Am I to take it that I can’t fire a Ruger Super Warhawk in SS mode because it list only SA mode. If so, that makes no sense. I just want to pull the trigger once

Yeah I think that's an error. I'd assume SA weapons can fire single rounds.

You can also buy gas vents to take away the -2 AR penalty and a speed loader or smartlink to make reloading a minor action, that way you get a +1 DV with minimizing the negatives.

That’s my problem actually. I’m running a adept face and losing those 2 points in AR is hurting a lot. I’d rather be able to shoot 1 bullet for regular AR than get that plus 1 DV. I think most of the time i’ll shoot randomly and try to scare people with intimidation checks.

I’m trying to follow this. So SA is now burst fire and the 6 shot revolver is forced to fire in burst fire mode?

SA and BF both raise DV at the cost of lowering AR.  And yeah the Warhawk is listed as SA, which by RAW doesn't include the ability to fire a single shot.  It must come with a damn light trigger pull from the factory.    ;D

Feels like another typo. Warhawk has always been as but more damage innately than other pistols. If it’s intended it seems like a change for changes sake.

also SA it seems odd that it has to be multiple shots.

As Michael Chandra stated upthread, it's safe to assume that RAI is SA can fire in SS mode.  I'm sure the Errata team will get to it.

Basically, because of the switch from Simple/Complex to Major/Minor actions, and because all attacks are Major actions, the difference between SS and SA can no longer be reflected in the action economy. So now, SS is a single bullet, and SA is a double-tap. The latter has the damage code and attack value mods mentioned upthread. SS guns can only do the former, SA guns (it seems is RAI) can do either.

SA Major Action is now the same as Fire Semi-Auto Burst Complex Action from SR5 (which was also multiple shots), but it only spend 2 bullets now (you basically double tap your target for +1 DV and -2 AR).

It is not very clear when reading the book, but I would like to think that you can also choose to aim at one target, tap the trigger once and then aim at another target and tap the trigger a second time. By spending a major action, minor action, splitting the pool, get +/- 0 AR against the highest DR and deal +/0 DV on each target.

It is not very clear when reading the book, but I would like to think that you, in SA mode, can also choose to aim at one target, tap the trigger once. For +/0 DV and +/0 AR. By spending a Major action.

If this is intended then it need to be clarified.

BF Major Action is now the same as Fire Long Burst Complex Action from SR5, but it only spend 2 x 2 bullets now (you basically tap the trigger twice for +2 DV and -4 AR).

You can also choose to aim at one target, tap the trigger once and then aim at another target and tap the trigger a second time. By spending a major action, minor action, splitting the pool, get -2 AR against the highest DR and deal +1 DV on each target.

It is not very clear when reading the book, but I would like to think that you, in BF mode, can also choose to aim at one target, tap the trigger once. For +1 DV and -2 AR. By spending a Major action.

If this is intended then it also need to be clarified.

I'm assuming it's change blindness and yes SA can fire single rounds, but we'll need errata to know for sure.

Well I’m glad I asked the question but what do RAW and RAI stand for.  Acronyms suck

Rules As Written - the letter of the law
Rules As Intended - the spirit of the law

In perfectly written and edited rules, these are the same.
