlink. Matrix nerds were always so uptight about that kind of thing.

Only after he finished his business did Eight-Stone decide to open up a window for some Starcraft. He warmed up with some games against the computer, slaying the ancient "AI" with practiced, almost meditative efficiency. Looking for a bigger challenge, and sensing Peaches' icon, he immediately sent her an invite to play.

Stryker seemed to ignore the buzzing comm chatter, spacing out and only sometimes whispering inaudible words to his own open hands. He's obviously only half-present, his mind still in the meat, but not really interested in the physical realm.
He was sending out tiny bits of Mana, infused with his own Will, shaped in the most abstract forms possible, flowing out and in all the time, listening to his commands, and returning to relay any tidbits of information they could...

the reply from Claw was quite short. Can't tak rightknow, lead is flyin around, cathc you later.

the reply from Twist was a little twisted. First it didn't came from his commcode. But that was something you expected by now. Second it wasn't him callign but it was a replayed trid animation of a cat (very sketchy, childish like picture) telling you this in girlie voice:
what you asked is what you got,
you've never asked and I've never told,
I could've told you, of course for a fee,
but since I like you, I'll help you for free

and suddenly changing to orcish grumble:
This are Four Sioux women, that are tighter than an urban brawler’s choke hold. Clean and professional, they work out of the Hardpan for Sandy.

and changing again this time to the boyish voice and a very skinny dog icon (ale drawn in sketchy hands)
I could have told you a little more
but you'd need to help me to feed this poor dog.

there was an AR transfer order on some carraibean bank accunt for 200 NY sculpted as a bone.

Quote
OOC: since you accept up to 500 NY I assumed you clicked the tranfer
as soon as you did the encoded part replayed itself changing to orcish grumble again:
I heard once that they walked away from a job in the middle of an extraction because the Johnson insulted one of their team.

While you call your contacts, Wilco drive around the ranch looking for trails of the kidnapping team.

OOC: roll one more die - adding edge counts as adding amount of dice equeal to your edge (2 in your case). You've already scored 5 hits which is pretty impressive using 7 dice after first hour. it should one or two more to complete.
