I think Lochkid is able to decipher Juicers expresion, just before Im leaving...
@Juicer: Dont take me wrong. Ive never been after the beast nor man if he wasn been a lethal menace and I dont collect my oponents heads as trophies. More I feel pitty for they fall into darkness. But Ive marked the note Midnight did about the doctor and his love for the Big Game Hunting. If we could use it against him, even if it all would be nothing but well played charade, it should make our work easier.
@Nomad: Well travel expenses are on Mdnights account. And I think it would be nice to do all the planning in Honolulu. It may be our last days, so lets make them pleasant...:)

Tenzin had an absent air during the last phase of the words war that was going on over the elegant desk in the center of the room. That lady, Silk, with apparent coolness and professionalism, had managed to get from the smoking J the amount required to engage himself in this run, and negotiations had not yet completed, so that it looked like things could still go even better in the economic aspect.
A single word took him out from his state of absorption. Polynesia. From his academic training at the monastery, he recalled that Polynesia is a group of islands located in the middle of the South Pacific, not far from the Australian east coast. Remote lands where magic was powerful, unpredictable and capricious, mistress of everyone and everything that stood in the landscape. Ancient words of his master returned to his mind...mana storms...had known and faced that kind of ancient power in the cloud that enveloped Tibet, and it isn't precisely the experience that someone is willing to repeat...
The encounter could terminate, and all members of the group were leaving the booth, and headed to some high tables near the bar. Tenzin waited until everyone had left the room, leaning on the same site where he had been throughout the reunion; then, he nodded slightly in the direction of Mr. J as a sign of respect, and followed in the footsteps of others, along the lighted Inferno's dance floor, where dozens of metahuman bodies dressed in the latest fashion were vibrating under the thundering tribal rhythms that echoed in the local.
Mana storms, creatures that should not be on the face of the Earth and a corporation playing God and bringing them back to the planet...and on top of that, corporation seemed to be Aztechnology. Never had anything to do with them, and would have preferred that things continue that way. Not just the enemy that you want to be after yout butt when you get up every morning....This would not be just a rose garden, but the numbers were dizzying, and immediately will alleviate his financial difficulties
Reached the group when they were handing out some drinks that someone had requested; he did get a bottle of water, as fashionable as the room itself, and lifted her to participate in the toast proposed by the architect of the successful negotiations.

@Channel -- Relatively short time in Seattle, so I can not recommend any particular site where we can meet tomorrow; certainly I can't speak too well about mock food being served at the Panama Motel, where I stay, just a few blocks from here. You can find me there, or PM me indicating place and time for appointment

"Guys I can guarantee you somewhere private to talk tomorrow, but bring a packed lunch and gimme somewhere to pick you up from, you know, like your going to school that morning."

He grins as he flips the next page in AR

"Thanks Juicer, I'm quite happy with the result myself. That eatery sounds good... if you send me the address, I'll definately check it out later. Not really sure if it's fit for this occasion though. I would prefer something with a private room."

Silk smiles at Tenzin and addresses him in a teasing voice. "So do you have a voice, or is there monastic vow only to speak through commlinks that I'm unfamiliar with?"

She sends Gaunt with a questioning look as he mentions the meeting place, but sees that he's enjoying whatever his surprise will be, so simply shrugs and smiles at him.
"I'll send you an address around 11:00 tomorrow... Girl like me in a place like this, never know where you end up waking, right?"
The wink and the laugh that follows makes it difficult to ascertain if that was a joke or not.
She sips her cocktail and turns her attention to the crowd, anxiety to join the party herself slowly building up.

What, do you have some kind of lair on wheels or something?

Actually, forget I asked. Surprise me.

Nomad sent Gaunt a street address for the pickup tomorrow. It was a residential area in the barrens... not too nice, but not too shabby. Actually, it was a coffee shop a couple blocks from where Nomad lived. Hey, you're not the only one with security paranoia, my friend... he thought to himself.

After the toast to the great outcome that the negotiations had been for the group, Tenzin took a long drink of water. His throat was dry, although had not opened his mouth, and all communications from him had taken place through the encrypted channel enabled by the group. His lack of words was the subject of joke for the architect of the successful negotiations.

"Sorry about me speaking so little, but have little confidence in my poor English, and didn't want to hinder negotiations in any way. Through the comm I can lean on translation software, and feel more comfortable."

She laughed out loud at Tenzin's answer, a sincere and well meant laugh at what he said, not how he said it.
"Your English sounds okay to me. Sure, an accent, but not much worse than LochKid, doesn't seem to keep him from talking! Haha. Girls like accents sweetie. Elvish, well trained body, mysterious foreign look and that accent, there's no reason you should sleep alone in a motel room tonight!"
"Want me to help you find a girl here? I'm really good at picking out the easy ones.", she added with a wink and a playful grin.

Herself, she couldn't even remember what she sounded like naturally, she hadn't used her own voice or speech pattern in decades. It brought back painful memories of a young dead woman's life, so she had repressed it just like all the other things that didn't fit in with whatever role she currently played.

She looked at him with a frown, but kept smiling kindly. "Cantonese? Mandarin? Sperethiel? Japanese?", she asked in 4 different languages, then switched back to English. "Nothing? Oh, I always like learning new languages! Good thing we'll be spending some time together."

Nothing from Cheyenne yet... Come on girl, in a place like this I can beat you.

Tenzin looked at her, slightly confused and disoriented, and not quite sure if her last comment was just a new joke , or by the other side, she was spoking quite seriously.
Wow, this lady is an innate bargaining one. Just closed a great economic treatment for all of us, and now trying to help manage the sexual fun tonight... or maybe that indirect proposition conceals a more direct one? The girl seems to have a wild desire to have fun tonight...
Girls, sex ... did not feel embarrassed or frightened in such situations, but they weren't something that he would grant a capital importance. Although the origins of the Buddhist tradition imposed celibacy as one of the three capital pillars for the soul purity, that restriction had been softened over the centuries, and as of today, Buddhist monks were able to maintain relationships and even marriage. However, Tenzin had spent much of his life in a monastic setting where contact with women was sporadic and casual, and could only talk about some "minor sexual skirmishes" from its stage at Hong Kong. He had learned to control his primary impulses.

"Don't be upset about my refusal, really appreciate your offer, but tonight I'm here only as a matter of business. Maybe at another time, perhaps elsewhere"
, replied as returning the mischievous wink. Then, turning to their native language, he added
"Sino-Tibetan, mainly"...and switching back to English, he ended saying: "Quid pro quo, lady. You learn this one, you help me mastering English"

Careful, you're starting to behave like Aswan. This is Takada, more business minded, less flirty. Ugh, I so want to get back into Aswan's skin! Screw it, if Cheye doesn't turn up, I'll find another lift home.

PM @ Chrona: What? Party? Dressed like this? Around you guys? Don't take this personal, but there's a lot of people around here and I've got an image to look after, you know. I'll take a rain check on that ride home, nice of you to offer.

"Tsk, your loss..." she says shrugging her shoulders. She frowns again. "Quid pro quo? They don't teach you English, but Latin's no problem? You monks really need to get out of those monasteries more often if you think Latin's still the worlds dominant language!"
She laughs, puts on a happy smile and looks at all of you.
"Anyhow, I'm going to party and really can't be seen doing that with you guys. Don't stay up for me!"
She darts off in the crowd before anyone can respond, her clothing subtly changing shade every step she takes.

She heads to another floor, keeps an eye on the stairs for a while, making sure she's not being followed, then vanishes in the crowd again and emerges near a restroom where she switches to Aswan's look and identity again.
Damned, forgot something! Guess it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Message to Aswan: "Oh, nothing fancy, but I can get changed.  I could certainly stand to take a break to meet you at Dante's."
Half an hour of free drinks later, she's arrived.  She's wearing a dark red cocktail dress, her hair elegantly pinned up away from her bare shoulders.  Strolling into the room, she's a figure of mature grace, and the center of attention where she walks.

"So, tell me all about it." she purrs, somewhat tiredly, as she tosses back a mojito.

Nomad sensed the group was starting to break up. He sent a message to Gaunt. "Come on then. If you're done, that is. I think my bike and your trunk have an appointment.

When he had said his goodbyes and headed home, he would change, queue up a soykaf, and get comfortable. But he wouldn't sleep. Instead he'd slip into hot sim, and begin the task of locating the park's private Matrix system and carefully probing it for weaknesses. Hopefully he'd have something to show for it by tomorrow's meet.

Eventually he'd grab some sleep, but not tonight. Tonight there was still work to do.

"Null Sheen Nomad, I'll drop you off," waiting outside was a very well maintained Rover 2068, the ram plate on front made it look ready for Safari.
"Now that came in handy during a Terminal riot over in NYC..."

After various drop offs in his Rover, Gaunt sat in his Rigger Cocoon. He was most comfortable here. He willed a .doc to open.
Dear Mr. Johnson,
Good Morning.......
