Oh, and Jim Butcher is a bastard.

I can't wait until "Ghost Story" comes out, and will be forced to buy it in hardcover.

Let me guess...read Changes recently did ya? Yeah, felt the same way. The past, what four books have been a giant build up to the volcanic erruption of awsomene that was Changes. Part of me wondered if that would have been it for Mr. Dresden. Glad I was wrong.
Why in the frag did they put ME in charge?

Read Changes awhile ago.

Made the mistake of reading the first chapter of "Ghost Story" that you can find online.

Like giving a dehydrated man in the desert only a few drops of water then walking away with the bottle.

Newbie to Dresden File's.  Picked up game after getting a peek a in it.  Very well done the game.  Working my way through the novels in past couple of months.  Just finished White Knight.  I've become a fan.

I've flipped through the RPG and found it hilarious, especially considering it's just a "Beat up spiral-bound book that looks like it's been dropped in a puddle".  Written by a Werewolf Nerd, a smartass Wizard that gets hit in the head (A lot), and a Talking Skull.

Just finished reading H Beam Piper's Space Viking.  Pretty cool, and it's kinda the 'future feudalism' theme I really like.

And oddly enough, I enjoy reading Let's Plays, possibly more than I enjoy playing the games.

Read that a long time a go.  It is a pretty good book.  Where did you pick it up if you do not mind me asking?  Another great Piper book is Junkyard Planet also known as the Cosmic Computer.  If you can find a copy you might want to check it out.

Just finished Eisenhorn of the Warhammer 40k novels.

Trying to decide between a Warhammer Fantasy novel; Witch Hunter, or getting on the Ice and Fire wagon and either rereading Game of Thrones or starting Clash of Kings!

Currently I'm plowing through Neuromancer. Yeah I know, but it sounded interesting. It is odd seeing familiar terminology from Shadowrun before Shadowrun was conceived.
Look past the lies, and all the scary stuff that remains is the truth.

William Gibson was the man who single-handedly invented the Cyberpunk genre, and since Shadowrun "borrowed" a lot of his stuff of course his work will seem familiar to us SR-gamers. *grin*

I try to get some input from Richard Morgan (Altered Carbon) and Jeff Noon (Vurt) for other kinds of cyberpunkyness.

Well, at least there was none of "Hey, this Gibson guy ripped of Shadowrun/Cyberpunk 2020!".

I've heard that more than once over the years.  I just sigh and go, "Look at the copyright dates".  Of course, that would take effort and reading.   >:(

If you all want to read an interesting C-punk book try Hardwired by Walter Jon Williams.  Also when Gravity Fails by George Alec Effinger is also pretty cool.

Just sat down and read all of 100 Bullets, pretty much start to finish, last week.  I have to say that everyone who was suggesting it to me was spot on, it very much is (a) right up my alley, and (b) awesome.
