I'm still waiting for a motion picture version of SR4A.

Reading today is like dowsing 100 years ago, a practice on its way to obscurity.

So not true.  :)

I'm currently reading...
Democracy in America Part I by Alexis de Tocqueville
The Bible by various authors
The Destroyer Series by Warren Murphy and Richard Sapir

It's just a matter of time before we're all gargoyled and can just jack in and get the data directly, skipping over the clumsy process of assembling symbols into data into information.

Also, just busting your collective balls.  I'm well read... Atlas Shrugged really turned me off to books though.  Haven't picked one up (other than a rulebook) since tackling that 1300 page juggernaut.

Might not be the size, might be because it was a horribly written piece of dross masquerading as deep thought  8)

i am reading this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallen_Angels_(science_fiction_novel)
That book sounds pretty intense... (for whatever reason your link isn't integrating the last parenthesis making it almost correct)

I read it years ago.  Made me look after a list of other books as well, which were referenced therein.

Still can't find the Travis McGee books.  :(

Canadian Customs has major issues with stuff from the USA on occasion for some strange reason.  Stuff gets held up from there all the time.  Books, clothing, legitimate DVD movies, you name it...

Kukris from Nepal from the swordsmith that makes them for the Gurkhas, on the other hand, are able to be supplied to my FLGS/Army Surplus Store/Store of Awesome with no issues whatsoever.

That is weird.  Maybe the Kukris get through so easily because they are considered cultural items:-)
