Topping off on anti-nanite nanites is always a good idea.  If you are at the pay grade where you can expect that to happen, you can afford to throw some money at the problem.

But then, like I said earlier, the disadvantages of going autistic outweigh the benefits, IMO.

And if you already suffer from AIPS, well, who cares?  :P

Ok, so for the very security conscious gunbunny who favors protecting their hide over keeping up with spam, what do you have to do beyond this?

1  Have a streetdoc remove every RFID from all of your ware,(and everythign else you own) or install fake RFID' saying your ware is something else.
2. Turn off all Cyberware wireless capability through your DNI. Turn it back on when you visit the doc.
3. Skinlink / datajack your Guns, goggles, or any other gear you send or recieve input from on your person, down to your medkit.

Keep your Commlink off unless  necessary, stay hidden otherwise.  Use 'dumb' microtranscievers, or other simple transmitters/recievers that can't accept  non manual input commands, and encrypt those transmissions as high as you can.

If you must go out in a higher security public area, have a seperate cheap Comlink for any Fake Sins you may have, and turn off your 'working' Commlink.  Maybe keep a wi/fi proof box of RFID tags with signatures for normal clothing/items you can open out in public, (placing in appropriate areas if need be) to look like Mr. average Citizen, then seal up and seal off the RFID's when out of the high security area.

Anything esle to do?

Another option for your gunbunny is to DNI the weapons that s/he is carrying.  Slaving everything to a screaming hot 'link with massive encryption and bleeding edge firewall and IC through a DNI will help to not only reduce your electronic signature, but also creates a very strong choke point that the enemy hacker has to spend a lot of precious, precious time accessing.

There's ways to turn on wireless by force. Better not to have it at all except for your commlink. Buy gear with no wireless capacity or remove it entirely, and hardwire everything.

Your street doc can damn well plug in his diagnostic tools, instead of relying on wireless, like he used to do. He probably has gear for that given he works on paranoid shadowrunners.

I don't think you can force 'wireless' to turn on, unless you physically overpower the person, and somehow force them to turn it on, or manually turn it on, unless there was a  device with enabled wireless physically connected to the other deice with deactivated wireless.

It can be done with physical contact and hacking, but that presents a significant number of problems.  Not the least of which is the street sam you want to hack killing everyone.  That's a big drawback.

There's nanites that force wireless to turn on. Walk into an aerosol mist of the stuff, and suddenly you can get hacked nine ways to Sunday.

Blue goo fixes that.  Like I said earlier, top it off to keep those pesky hackers out!

Yeah, there is that, but then you have an arms race of "who's got the better ratings".

No wireless at all means you win that race automatically.

My "grumpy old man" merc doesn't even trust skinlink. Under his armor he's got a body harness wired with armored optical cable for his PAN.

Ah, ok. I've sort of just decided to ignore the existance of nanites for my current campaign, but I guess I should grow at least conversant with them.

It's always an arms race.  Who has the best advantage this time?  Is it the Evil CorpTM, or our heroic shadowrunners!  Stay tuned!

If they've skinlinked everything and all you need is physical contact to hack them you could always use a drone.  Rig one up for stealth/gecko, have it crawl up to them (through a vent, across a ceiling, etc), then have it drop a gecko-ed up skinlinked commlink onto them.  Or you could just throw the damn commlink at them.

I wonder what it would take to shoot a length of fiberoptic cable into someone's datajack.  That would be bitchtastically difficult, yet now I want to try it.

Evil CorpTM.  They have a better R&D Department.

On the bright side, if they have to go to that extreme just to attempt to infiltrate your security, your protective measures have been effective.
