@slip> I want to brush up on working with my hands. It has been quite a while. More of the softer styles (aiko, escrima or similar)

@Oliver> "I see. My art of choice is Krav maga, and I know it very well. I'll teach you if you want, but you'll have to work around my work schedule. The training will be more demanding than what you might have previously learned though. So tell me, What level of skill are you looking for?"

@slip> My work for the last several years was more mental than physical. Competent would be nice. Like anything else, in time I would like to master it.

@slip>  I am sure we can work something out. I pretty close to getting a source for real coffee beans. Do you want in? You said that the ares was not of much value. How about I pay you for it and put it somewhere safe. An insurance policy of sorts.

<@Nina> Believe me, I know.
<@Team> Since I have no desire for stray eyes to remember our presence, I would like to buy you all a round of drinks once the club starts to fill. Your choice of beverage, of course. It will be easier for us to blend in if the club thinks I'm a supervisor who is treating his employees to a night out on the town in appreciation of their talents and hard work.

Operator will help himself to a light meal and beverage. (15Ą) Once everyone is here, Operator will buy drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic, runner's choice) for his group when people begin to arrive. p.49, SR4A offers a list of drink ideas and pricing if you choose to take up his offer. :)

@Operator:
a message comes in from Hisoka Yamaguchi, Well, we did not know that you would be surrounded by such people, but we asked for outside help so that is something we will deal with. I hope that all of your party is here currently if not we do not care to wait. Our association with your freinds can not be noticed. Kanaga-San awaits you in back through the restricted access area you may follow me once you get there. Instruct your kawaru that they are not welcome to address Kanaga-San directly. We will conclude our business and you will be allowed to exit out the back. I am sorry friend but you know our ways better than most and Kanaga-San can not be shamed so much by meeting with your friends, he would not survive the shame. as you look twards the back door you see Hisoka disappear inside.

@korbin:
Not long after Operator arrives a man walk through the door that you recognize. He is a Japanese male who during you time on the force was a know member of the Yakuza searching your mind you remember his name Hisoka Yamaguchi, a Kobun for the Shigeda-gumi. You also recall that the Oyabun of that organization, Takeo Shigeda, was assassinated and many of his personel where obsorbed by one of his lieutenants, Sato Kanaga, forming the Kanaga-gumi from the ashes. Word on the street was that Sato was the knife and the Oyabun of the Shotozumi-gumi, the largest Yakuza clan in seattle, sanctioned the whole affair and was the hand behind Sato Kanaga. You discreetly watch him as he enters and looks at your group, as if he expected you to be here. He then looks quickly about the room and after his gaze settles on a small table of japanese gentleman sitting near the closed dance floor, he heads for the "Restrected Access" door in the back of the room. The group at the table do not seem to realize he was there at all as they seemmproccupied with a Holovision Trid they are watching while having quit the good time with themselves.

Quote
@Jace
As you are sitting with the group and monitor the node for suspicious activity you notice several technicians walk intonthe node and up to a mousy looking woman in the corner. She takes out an appointment book and jots something down then the technicians leave. You move over to the woman that you recognize as a appointment keeping program for the private rooms and band bookings for the club. looking at the edit the technicians made you notice that the appointment for the Johnson party was moved to right now.

<@Muzzle> The Johnson's in with the Yakuza. Was he being anonymous? The Yaks have a low opinion of women and metahumans. God help the metahuman women who are in the way..

<@Team> We are about to meet with a man who must be treated with utmost respect. Once we conclude our business, we will be allowed to leave the building through the back exit. I'll do most, if not all, of the talking. I'm not going to back down now.

Slip and Nina, I urge you to speak if and only if Kanaga-san addresses you directly. Jace, Oliver and Nadir, if you are able, do so as well so that we stay in his good graces. Speaking out of turn will be considered a dire offense; we're about to play by their rules. I did not choose the Johnson, and I am sorry if this causes you discomfort; in that we can share common ground.

Once you are ready, minna-san, let us go to the restricted area. I will be in the front of the line.

Operator downs his drink, lightly massaging his temples and forehead with the tips of his fingers. He stared towards the AR displays with an expression that only those seated near him could see. Slip had seen that expression once before, when he realized his delivery of stolen medical supplies was being funneled to the Ork Underground. One glance was enough to know that he was not happy with the arrangements.

Helping out the Underground was something Operator eventually got over, as it was less about politics and more about offering aid to some very needy orks. Being sent to a Yakuza Johnson was a much different situation, especially with metahuman runners.

<@Operator from Muzzle> Yaks? I must not have been thural enough in my scrutiny, the level of anonymity was high. I was contacted by an intermediary I knew but the trail pointed to to a minor corporation, Japanese yes but not Yakuza that I knew of. The corp script I was payed for arranging the meeting was in line with my research. How did you come by this information? Discretion seemed to be a high point on the Johnsons mind. I was told that it was a simple missing person's that needed to be found descreatly was all that this job entailed and the particulars on team makeup was not specified as most Yakuza jobs are. You must beleive me that nothing but the nationality pointed to the Yakuza. Be careful this is see ling more dangerous than first known.

<@Muzzle> I know this information as one of my close associates is a sokaiya practictioner. His language suggested that I am about to meet with his boss, and that my entourage is to exit the building from the rear once our business is completed. He spoke of Kanaga-san and that my kawaru are not welcome to address him directly; that puts me on point in this battle of words, as it were.

If you get any further information about the corp or its shareholders, let me know ASAP. I keep a close eye on corp rumors and security discussions.

Drawing a deep breath, Operator exhaled and exchanged glances with his associates.

<@Operator from Muzzle>well it's the yakuza, but it doesn't make much sinse to me. They didn't want to be known to me at least but they seem to have no compunction to let you know who they are. Thats not to say that the Oyabun of the Kanaga-gumi is meeting in person concerns me greatly. The company will be a dead end, the Yaks typically pay in corpscript to throw of investigations into who they hire. As you know, Sato Kanaga is a cold blooded killer. Keep your head down, I'll make some calls and hopefully not raise suspicions. If he wants something done quietly he will remove anyone that threatens that.
