I am working on a project and I seem to recall readong about a group called something along the name of "First Canadian" or "Canadian First" or something to that effect. My problem is I can not remrmber where I say it and kf it was just in passage or if it was detailed.

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?

Could you be thinking of TerraFirst! (yes, it's always spelt as a single word with an exclamation point)?

They're an eco-terrorist group that was pretty big in the "backstory" for Shadowrun, since it was a TerraFirst! attack on a Shiawase Corporation nuclear reactor that would (in part) lay the legal groundwork for corporate extraterritoriality... Or so it was thought for years. It was later revealed (and/or retcon'd depending on how you feel about it) that Shiawase had conspired with other corporations to stage the attack; an act now thought to be the first shadowrun....
Evil looms. Cowboy up. Kill it. Get paid.

No. There was definitely the word Canadian (or maybe Canada) in the group name. Could have been something introduced in passing (in the Jackpoint comments) in the 4th or 5th edition though.

The one thing I can remember/find off hand is in No Future, where in the write-up for the Organisation Trivideo de Quebec it contains "In short order,
the OTQ flipped back to powerfully pro-Quebec
and, interestingly, patriotic Canadian content,
giving air time to assorted Canadian revival movements,
and freedom-fighters in former-Canadian
nations."

Although I have a vague feeling of having seen mention of a group name, somewhere.

I did not know about the OTQ, I'll look into it. Thank you.

I'm glad to see, I'm not the only one with a vague sense of seeing them mentioned at least.

Still not  group name, but in the Streetpedia entry on Quebec, it concludes:

"Ever since then, Québec
has struggled to stabilize its economy without the
national megacorp’s help, and it’s become a flashpoint
for both the Canadian reunification and Québecois protectionist
movements."

So two books suggesting that there is something of the sort happening ...  (btw, nothing in Better Than Bad or The Complete Trog.  As I get time I'll search the pdfs of others to see if I can find something, but if the name doesn't include Canada or Canadian I'll likely miss it)
