(12.0 seconds)

The Tank Sprite level his cann and fired massive shell at the same time as a side gun emitted a cloud of particles in the direction of BearTooth_1.
The electron speed at which IC had moved saved him from harm however with the same speed he had also thrown his tomahawk at the Cursor's head. Cursor's firewall however seems to stop the tomahawk in mid air, it then derezzes and appears in the warriors hand again.

An instant later a single sound of the tribal drum had been heard and before the sound died off a chromed Sioux woman warrior appeared in the node. Woman this time which Cursor had quickly tagged as user: Sandy, administrative priviliges.

Meanwhile, the second user logged off.

Meanwhile in another reality

The message from Cursor, made Stryker painfully aware when face of barkeeper woman hardened even more and she frozen mid-move during pouring beer from the tap.
Her eyes again audibly refocused and her hands covered with AR fingercovers tapped fast.
A quick look at Eight-stones confirmed, he's noticed that too from his position near door.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Stryker poked one of his Watchers mentally, and the radiant little creature materialized in front of Sandy, nudging her, and pointing at the tap. "Beer is spilling! Don't spill beer! Beer!" it screeched. At the same time he continued the conversation, trying to find out as much about how the local shamans view and treat Spirits...

(13.0 seconds)

Cursor threaded his exploit complex form to much higher capacity. While tank fired massive shell at the appearing administrator....

meanwhile in another reality
Watcher manifested in front of the barkeeper. What? she responded dizzily, and in then jerked and catched the table as if suddenly hit in the back of her head with a hammer.

back in matrix reality
... and hitting it straight in the chest.

Sioux warrior immediatelly thrown back the axe again with the same result as before - the axe has stopped and returned into his hand.
On the other side of the room another warrior appeared.

Using the threaded form (looking like a portable MAD scanner) Cursors started to look for node central processing unit. Finding it in the wall. started to peel out layers of protective software.

Tank fired another shell at Sandy, this time missing, when she without a reason started to move again.
Like in repeating trid (but this time in double) two tomahawks flied into face of Cursor, but he hadn't even flinch as they stopped and returned.

Sioux chromed warrior woman disappeared.

meanwhile in another reality

Motherfragger !! stumbling below the bar she pressed an emergency button. The music died. The lights died.

For Cursor it seemed like an implosion of a black hole straight below his feets. ICs, Tank, datastores everything was pulled down and dispelled into bits of light and darkness.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Stryker followed the Wildcats instincts, almost diving for cover, but still in an elegant way, that excluded panic. He considered switching his perception to astral, but in the chaos his magical senses could fail him. Despite the lights going out, he had a pretty good view of the situation, so seeing Cursor with a gun in his hand he immediately barked a subvocal command to him. "No shooting! Not first!"
He turned his head to the left - a moment before he hid his face and throat in a innocuous way, so they couldn't tell he's contacting the team - and looked at his new acquaintances. "What the Abyss? Does this happen often? What do we do now?

Mata Tabi hadnt really noticed the music or lights dying as he enjoyed the expensive imported cigarette. Cursor's shout over the line however brought an end to his revelry, the cigarette fumbling from his fingers as he's caught off guard. Mata went towards the van as he texted quickly 'What's going on?' then, as he realizes its a dumb question 'Eight stone going to pull his weight, or should I leave the van door open for him?'

This days, turning off the lights doesn't seem to hinder anyone. half of the patrons can see in the dark naturally, the other half has low- or infra-vision googles or cyber eyes. The remainder of those who skipped last half a century of technology progress are those who see astrally or so drunk already that doesn't care.

Some didn't even noticed turning off the music dancing to their own implanted synth players.

Most however do, and they were fast to walk outside the bar onto the fresh april evening.

Eightstone swimming against the flow of bodies easily with his masss moved quickly to cover Cursor, press his gun to him, and walk him out. Stryker left as the last one hearing loud bitchings of Sandy on fraggin' hackers in a long spectacular cursing combos in several languages that made him wonder on a more intimate aspects of life of both Cursor and herself.

Mata was waiting at the van, and when they got in Wilco slowly but accelerating rolled away mixing into flow of other cars also  leaving the silent place.

Several blocks later you've stopped to discuss your next move. When Wilco's drone reported arrival at the meeting place. Wilco quickly jackein to make a scan himself providing you with a map of the surroundings.

The time is 10:35 pm, 2:25 hours to the meeting with BlackCats, 10:25 hours to the ransom deadline.

Cursor sat glaring at his feet in the van.

"I'll stay in the van incase they've been warned about me.

Hack the Ares Node while I wait Yes/No?"

Mata smiles and taps his face and neck as he speaks with Cursor "Cursor-san, sometimes sitting in the van is dangerous too." He laughs for a moment "If you feel up to it then I wont stop you, but why dont you rest for a bit. You look like you're hammered."

Stryker unpacked his MedKit without a word, and re-adjusted his Inner Eye to give him a better view on Cursor's health status. He was at least a bit curious how that kind of damage looks like, and how the matrix-induced state interacts with metahuman body...

Then after going back to normal perception, and he proceeded with applying First Aid, acting cool and steady, but it was obvious he was doing things mechanically, because his skills wouldn't allow much more. He's not the best field medic, but he does work good with the MedKits on-board autosoft...

After a while you see Stryker shaking his head, and he finally speaks up. "I'm sorry, I can't do anything. You're a Technomancer, right? I could try the usual routine, and mess with your abilities. No way I'm going to risk something like that. I'd probably kill anyone who'd mess with my Wholeness, even with good intentions. That's not something that grows back... So, no. I will try magic instead. It should be safe, but I've never tried it on a Technomancer before." Before Cursor can react he makes a few unerring and in(meta)humanly quick jabs with his index fingers, making his patient loose breath for a while...

But after a few seconds Cursor felt the internal pain subsided, and slowly faded away... "It might sting a little." Stryker starts packing his bags with a smirk on his face. "You're clean. Whole. No resistance, nothing unusual. It seems we have more in comon than I thought, mr. Digital Wizard..."

Cursor clears his throat and stretches, "Thanks Styker, I had a friend who thought like that about technomancers and mages before. Something about Ideas effecting Mana so Technology Making Technomancers. I dunno, never understood it myself."
