Can the stats for the Hardliner Gloves be used for other fist type weapons? Like brass knuckles for instance? Can you just switch out the description and keep the stats? Because, honestly, the Hardliner Gloves are pretty lame. And whats the word on Power Fists? Or Chain Fists, ala Warhammer 40k. I know you could get cyberware, but not everyone wants to lose essence.

Hardliner gloves have the advantage of being fairly subtle.  They look like heavy gloves, perfect for a lot of circumstances, and probably wouldn't interfere with the operation of a firearm, unlike Brass Knuckles, which you'd have to swap out in order to handle anything else.

Up close, they'd be obviously weird looking and attract attention, but at any kind of distance, they'd just be heavy gloves that could be worn for a lot of reasons in a lot of different places.

Also, if you buy the right type, they also keep your hands warm.  Always a good thing.  But, then again, I'm Canadian, so that WOULD come to mind for me.  :P

I don't see any issue whatsoever with the same stats being used for brass knuckles (in fact, I've been using Hardliner stats for knuckle-dusters since Cannon Companion came out).

Power fists and chainfists, though?  Those are a bit beyond the tech-level of Shadowrun, at this point.  Remember a power fist is wrapped in a disruptor field and is powered by strength-enhancing servomotors and is still a pretty fantastic, powerful, and rare piece of wargear in the 41st Millennium...and that chainfists are everything power fists are, traditionally, but better.  I'd say both of them are well beyond the reach of 2073.

the power fist from the fallout games doesn't seem too out of reach. just a basic set of pneumatics with a sensor attached. you could even begin modifying it to suit what your fighting. the design itself is practically begging for a taser upgrade, much less memory metals that become spikes or a blade.

Just the thing to add to that suit of power armor that Attitude just released...

Can a Hardliner Glove be applied to a Prehensile tail, or Thagomizer? How about a Shock Glove?

a Thagomizer probably not, that's already a weapon. But a Prehensile I would allow

CP 2020's Chromebook series had a cyberarm option called Chainrip; a chainsaw extending out from the forearm. Even had a pull-cord started gas motor... y'know, for the extra intimidation factor.  ;D

Also had another cyberarm bit that replaced the entire hand/forearm with what was essentially a lightning gun.

Oh, there are upgraded versions of the ol' Power Fist in New Vegas.  Including one that seems to incorporate a pair of 20-gauge shotgun barrels.
