May I try a hack on the fly action on his Commlink? If I go full VR in hot sim, maybe I can get a message to the his bodyguards in time, so that they also "step out of scene silently"...

So should i not come out of stealth?
will Netz lure them in the room or send them away?
would be nice to know for the IC

I'll drop into full VR, hot sim, to hack his commlink on the fly. I'm trying for an user account (to send a message I wouldn't need more than this).

6 (Hacking [exploit]) + 6 (Exploit) + 2 (VR) = Pool of 14 dice, against commlink Firewall.

Hacking on the fly attempt = 14 dice = 4 hits, no glitch

Hope his firewall is 4-, if so, I'm in.

Also, his commlink system has a chance to find me (Firewall + Analyze test against my Stealth, which is 6).

I would not come out of stealth just yet. We can give all sort of explanation for Erik being with his face on the ground. He could have just tripped.
About the luring or sending them away, what do you think would be best? Even if I send them away, it would be for us to get them at the parking lot. The way I see it, the best approach is to lure them and incapacitate them in the private room; a silent takedown is still our best friend.

not sure i can take them both in one go, would need some help, from fractal or Omar or Cat or anyone who could take someone out silently.

My Dice luck is terrible so far, if I had some decent rolls i should be able to get them down on surprise, at least one, edge is the last resort.

Don't worry, Fractal is not a terrific shooter, but he can aim his taser. Of course, if one of our fighters feel like stepping in, the better...

Kouryuu, hope you don't mind, but I'll do a little tweaking in my IC post about hacking and sending a message (if I succeeded in hacking) in relation to Fractal's actions in your post. Yours will still be accurate, but from a certain perspective.

No prob. tweaking my IC as well, they are not made out of stone or diamond for that matter.

He had FW higher than that 4 (5 actually).
You'll make it on the second IP buying hits.

The node had a sculpture similar to used by Renraku Ichi OS, but it has certainly been upgraded and branded with RMD logo.

The node analyzing attempts Firewall(5) + Analyze(5).
10d6.hits(5)=3, 10d6.hits(5)=6

restricted alert issued...

within you find an icon similar to the one found in the RMD node - an electric utility linemen - one that you recognize as RMD/CSS hackers operating the assembly node.

make an matrix initiative roll.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

By the way. After experiencing some combat in the other game (Chicago) - I've came to conclusion that combat done there was much more fun if you could decide each IP specifically after resolving the previous one.
So a little change in the rules. You declare next IP in each type of combat, and you can make a 'split second changes' that I used to hate so much :)

Security Hacker initiative:
Response (5) + Intuition (3) + 1 = 8 + 8d6.hits(5)=4 => 12

One more thing you should remember:

Quote
Erik's car parked his Eurocar Westwind 3K before the club. Fast scan revealed passive car node and passive commlink node. There are lots of other nodes around, so Omar made sure to tag them so they wouldn't be lost in the crowd. From previous experience seeing the radios on the shoulders of each guard you understand they're using plain radio frequencies for communication, without matrix connection.

There was only one commlink around.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Oh, that's really an ill turn of events for Fractal. He is no combatant, and specially not a virtual fighter.

Here's his initiative: 6 (Response) + 4 (Intuition) + 1 = 11; but, as it my first initiative test in this combat, I only use half of it (Combat paralysis) = 6

6d6 = 1 hit, no glitch
Initiative for the first combat round = 6 + 1 =  7

Guess I will need to hope to sustain some punishment...

If Fractal receive an attack (or is not attacked at all) from any source other  than an ICE program, he will just log off. If attacked by an ICE Program, he will try crashing the program (or spoofing it if it's a limited version). As a last resort, he can always try to crash the node

Attack roll: 7d6.hits(5)=2
Defense using Response + Firewall or Response + Firewall + Hacking if full defense (using up complex action)
