couple of questions. Can I still keep line of sight on a subject that I'm making invisible, while under the concealment of a spirit? Could I observe the subject from astral space to keep him or her in my line of sight?

I may be wrong, but last time I played a magician, I needn't maintain line of sight with a subject of invisible spell to sustain it. I just needed it to be at line of sight to cast, and then the invisible one could walk away and stay hidden from mortal eyes as long as the mage mantains the spell.

I'm not with the book right now. Will check when possible.

Do they allow me to get away easily or do they follow?

You got away easily. He wasn't following.

Calico, is still on her way to the tank while you got away.

Sorry for a small delay ;)

Point me to the reference when you find it. I am not the strongest in the rules.

Summoning a force 2 sprirt of man to conceal calico at her observation point. (8d6.hits(5)=3)

You have a summoning focus with force 2
Guys, tell me if it need to be specific kind of focus or is it general one.

For now you have another two dices to roll on summoning

after that you roll spirit resistance - since it is force 2 spirit you roll two dices - I've rolled it for you already
2d6.hits(5)=0

this means you have a spirit with 3 task left (or more if you roll anything with that 2 dices)

now this also means that you have 0*2 drain to resist (minimum 2)
but you also have 8 dices on resist so you can just buy those 2 hits.

this means you have no damage after the summoning and you have a force2 spirit of man at your disposal
Sorry for a small delay ;)

This time, I had no need for the book.
From the Shadowrun 4th Edition FAQ on this same site where we are all congregating.

Quote
Do you need to maintain line of sight (or touch, with Touch range spells) to sustain a spell? What about Permanent spells?

A spell requires a magical link (touch, sight, material link, symbolic link, etc.) to cast. There is, however, no requirement for the magician to maintain touch or line-of-sight while maintaining the spell, as the link between caster and spell is already in effect. By the same principle, you do not need to maintain touch or line of sight when casting a Permanent spell; the spell must simply be maintained until the spell’s effects become permanent.

So, our magician has no need to mantain line-of-sight for his Improved Invisibility spell to continue work.

Count me on to help on rules. When I can. I'm not a true connoisseur, but I've played with almost all kinds of characters and may remember where to find the hard bits of mechanic.

So guys. What do you do? You have lots of info. Calico on top of the soy oil tank. How do you want to disrupt their operation?
Mind you, that it will probably take more then one action to take them out of business a night and four days left.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

I assume that I had that outgoing call to PuebSec also monitored. If not, we will work on this later with Fractal and cursor.

@Cummers, Im thinking about this:
"This is Skinny, Cyclops security, RMD facility. We have a hostage situation here. Unknown number attackers enter the facility 10 minutes ago, they are herding employes in the ???enter place??? " Ive managed to stay in cover but Im not sure how long it will take before they found me. Please, send negotiators and cavalry. we need you help ASAP ...."

I think we can start with the
1. Hacking of their node, messing their assembly lines control protocols. Timing the attack randomely in the week timeframe.
2. We need to identifying their logistic, disrupt transports of selected parts. Identifying would be possible with visual we already have, we had almost 6 hours stream from the SpyEye, Calico would get additional info
3. Messing with their inner logistic, creating chaoss in their parts localization records...this may be done with entering the facility physicaly, looting some goodies ... and those blueprints :)
4. Random guard allerts, jamming etc.
5.The message Ive proposed before in the final phase...

I like that. But I think we need to do an infiltration for the first strike, as it will be the one that has the least amount of active security. I think that we need to go in and find info. Steal some loot and arrange for an accident.

I think that one precise attack with no work beforhand so thei are at the lowest preparation level.
Restricting their coms and picking them off(stun) one/two at once stealthy if possible, getting a lot of stuff, blowing up their manufacturing capabilities.

Few ideas

masquerading as Security firm people to get inside without taking much attention, while cutting of communication.

I can blow up whatever is needed

Have a few neuro-stunt grenades, could try to take them out with them, but I am a terrible throw, so i would have to get close.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best and expect nothing!

Just some considerations: Once we break in, they will probably change all security protocols, crash and restart all nodes, etc. They will be more prepared; So, the first one is the one in which we need to break them good; the next actions could help messing with them, but the first one is the charm. We may even plant evidences in our first breaking that can lead to people inside (we may create a false group of saboteurs of the employees that we can assess data); this way, RMD will have a lot to occupy themselves and our chances that their production will stop will raise a little.

I liked the ideas, but I really think the first one is the deal.

We should also plant some small drones like the Micro-Tapper Bug on the inside during the first break in to assist with further operations. On don't remember how much they cost but it can't be two much.

Good, good, good. I agree the first one has to be the main one. Don't forget that I have the improved invis. and can conjure some spirits to help us conceal ourselves while in the plant. Need to make sure to hit offices and main manufacturing line.

If you need me for anything I am listening. It is closing to midnight. You're some 15 minutes away from the facility.
The drone will need some refuelling soon. You haven't seen any incoming or outcoming transport yet.

If you want to fast forward just let me know.
