Has any one tried this yet? A mage who cast spells and uses magic through dancing. Every spell corrosponds with a specific dance move and/or moves. Maybe its just me, but i thought it would be funny as hell to have a char that is dancing his ass off while the rest of the group is shooting and fighting. Rules wise he would cast spells the same as any other magician, but he would be shaking his booty while doing so. Maybe add in some new spells, like Infectious Groove; all targets in sight of Dancemancer, must make Will save to resist joining the dance. The idea of some uptight mage doin the Huslte during a fire fight just makes me laugh.

For some reason I picture the three storm guys in Big Trouble in Little China, especially when they are doing their wedding ceremony stuff and pre-alley brawl show off moves.

I picture some dance dance revolution little anime icons.  I would handle it as a Gaes.  What would that tradition look like?  I would say some kind of Urban Shaman because those moves have to be to a techno-beat.  Part of the Gaes should be that his commlink has gotta be blasting some techno.  That would be freakin awesome.  I would fall in love with a character who had the balls to pull this one off.

And whats better than one Dancemancer? Two Dancemancers having a Dance-Magic-Dance duel. This makes me laugh just thinking sbout it. Even better when the Dancemancers try to convince the rest of the magic world that Dancemancy is a serious form of Magic. Lol. Adds more meaning to the term, "You Just Got Served!"

This is actually a very simple option mechanically.

Give the mage the Metamagic technique of Centering (Gesture) and make their gesture requirement a dance-oriented move.

This means that:
A) The mage isn't completely useless when NOT dancing
B) Mage is much more effective when they ARE dancing.

In old versions, the Centering metamagic actually required a separate active skill (such as Dance, Keyboard, Latin etc), so this metamagic might fit your thematics quite well :)
