Hey here!

I'm new on this forum and I'm trying to redact a comprehensive list of corporations in Sixth World for my campaign (yep, it's maybe too ambitious). I would know if somebody has done this here or elsewhere, and if possible, with minimal sources. Wikis dont always seem reliable to me and sources are lacking.

Anyway, I was searching to understand PCC's status, because it is designated as an AA by some on Internet, but it's also vigorously contested - because no nation can be a megacorp'. I would tend to say PCC is an AA-megacorp, but I did not find any sources to confirm this idea.

I also wonder if the status (A or AA) of Phoenix Biotechnologies is explicitly stated somewhere.

Similar question: Singapore has given up his statehood to become a fully corporation?

Thanks for answers!

Wikis are going to be your best bet, as nothing objective has ever been published.  The only definitive list we have is who all the AAAs are.  After that, AAs and As are introduced as writers see fit/need for stories/sourcebooks.  The various setting sourcebooks pretty much all list various double and single A corps that are players in those respective areas.

As for municipalities being corporations in of themselves: it's pretty common in the Sixth World.  In north america alone, you have Pueblo and Aztlan as being entire nations that either are or are owned by corporations.  New York City government is itself a corporation.  I'm sure there are many, many more examples.

As for info about the PCC's organization/status.. the primary document is the 1e sourcebook Native American Nations Volume 1.  Long out of print... but in the magic of the 21st century I'm sure you can get a digital copy easily enough.

(yep! right here!)

RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

Singapore incorporated itself in 2031. There's some info about it in SR3 Shadows of Asia (p.170).

Thanks for the ref, exactly what I'm looking for.

Yep, I understood what I tend to call "unreliable" is rather "ambiguous", especially when you speak in old books (especially 2nd and 3rd edition) of corporate ratings. :'(
