Good morning Silk. There always has to at least small piece of truth you can prove. And I really would be willing to play an Infernal guitar concert in Dantes...Though...I think I will need much more practice to achieve that honor.

Continuing my practice...
Guitar (3) + Charisma (5) + Inspired (2) (10d6.hits(5)=2)

Oh...Hey, Nomad, celebrating until the morning, dont ya? You look a bit pale

Assensing Nomad: Int(5)+Assensing(3)+Perceptive(2) (10d6.hits(5)=4)
[OOC: I get almost exact diagnosis]

I remove my guitar from my knees, walk to Nomad,
Hey man, that wasnt the case, I suppose...working hard I see.
Please...Look at me, trust me...

I look into his eyes and put tips of my fingers on both his temples:
Now relax for a moment, try not to think on anything
Healing Nomad (5): Spellcasting(5)+ Magic(5): (10d6.hits(5)=0)
Healing Nomad (5) second attempt (10d6.hits(5)=4)
[OOC: Using extra hits to accelerate healing to be permanent = 6 seconds later]
Calm, warm energy sprang from my fingers and melts the pain away. At the beginning, pain is rsisting and you can see I have some hard time. then suddenly...it is gone.
Better to strart a day with clear head, dont you think ;)

Drain from Nomads healing (DV2-2=0) (10d6.hits(5)=3) means no glitch. everything is OK

I get back at my seat, take my guitar and continue practicing:

10d6.hits(5)=6 WOW that seems like a perfect solo, I have tosave it to my account

Greeting the sun with some early morning tai chi in a busted-up Puyallup parking lot, Juicer attracts little more from his neighbors than a couple wisecracks from some passing Chulos. He's paid up for the month's "neighborhood watch" funds, so nothing to worry about.

On the way back up to his apartment to clean up, he fires off a text to Gaunt with a streetcorner location about 20 minutes walking distance and still a bit outside the area of Puyallup that actually sees patrols by the Star. He then works on building a dossier of likely critters and hazards the group will face on the island, listing basic things to do and not do.

A bit before pickup time, he tosses some relatively unstained street clothes on over his form-fitting and PPP armor, topping it off with a lightweight longcoat just in case the sunny weather doesn't last. The Beretta nestles into the "not worth fucking with me" quick-draw holster on his right leg, and the short-barrel Defiance finds a loving home in his lower-back holster just in case some real problem-solving needs to be done.

At the streetcorner, he waits. Let's see what sort of tricks this rigger has up his sleeves.

The bus pulls up unobtrusivly on the street to Juicer's side and idles, doors open.

Juicer chuckles as the massive Conestoga pulls up, and saunters on.

"Looks like were riding in style. Morning kids, hope you weren't up too late.

He brings up the critter dossier and routes it directly from his comm to those of the group, avoiding his msp and public matrix data routing.

"Here are some notes on the cuddlies we might come across. Pay close attention especially to the velociraptor section, those fraggers are no joke."

Truth is so overrated...

Nomad looked like he'd had a pretty rough night when he entered the bus. She'd wanted to speak to him in private, but that could wait until he felt better.
She watched as LochKid worked his magic on him, she could see why they'd become friends. Always good to have friends with that kind of power... maybe she should
try to forgive him for him his arrogant introduction and condescendence, he probably meant well and had just wanted to be careful.

A couple of minutes later, she got up and walked over to Nomad and smiled at him faintly, she seemed a bit ill at ease. "Hey, you mind if I sit next to you for a while? You looked pretty bad when you got on, you sure you're OK? Want me to get you something?"

Nomad closed his eyes, wincing slightly as the energy began to flow from LK's fingertips to his brain, then relaxed, breathing deeply as the magic worked its way into his neurons. As the spell faded, he sat up, his headache gone completely. "Thanks man. I owe you one." he said, before settling into his seat, listening as his friend ripped out one hell of a solo.

A few minutes later he stirred, opening his eyes.

"Hmm? Oh, go ahead. No problem. I'm fine, just getting over a little Fading. Threading is an intensive task, it places a lot of stress on the brain. If you push yourself, there are... Complications. Stuff like seizures, microstrokes... Plus I usually don't do it while tired and hung over... No, I don't think I need anything. LochKid's seen to that.

But enough about me. How was your night?"

"Yeah, that was nice of him... My night? Oh, real ladies never kiss and tell, Nomad", Silk replies with a heavily overacted haughty voice.
Not for free, anyways.
"Tiring, exhaustive even, but in a much better way than yours must've been..." she added with a playful grin, then winked and followed "You should try it some time."

She talked to Nomad in a light manner about the server he hacked and the options that made available to them, then sighed deeply.
The look on her face suddenly became clouded and turned into one of regret and compassion. She speaks with a soft voice.
"I... I'm sorry... for what I said last night... you know... when I learned what y... Shit I mean who... No. When I found out you were a technomancer."
The way she stumbles over her words and apologies almost makes you doubt this is the same woman you saw negotiating with the Johnson last night.
"I mean, I didn't mean what I said... well I did mean it, but I really... Ah!"
She closes her eyes, and her mouth, for a second and gathers her thoughts. When she opens her eyes again, there's compassion in them deep as the ocean.
"What I mean is, I didn't want to sound like I probably did and I'm sorry if I offended you. I really am sorry for all the horrors you must've suffered and relieved that all the things you, and all the others like you, must've been through are finally over and that you can live the lives you deserve. I know you probably don't believe that someone like me can possibly understand what you've been through... but I think I can, for a part anyway... we've all got our ghosts."
She pauses for a few seconds as if she can't see you, her eyes dreamlike, staring in front of her. When she snaps out of it, a sad smile crosses her lips as she moves a hand towards Nomad's face, then stops herself and puts it back in her lap.
"If you ever, you know, want to talk or something, grab a beer, I don't know... let me know, okay?"

The info from Juicer and Gaunt had arrived on PAN. In the blink of an eye, her face straightens, her eyes focus, her voice loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Gaunt, Nomad. Think you can crash, hack or jump biodrones? Juicer, you happen to know if drugs have any effects on them? Like tranquilizers?

"I can't personally hack them  but if I had real access codes or Nomad hacked me an Admin accout I could take control, maybe even jump in."

Nomad chuckled at Silk's explanation of her... whereabouts. If that was an offer... They discussed the server, going over it's capabilities and what info he needed to forge their passes. After a couple minutes, though, their conversation turned serious, and as Nomad listened his expression seemed to become... Old? Tired? It was hard to tell. "Listen, I know you never meant any harm when you said that. It just... brought up some memories I'd rather leave buried..." he said.

Then, however, he received the data Gaunt and Juicer had prepared. "Well, I'm really not much use jumped into anything. I can say this, though: any biodrones are likely to be slaved to a central system. You wanna take control of them, you have to first subvert that system, then subvert any ICE or firewalls in their onboard equipment. And if there's a spider in the system he needs to be dealt with too. What I think we should do is let me subvert the system and allow Gaunt in so he can hijack the dinodrones." Or if we can't find access codes, Black Hammer works too...

She smiled, finally something that might be good news. Of course the system'd have heavy security, but Nomad seemed confident.
"Oh, almost forgot, the ticket system. Can we get a list of VIP's invited, even if only a few? Might be useful being able to drop some names. And how certain can you be that this hacked account will last for 2 weeks, to erase our tracks when we get out of there? If the leak gets detected and traced to you while we're there..."

"Well, I doubt we have anything to worry about. As long as we don't get caught in the act, I can edit the logs to keep our account's record clean. Other than that, I'll have no problems as long as I get the info to put in our ticket profiles.

Juicer smirks grimly at Silk.

"Tranqs? Sure, you can tranq anything. The question is how high a dosage is going to be necessary. I have some trauma-grade slap patches that I've used to gentle up critters that got too frisky before, but I'm not sure how I feel about playing cuddly-face with a raptor just to slap some tranq patches on it.

I suppose we could try to get some dart guns, but I'd rather just inject Mr. Chompytooth with a dose of high-velocity caseless sabot if it becomes necessary. It's guaranteed effective."

"Not in my skillset, but maybe an option for someone else. My rifles can be as quiet as they need to be. Could pick up some specialized capsule rounds if we're that concerned about tranq'ing rather than geeking a lizard."
