Using a different voice (still one that would not be very difficult to imagine coming out of his own larynx), mixing a very soft Cantonese accent and talking a calm, soft but firm speech, Fractal calls Erik Fjordson, office number, as presented in the manager Curriculum Vitae.

"I'd like to talk to Mr. Fjordson. He would also like to hear from me."

I dont know if you are able to shit without double checking the toilet. Hours of talking, no work done...thats deffinitely not what we are paid for. If we keep looking for safer way to commit the crime, we may end up with the soulution that the best is to stay away from this dangerous world and put a bullet throught our heads. If you want to avoid any risk, youve chosen wrong job.
You seem like you know what you are doing, so Ill wait for now.
If anything is fucked up, Ill do things my way. That means by violence, crime, kidnapping and threating people, breaking in and stealing valuables, destroying equipement and material...and trying to not get killed or busted in the process.

We still have a lot of time, we just want to make sure we use our cards well.

And if all goes down not to our favour, i will stand by your side, just humour our plan one more day, we have him and it took just 1 days to make it.  ;D

A friendly woman voice greeted you with a young nice looking blonde on visual. Good day sir, can I ask your name and business?
Sorry for a small delay ;)

The visual display sent by Fractal was not his face, but an still image of a featureless man in a suit, probably an icon used by people who are too shy or don't want others to scrutinize their appearance.
"Yes, ma'am, you may address me by the name Johnathan Cathay. I'm a former associate of Mr. Fjordson, but it's possible that time took his remembrance of me. Anyway, I have some personal issues to deal with him, and he will be interested in hearing from me. Could you call him, please?"

Omar shrugs, stands up, spits out and walks away from the rest of the team, cursing all the time in some exotic language none of other realizes...wel the diction is unmisstakable. He jumps into his van, Jumps In, starts the engine and rides away.

I`ll take some air and check out Ericsons adress and possible approaches. Call me when you are finished with this...or when the seller calls about that morphing licence plate.

With screaming tires, he is away in a second...

He toke his ride to the adress, parking a block away, takeing the walk around the house, scanning for nodes etc.

Please wait ... lady made some background checks on the line, lie detectors, checked the boss availability ... all that time Fractal manages to pass the time pleasantly with a small talk, melting the ice.

Finally she connected you through ... Fjordson speaking ...
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Hey Wait a moment, i could be of use there too.

Omar did not even react on those words and went straight out, few minutes later they heard his car leaving rather loudly.

Looks like he wants some alone time, fair enough.

He toke his ride to the adress, parking a block away, takeing the walk around the house, scanning for nodes etc.

A picturesque view of the street. Small houses. The nodes on the address were hidden. Standard sculpture. Small spam activity. Kids and domestic drones a plenty. Good cars on the streets.

On the minus side. PuebSec patrols every 15 minutes or more often. Several autonomous bots on patrol scanning every PAN. Going around on hidden mode atracted attention immediatelly, and you had to hit the acceleration and disappear to avoid detailed questioning.

Before you leave you managed to spot a 35+ woman coming out from the house.

Finally she connected you through ... Fjordson speaking ...

The anonymous icon shifts, and begins to show a shadowed logo similar to Nissan's.
Fractal voice carries the same tune as before, but becomes a lot more assertive.

"Mr. Fjordson, I'm afraid you don't know me yet, but I may assure you we both could enjoy benefits of a friendship. You may call me Johnathan Cathay, I'm with Nissan, even if you may not find this name in the company payroll: we work a more subtle and dynamic type of contract. My associates have your name in high regards, even though negotiations with the Bow Mar facility have been... a little under our expectations."

A sigh followed the last word, a sigh that clearly shows it's not the best time to interrupt, and then the monologue continues:

"As I said, we value you as a friend, and would want to continue doing so. Friends could treat each other in personal ways, so it would be appreciated if you does not record or comment on this conversation with anyone else. My associates want us to meet to try a gentleman's agreement. Something that may help your facility becomes valuable once more (and we both know that this could help us both) and also make our expectations on these negotiations more reachable. If you're are interested in discussing this matter, we could dine today."

Fractal ends his monologue and waits for an answer. He really likes impersonating a powerful individual, but the concern of maybe not being able to back his talk is annoying.

When leaving the secured area, Omar sends the recorded stream to the team with the comment:
High profile area, unfit for low scale operation we want to do. Id say lets use soc-fu or take him by the road in case soc-fu fails... Ill go check suitable areas on the road...oh, btw. there are more transports in the facility...we may choose the best one.

The visual shows man with a datajack in his temple, close-cropped blonde hair and a fair Nordic complexion similar to the photos you've seen from the previous datasearches. I am inclined to hang you off Mr. Cathay. I don't know you, neither I have no idea what kind of associates you have in mind and I have enough friends. I am also extremely irritated by that visual turned off and the flawed logo you're using instead. This kind of calls usually lead to tries of selling me something I am not interested in, and I am far too busy to entertain you.

Make another Con roll please.
the modifiers are as follow:
-1 Eric is an obvious figure of authority here, very no nonsense man
-1 he would be annoyed to meet you
-2 Eric is prejudiced toward unknown source calls

Eric roll Negotiations(2) + Charisma(4) -> 6d6.hits(5)=1

Target is 3.

"I wouldn't advice you to start our talk with this posture, Mr. Fjordson. I'm talking to you in your own benefit, but I have no need to continue doing so, also. You sell me poorly insinuating I'm a calling vendor - you are not at an instance to hurt my pride yet, but it's something that you shouldn't do. You may be uncomfortable for the visual being turned off, but that's something that my job requires.  I'm well aware about Bow Mar facility financial and productivity situation, and you can benefit from our help. Of course, you have the option to hang off now, but, as far as I know, it would not be a very sensible thing to do. I'm sure you're a busy man; that's why I'm still talking to you. You may do it, at your own risk."

Strangely, "Cathay" voice's even more polite this time... Fractal knows some people would find it enervating, but from what he could perceive of Erik's tone, he was hoping he would just be confounded by his tone.

All and all, Fractal was already happy with the endeavor: he could not just listen to the man voice, but taste a little of his speech pattern form a position of superiority, and knowing how he treats someone when irritated was gold.

The discussion lasted for several minutes as the battle of management wills continued. In the end however the place and time were agreed. 8:00 PM at Nocturnal.
Sam arranged table. Your supplies (laes among that most importantly) have arrived slightly before the time.

All of you positioned themselves around the place. Calico, Riker and Cursor at the table inside. Omar in the van outside. Sam and Fractal inside in the small private room.

About 19:30 drone reported that Fjordson car left the facility. Heading straight for the bar. Erik came assisted by two CSS guards.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Fractal looks again at his attire. Clothes well-lined, his glasses perfectly adjusted, the hat shadowing his upper face. An ARO icon in the periphery of his field of vision was guaranteeing him that his Sturm, his particular Defiance Shocker EX taser pistol, was filled with four charged darts. All seemed in place.

The bar was a nice one, after all, and being naturally dark-lit was a plus.

"So people, is there anything to report? Remember, I will try not to send messages during the meeting, as I want to focus on the conversation and also to lower the chances that some of his bodyguards could snoop our encrypted channel. But stay sharp; we can't let anything go wrong in this operation."
