In his most apologetic tone, "Fine Fine, calm down. I can pool the 2,500 but I honestly don't have the cash -personally- to afford paying 5,000 without the rest of my team pitching in. That's no lie."

Wilco, sends his storm cloud back to the meet site for some last minute recon. Looking for anything that seems odd, out of the ordinary. Also zooms in on potential ambush sites.

Ok, I guess you know who took the package?
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Mata is about the business of punching in his order for Troll Girthed womens underwaer in the 'Flatz Spectacular' machine as he listens to Falcone. "Yes, I know what I'm doing Mr. Falcone. It's why you hired me and the team. The team that took the package is professional and most importantly tight-knit as in they dont work with people outside their team, and we've handled this professionally...we could have gone in heavy handed and possibly got the package damaged. Be glad we're just that good, as it now appears the ransom is bogus and this HammerJack is a red herring."

Just bring him back safe. With that he disconnected. That he used 'him' instead of 'package' over the call is probably the sign of stress wearing him out. The ransom time is ticking and having to believe on word that everything is cool isn't something he is probably used to.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

"Yes, a Shadowrunner  team...what were the... called.. Sioux lot they were... Hardpan. No, no sorry that was their club... Something animal related. Sorry my memories terrible, I think I saved it in a notepad file somewhere..."

He starts flicking through ARO screens in front of void, obviously scrolling through his commlink contents. "Ah! Here it is, sorry about that. The Black Cats."

"Shooter tell me that's long enough"

And what about the ransom?

Frag! You hit anonymizer. You passed it, but you need at least 4 hits to destination, unless he used more than one (make more rolls).

No, that's not my problem, I was just wondering and it is only slightly related to the material I have for you. I only want some money on the side. So you're ready to pay that 2,5 grant?

"Ah I see."

Spins him the request to the team, "Mr. Void would like 2,500 for his trouble of keeping us informed, I will need you all to pitch in."

It then comes up as "Sent".

"Last job had pretty hefty hospital bills, Johnson didn't pay great either, I hope you can sympathise?"
Come ooooooooon.

Yeah, I know how bad it can be. The last job I took left me brainless for months, it took me almost a year to pickup the pieces of my brain, and I still feel kinda empty. The rumble rolled over the Void's icon.

make some rolls please - you have so far 16 hits, need 18 if he is using two.
I'll wait with my next post until we get the response of the rest of the team.

Well, that was back in fifties. We had to go into the place physically, and to cut the long story short, they got me, and then put the plug into my brain without the deck filters straight into virus infected system. Your team is alive or no?

Sorry, I couldn't resist more Void's rambling.
and yes that's lock on - he is using the public access hub in Union Station +1 edge for you.

Public access hub in Union Station, Go. NOW. Find him, I can't keep him talking forever, he's in VR, used to run in 2050, so he's the old limp guy, probably using a wire to access the matrix.
"They're probably trying to remember how to type, they aren't matrix skilled. But seriously, Decking, I've always been really Interested In it, could you tell me more about it while we wait?

Stryker appeared in front of the gathering at the ranch, first as a hazy silhouette, that consolidated into his exact image. The projection of his mind did the same as his Astral body - bowed politely to Mr. Falcone, and spoke.
"Good evening, Sir. And to your guests. I come to report on our progress and give you a more thorough update of the events. I have not discussed my appearance here with the team, because I think they don't know whom to believe. I am inclined to believe that your concern is honest, and you did not know about the ransom demand being made by a third party."

He stand firmly in mid-air, inches above the ground, smiling lightly. Stryker isn't good with 'people skills', but the one gift he has is perception. He looks at the people gathered there and judges their reactions...

Regardless of the outcome he continues...

"Mr Belenkyi was 'abducted' by a Sioux shadowrunner team called 'Black Cats'. We visited their favorite club, Hardpan, and contacted their fixer to set up a meeting, but I've decided to check some things out, because we found a few pieces of info that didn't quite fit the picture. The Black Cats are a honorable group, and apparently they don't do kidnapping or wetwork, and definitely no ransoming. So I've contacted them, and found out they were hired to extract Mr. Belenkyi and return them two days later. Or at least that's what I deduced from the conversation. The Shaman lady I've talked with assured me Mr. Belenkyi will be back home tomorrow. I do not know why they were hired, and by whom, as they couldn't discuss these things, as I couldn't possibly discuss the matter of our mission beyond the fact that we want to return Mr. Belenkiy to safety. They didn't know about the ransom demand, and I'm sure about that - she couldn't have masked her emotions, her reaction to the feather lest at the scene was proof of that." He makes a slight pause, to let Mr. Falcone digest the facts he relied.
"We could have engaged them, but that would be unwise and unnecessary, and possibly even dangerous to Mr. Belenkiy. We know where they're located for the moment, and they know that we know. Instead we decided to pursue the other lead. Origins of the ransom note. We had a suspect - Hammerjack. He seemed to have a grudge with Mr. Belenkiy, and had the skills and resources to find out about the Black Cat's action, and try to exploit them to his own end. There is also a possibility that he hired them, but as they don't do dirty work, the death threat was by all means an empty one. Our Matrix specialist is actually bargaining with one Mr. Void, who offered us information vital to our mission. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them if I can, and then return to my body, before the team relocates... I hope they won't do that, as chasing my mortal shell across Denver would be a real royal pain..." He ends his monologue, and awaits their response.

Mata recieves the text from Cursor as he's quickly walking back to the van. Upon approaching "Wilco and Eight-stone, you get that message from Cursor-san? You two should go get him while I handle this upstairs in his apartment."
