There's a good number of things that affect your Damage Resistance tests (like having one of the Fatigued statuses), but I don't see anywhere in the book where it actually defines what a Damage Resistance test is.
Based on the little blurb on page 8 about "armor not being added to Damage Resistance tests, it's only body", I'm guessing that means that (what I know as) a Soak roll is "officially" know as a Damage Resistance test...
Is that correct?
