  Don't forget THE MAP.  B.B.'s flat is less than a kilometer from the Alabaster Maiden, just on the edge of the elven district a block from the Bagley Wright Theater.  The park in question is across the street.

Korbin will make a few calls to the Brotherhood.
1. He is looking in to the security arrangements for Kiku's place. and if they know anyone that works there.
2. Looking into what is known about kiku's past for the police perspective.

After the meeting, Slip will let the others know she's available to to help them if they need it but otherwise will take care of cycling the payment into cred from yak script. She'll will part ways with the team (OOC:unless requested to join someone.) and go back to her apartment. While she and nina ride back to her apartment for her gear, She'll request to be kept in the loop if she finds a detailed plan on how to get in to the building Kiku lived in. Once Nina leaves with her gear, she'll put in a call to Shaker asking for a meet at her place within the next day. Then she'll get take a few minutes to just decompress, the surprise meeting with the yaks was a less than comfortable for her. She'll call Operator in a few hours to leave him an update with what she's gotten done.

(OOC: her plan is to see about getting a source to exchange the corp script in to certified credsticks, and to see if he knows anything about the girl's previous shadow team while allowing the rest of the team to see to their sources for intel. Hopefully the team will get together in the next day and we'll find a starting point to begin the search.)

<@Mike> "He was surprised by the Johnson and the levels of anonymity employed to hide the nature of the task from other prying eyes. All of us [runners] were, so to say."

Operator wasted no time in going from Everett to his Auburn warehouse, just long enough to get a quick shower and to pick up a few additional things from the office/bedroom. He followed the directions on the map, allowing himself a brief smirk. The park wasn't located very far from the Alabaster Maiden, and it appeared that Aztechnology had an office in the vicinity. So that's why it was familiar; the corp everyone loves to hate has nearby office space.

Op is picking up his shock gloves and donning his form fitting body armor at the warehouse, then going to the park near the Bagley Wright Theater. (Minor and Thomas)
Delicious paranoia goes well with shifty Johnsons.

<<@Operator: "Oh, so it's one of those?  And I'm subcontracting in his place?  That's workable.  I'll be the little guy in the navy blue coveralls.">>

Brian didn't bother to look up the guy's SIN.  If he works the shadows, it wouldn't be worth the time.  And if this guy was a Yakuza assassin, there wasn't much to be done but skip town.  A quick call to Jace quelled those fears.  Confident enough of the man's purposes, B.B. went out to meet him armed with nothing more than a falafel sandwich.

Oh no, Op's got helmet hair. Composure test to keep his cleanfreak OCD in check: 7d6.hits(5)=3

Securing his bike at Minor and Thomas, Operator glanced over the mirror and frowned. Helmet hair was an unruly thing, but he wasn't in the mood to waste time with anything more than simple grooming. Palming a small, plastic comb from the pocket of his lined coat, he arranged his hair into a less formal, more relaxed arrangement.

Ah, and just in time too. A little fellow matching Mike's description approached with a sandwich in hand, to whom the Asian man greeted with a brief, reserved smile. "Hoi, chummer. It is a good night for a walk."

"Mmm, yah.  Can't rain all the time." B.B. responded trying to swallow his latest bite of crispy fried deliciousness.  "You wanna head to the theater or just talk and walk?  I got the basic rundown from Jace after we talked, so if you'd prefer to ask me some questions before we do details, I'm fine with that."

Operator smiled briefly, bearing the face of a man who had just weathered some hard work days. "I'm partial to either one, Mike. I have only a few questions to ask; they concern your interests and skills that aren't explicitly married to Matrix security. I also understand that you may have questions for me."

@Nina
The ride in the cab was long but not as long as it could have been if it was earlier in the day. Avoiding rush hour was always a gratifying event. The address given was in Bellevue, and not just some lower class neighborhood near the Barrens but in the heart with a view of the lake and downtown. Her apartment is on the 10th floor of a 40story highrise, you could only imagine the cost of that view. But it is not just the view that amazes you but the location. Under the older Lone Star ratings this would be a AAA neighborhood, complete with matching security. Getting into this apartment would be like cracking fort Knox, doable but only with major planning and good backing.

@Slip
It doesn't take long for your call to go through, but finding a mutual time to meet in the next couple of days seems challenging. After trying to figure it out shaker just asks what you need, and then promptly tells you it would be no problem to swap the script for certified. Especially for you. As far as her old team was concerned Shaker only knew the basics, that she ran, and her old team was killed by the Oyabun of the Shotozumi-Gumi. The gem for you was when he mentioned that he knew her old fexer, and gave you his address in Everret.

@korbin
It takes a few calls. Not only did you find out that Kiku's building houses top notch AAA security, but it is none othe than lone start at holds the contract. You just wish Kiku's wrap sheet was as forthcoming. It seems Kiku was good at hiding her activities, she is suspected in many crimes com meted by her family and several runs in the past but nothing that ever would have gotten her convicted. One thing that pops up though that catches your eye is that she was listed in sever files as a hand to hand expert in several martial styles and weapons.

"Fair enough.  A bit about me.  I'm a licensed security contractor.  Some people hire me to check out their security.  Others hire me to check out their competitor's security.  I'm licensed to carry firearms, and generally do so openly.  If you run into a hostile situation where you need a gunner, I'm fine to take on duties, but I'm not really into conflict.  I prefer to go around obstacles rather than through them.  To that end, I'm pretty alright at staying low and not being seen."
The little gnome was going double time to keep pace with the larger man.  His mouth was easily going double time as well.
"As to questions I got plenty, but we might as well start of with the pay, the players and your expectations of me."

Operator kept up on the conversation, occassionally glancing to the gnome as he elaborated further on his skills. Likeable fellow, confident and no apparent prejudices against Japanese. If that last observation wasn't the case, then his etiquette was passable at the very least. "The promised payment to our group is 45,000 nuyen in equivalent corp script. I dislike dealing in script, but good fixers would not have a hard time in getting that converted to certified cred. Our players include a Salish ork with combat surgeon training, an elven B&E specialist, an Awakened private eye, a mage who appears to follow a non-hermetic tradition, and myself." A subtle stress was placed on 'mage' for emphasis, since Nadir had more in common with mages than shamans.

"I expect you to cover our asses on the Matrix side of this investigation. If we need to clear datatrails or infiltrate a node of interest, you're our man."

Brian was glad to hear the man loosen up a little.  If you expect to die at any moment, you might as well be having fun.  "Fair enough.  Would you need onsite support, or is it only on-demand remote assistance for now?  Just wondering how flexible I'm going to need to be for this.  Like I said, I can fill a number of roles in a secondary capacity, but if all you need is data and logistics, I'm fine doing that from home.  I'm not hurting for cash, so I'm willing to take a lesser share for a lesser role, if that's alright.  You've already said that you don't expect this to be a physical confrontation, and if Jace is keeping his distance, I don't mind keeping mine.  I try to keep my face out of these sort of matters whenever possible.  People tend to remember a gnome.  It can cause problems for more than just myself, ya know."

"I do not foresee problems with remote assistance. There is no need to stick your neck out far in this situation if at all, and even so I wish to be fair with the payment. After all, we are not going to endear ourselves to anyone but the Johnson with this task."

Operator looked over his shoulder, then exhaled briefly. With Mike being as frank as he was, it seemed only logical to continue the conversation on the topic of talents. "I like working with runners who can hold their own, or at least not lose control over their bodily functions. Most of my career revolved around security; not one specific area, mind you, but the way individual elements form the greater picture. I am competent with modern first aid, and I also take great interest in military history.. and guns." Operator kept his hands away from the lined coat, fully out and visible. No need to cause undue alarm.

"Before I explain anything else, do you want to take up this job?"

"No reason yet to say no.  Besides, I like to keep busy."
