Hank nod, "Meh Creepy Joe did say it was safe, not that I trust him very much..." Hank follows the car into the warehouse, still on his guards.

Joe hopped off the trunk once she sensed the car about to come to a stop.  Taking a look around the place, she waited for Andromeda to open the trunk so she could retrieve Carter's corpse.

<<@team: Is someone going to talk to this guy, or do you want me to?  You want me to talk to him, don't you?  That's a fine choice.  Let's do that.>>

Silk watched Little Joe from behind the concealment of the car's tinted windows as it slowly drove into the warehouse and quietly shook her head. She almost replied to her message on the comms, but decided not to.
The little girl wants to play her stupid little games with the guy who drowned a man on land after almost literally tearing apart his brain, from across town? This should prove interesting.
She didn't much like such a loose cannon and the way the little girl's action would reflect upon her even if she kept some distance. But in order to put a leash on the girl, she'd need more support from the group. And in order to get that support, unfortunately, the gnome would have to be given the space and time to screw up.

The warehouse is... different inside, as if a second structure was built inside using the warehouse exterior as a shell. Thick armour plated, attenuating walls. Even the ceiling, which has hinges to open.
Obviously for the Ares Dragon near the back.
A black bulldog step van waits pointing at the door you enter from, there's pace to park your vehicles in here, next to the facility level garage next to the van.

But there's no signs of life, though.

The drive to the barrens had been thankfully uninterrupted by anything serious, even the standard roadblocks, the 'toll booths', didn't seem to be setup today.  Must be the rain.  Silk had done most the talking on the way, somehow having her feet propped up on the dash in front of her.  Noise wouldn't have even thought that possible in such a small car, but Silk had shown otherwise.

The warehouse was something else, especially on the inside. This was no fly by night operation, that was certain. Noise turns the car around and backs into the building alongside the Bulldog, unsure if they'd need to make a quick escape but wanting the car pointed in the right direction at least.  The Opel Luna she was driving was dwarfed by the van as she pulled alongside. The subcompact almost looked like it could fit inside the other vehicle.

She steps out of the car taking a look around.

Comm: Safe or not, be ready for anything. ... Like I should need to say that.

She pops the trunk of her car and grabs her swords, aware that there's no one around.

Anyone with 4 hits or more will notice a hidden trap door in the room. Still waters, roll assensing when the trap door opens.

Leading to stone steps, cut into the ground, the way is lit by lights and goes very deep, eventually leading to corridors of the same thick, strong metal, even the floors now.

There are a lot of junctions but once down there an ARO arrow will point your way.

Anyone who gets 3 hits on Visual perception -6 can notice concealed hatches in every corridor, Log(3) or Hardware/Viable weapons knowledge(2) will recognise them as concealed turrets.

Visual percept. 16d6.hits(5) → [5,4,3,3,1,5,2,3,5,6,6,6,6,6,3,6] = (9)

Joe took one look at the place and knew that this was getting extremely serious.  An installation like this had to be some kind of regional center of operations.  That was reassuring.  People who care about their hairstyles or the paint on their car are too self-possessed to risk certain death, so she no longer had to worry about killing her supposed team mates.  Concluding this, she put the gravel in her pocket and waited for Andromeda to open the trunk.

Lift and carry test Bod 4 +5 Str = 9d6.hits(5) → [1,2,5,4,6,5,5,4,2] = (4)  assuming he weighs less than 135 kilos/297 lbs.

Once she had, Joe jumped into the trunk, picked up Carter and hopped out.  Carrying the much larger man she began walking towards the open hatch without another word.

"Probably best to take sleeping beauty with us too. Don't know how long we'll be and don't want him to wake up all by himself, no?"

Comm: Agreed.

Noise stepped down through the trap door and looked down the corridor, unable to see anything out of the ordinary, and the ARO arrow lighting the way, she waves to the others to follow.  She raises her assault rifle to a ready position as she steps further into the corridor following the arrow.

Comm: I will go first.

After pointing the other in the direction of the trap door Andromeda goes in the direction she has more experience with - machines
Speak to me beauties of the road and air, tell me who is the one who Rides you, who is the one who feeds you, who do you serve?
she takes a look at the Dragon and the bull dog, looking at the hardware and any mods she could see without taking them appart or touching them for that matter, A car  can tell you much about the one who drives it, her sedan would say, hard working, practical, but fast and nimble if needed, what would these two tell her?
The dragon alone would tell you that they are loaded, stinking rich, but are they para-military/Mercs? smugglers?
The bulldog had seen some changes, the armour had been hidden and the tires where changed to some durable ones, other stuff Andromeda could not tell just by looking, but is seemed that both crafts where well maintained.

<<@team: Everyone on their best behaviors, okay?  This whole corridor is lined with hidden panels.  I doubt that they're diaper changing stations.  Maybe machine guns.  Maybe flamers.  I don't see any evidence of use on the opposing walls though...>>
Walking past one, she lightly rapped on it.
<<@team:  This is a costly path we're walking on.  I'd prefer if we could pay attention rather than fealty, but if you have to take a cranial bomb to get out of here alive, that's probably the safer choice.>>

After Silk's comment, Hank goes back to the car and grab the sedated Guards leader. He quickly look up to check if he's still unconscious and put him on his shoulder. "Good idea, Silk, I'll take care of him".

"Well whoever brought us here had about seventy opportunities to kill us with no chance of returning gunfire. I'd say it's pretty safe or all this stuff is fake"

<<@Hank:  Do you know the difference between an amateur and a professional?  The amateur thinks that he can make a living doing his work.  The professional knows he will die doing it still.  I get the feeling that you and the others are about to go pro.  Don't be too concerned.  I'm sure you'll find a new sort of clarity once you wake up with their bomb in your head.  It makes life far simpler.  You do as they say, and you enjoy the protection of being kept by those who are much more powerful than yourself.  I'm sure this will be the start of a glorious chapter for you.  All your old troubles will fall away to be replaced by the comfort and certainty of service.  I'm so excited!>>

@Little Joe "You said what ? Amateur ? Pff... I know your type, you are like that McGowan guy back in 2044, he thought he was real cool with his fancy new techniques and show off moves. When they brought him back to my table missing a foot because the fool walked on a landmine, he realized he wasn't playing the little leagues anymore. You think you are pro ? Wait 'till drek hits the fan, you'll do the same they all do, fall back on me. That's called experience and you just can't buy it."

As Hank sent the message to Little Joe, he realized how old and grumpy it sounded, it was the message of a Dwarf who wouldn't let go.

@Little Joe "... but don't worry, I don't resent it. If you want to live as a slave, that your choice. I'm a free spirit and nothing hold me down. Some live on the Shadows by necessities, I do it by choice, it's my way of life and I'm not looking a home"

Yea that sounds more like it, fierce, bold and confidant. Positive thinking keep the spirit young and sharp. Hank repeated this sentence in his mind like a mantra, or was he just trying to convince itself...
