From Forbidden Arcana:

THE NULL WIZARD
The null wizard is an odd manifestation of magic. These Awakened, if you call them that, cannot
actually create anything magical. They are, however, talented in disrupting or redirecting magic.
How some individuals have Awakened this way
is a mystery, though one theory suggests that the
metahuman condition as a whole subconsciously perceives magical threats, and some manifest
this awareness as null wizards.
• Cannot use any of the following skills: Alchemy, Artificing, Binding, Ritual Spellcasting, or Spellcasting.
• Cannot astrally project.
• Gains Reflection metamagic for free (p.151,
Street Grimoire).
• Gains Spell Resistance quality for free

Does a Null Wizard require a magic rating, or are they unable to have a magic rating?
Chummer adds it on as a quality not as a priority option and Spell resistance states that you can't have a magic rating with the quality.  And reflection uses the magic rating to calculate its effect.  Would I have to make a mage of some sort and then apply Null Wizard after the fact, or just go with "Aware"?

You might want to check with your GM before picking stuff from this book. Most tables ban forbidden arcana.

Null wizards are still awakened, not mundane. They still have the ability to use astral perception and assensing. They can still take part in astral combat and they can still use summon to conjure spirits. They can also use spell defense and dispelling (counterspelling) and disenchanting.

If their magic rating drop to zero then they can not do any of the above.

If their max magic rating reach zero then they will become mundane.

There is a *Magic* Resistance quality at p. 76 of SR5 core book
(Or are we talking about the adept power named *Spell* Resistance?)

Null wizards seem to be the exception to the rule that you cannot have magic rating to take the Magic Resistance quality. Null wizards is also seem to be the exception to the rule that you need to have Shielding metamatic before you are eligible for Reflection metamagic.

See, This is my issue. I can not find the "Spell Resistance" QUALITY. i can find the Magic Resistance quality. And I can find the Spell Resistance Adept Power.

The Magic Resistance Quality specifically calls out you can't be awakened and take the Quality...

So either Null Mage specifically allows you to take Magic Resistance (And accidentally called it Spell Resistance), Or it somehow allows a MAGE to now use ADEPT powers (the Spell Resistance Adept Power) Without specifically saying so by confusing and Adept Power for a Quality....
OR, There is a Spell Resistance  QUALITY out there somewhere, or supposed to be, that the Null Mage references...

But I do agree with Xenon... There is a lot of stuff in FA that is more Plot and GM Fodder then things for a Player to use straight out of the book...
