Sprawl Ops debacle

There's been some serious problems with shipping Sprawl Ops, and while Canada and Australia will be fine, EU took the hit. So chances are I have to wait another half year or so on Sprawl Ops.

A short summary:
- Lynnvander updated address-list with the ~80 received address-changes
- PSI needed a different format
- Lynnvander produced the new format, forgot the manual changes
Result: ~80 games got shipped to wrong addresses, some couldn't be redirected and so some people had to wait longer, plus ~15 games weren't returned from their bad addresses

- Catalyst provided PSI with SKUs, somewhere a mistake happened and as a result, PSI started sending out Jarl instead of the 5/6 expansion and Encounters instead of Crossfire Refit
- This was discovered while shipping was still ongoing
- All shipments after that did include the right boxes
BUT
- Bad SKUs got overcorrected (people who ordered Encounters received the Refit instead)
- Correction shipments (expansions) accidentally included the base game
Result: 895 Legendary Boxes too many were sent out

- These boxes were taken out of the intended surplus and the EU shipment
- Catalyst and Lynnvander are discussing ways for people to be able to ship the duplicates back for store credit
- People can hand in duplicates at Origins and GenCon for credit

Even though shipping back is possible, the chances are significant that not all stock will be in time, so EU likely will have a significant delay. Worst case we have to wait for a second production run. And Catalyst is, after Legendary Box and extra game boards on their expense, plus Jarl, Encounters and all of this, already near $30k in the red on Sprawl Ops. Fun time for all. Especially the people that then claim that Catalyst is to blame for the overcorrection.

I haven’t received anything in Japan yet so I’m fearing I won’t get anything. He never mentioned Asia in his posts.

Same with my Executive Dice. They got lost in the mail as well

Man that sucks. That reminds me: Whatever happened to my Executive Dice? That's already 50 days ago.

*checks UPS* Finally arrived at UPS 4 days ago, went from Miami to Miami and now has been processed in Miami...

I ended up having a back & forth chat with customer service that concluded with a backorder for the next run of dice (likely happening later this month).

Then my dice showed up 2 days after that (on June 10).

Happy that they showed.
Not pleased with their shippers - lost in the system for 7 weeks isn't good.

If its not fun, then why are you doing it?

Please keep your Catalyst-hatemongering out of a topic that has nothing to do with it. The debacle here is due to the fulfillment company screwing up, putting Catalyst massively in the red. The other mistake was Lynnvander's.

Huh. You know my dice showed up in the shipping info around the same time. So I guess it happened for everyone, not just a single package?

It's not hate mongering, it's observation.

And per your own summation Catalyst handed them the wrong SKUs.

And this ain't nothing new for Catalyst, we all know how people have had to come to these boards and plead for product they ordered months (or even a year ago) shipped to them because no one answers emails on their commerce site.

Truth is not hate mongering Chandra. Catalyst agreed to do business with those companies, regardless of who screwed up what the buck stops with Catalyst, fair or not, if you can get your product to your customers it's all for nothing. There is reason I only buy PDF these days.

I don't think anyone is too surprised there Adzling. But it's good to know I'm on Chandra block list, frankly I'm really good with that.  I also like that 3 sentence now constitutes a rant, I'll be sure to mention that in future when it comes up lol. 

Anyways lets hope Sprawl Ops is a great success. Wouldn't be first project that had something of rocky start and went on to do well.

I was sent an email right after I ordered in the beginning about a label being printed then nothing.
I recently contacted them about it and was told they would put me on the June reorder ... Now I wait and hope I’ll get them soon, hopefully before next session.

Sadly this isn’t the first time I have had problems with shipping directly from the Company.
So I used amazon for my books instead. I’d rather pay a little extra to be 100% I get my books

shut up Pixel! Go complain about Catalyst somewhere else! Clearly you've got issues if you just came to this thread to complain about other instances of Catalyst's abysmal customer service track record, which they don't have. You just made that up.
