@LJ: "Personally, I'd like to avoid a 'next time' like that, but if there is one we should probably work on our communication. I'm aware that leaving a mess behind isn't a good thing. Unless you also leave someone else to take the fall, like a bunch of mercs with weapons to match the balli.... Shit. KE finding a bunch of unarmed mercs makes pinning it on them a lot harder I'm afraid. This could get real messy."
Silk's current ideas on how their communications could be improved were exactly opposite of what Kitten had in mind.

Hank moved to the living room and started cleaning up a bit the room, making sure that if he's to remove a bullet from someone, it would be in the best condition possible. He opened his Medkit and started setting up his improvised station

Andromeda was about to com that there is that medkit she had bought from CJ, but then she saw Space coming down the stairs, it was uncomfortable, she did not know this runner, at least not well enough to be fine with him walking around Habu so freely, still the team needed it.
"no need, the turret is way too damaged, no point in repairing it, still if you would like to take a look you are welcome to do so."

"Hmm, as you say. Thought about at least ripping the shell open and try to connect manual to the internal node. There are still some frames I wasn't able to repair...maybe if I take the camera feed directly from the turret.

but how rude, sorry I forgot the personal introduction. Space."
Space points with two fingers to himself und made a little bow. "May I?"

"If you need magical healing, I can do that," Kitten said over the comm while she waited for LJ to finish whatever they were suppose to do here, "Also if needed I can make forensic evidence dissapear as by magic."

Space looks at the turrent but has to admit "Sry, this nova hot nano stuff is beyond my abilities. Maybe we can find some nanobot scientist. Nice thinking to keep it."  Space gives the broken turret back and goes back upstairs. "If you don't mind, I go upstairs again. Going through this footage again, there was some sim-sense data attached, I want to check out. "

When Space is upstairs, he takes Hanks offer, showing him where the bullets had hit his shoulder. He lets Hank take a look while he uses AR to make some changes in the building node:
Quote
-make sure that all old accounts are deleted.
-change the codes (
-add  a second layer around the self-destruction using the stealth and engryption programs from the hidden footage.
-checking if there are other programs on the nexus he can copy to his commlink or a datachip.

@team:Almost forgot: Don't activate the drones manually. I think, I have set them to kill-all-mode.

When Hank is finish with his job, Space sits done on the coach and switch into VR. Checking the flash frames once again in the hope that his edit program has finish the repair and also use his analyse to see if any harmful data is attached. After he made sure that he is running cold Sim and his Biofeedback and Reality filter are on, he starts the sim-sense enhanced footage. Lets see why this feed was hidden so well.

Andromeda was still reserved, but much more free as in the time she met the team for the first time.
Andromeda rises her hand while still balancing the drone in the other.
"Andromeda the name." then she offers Space a look at it.

@team:Almost forgot: Don't activate the drones manually. I think, I have set them to kill-all-mode.

@Space >would you be so nice and make an account for me in the drones? would like to check them out and a massacre in my home is not my idea of a fun evening.<

It takes a while but Space manages to scrape together a few frames. What's shown is just weird, on one frame the turret is sitting on it's tracks with a mounted AK, the next frame shows it gone but with the table and floor covered in metal and circuits.
They are neatly arranged in rows. By the next frame the turret s back on it's track, now sporting the high powered rifle Noise and Space met.
No one in the room seems to have noticed or reacted.

The next few frames are as if from a horror film, you can't help feeling sick when you see it.
Just as with the turret something is laid out of the table and floor. Every bone, every brain and the empty skin of Ron Salt and his mercenaries heads. There bodies continue to sit there dead still, but clearly decapitated.
By the next frame everything is normal again. The meeting continues.

The turrets system in the house only contained footage from fighting Noise, Space and Silk.

Inside his office Creepy Joe's dishevelled coat and long black greasy hair have dried off from earlier. When the disguised gnome enters with the unknown mage he raises an eyebrow, "Er, Hello?", and a Fire Elemental materialises between you and him.

@Andromeda: No prob, the doc her is fixing my shoulder right now, so would you mind to come to me? Don't like to send those codes through the air.
It take Space just a few eye blinks and he finishs an admin account (restricted to the drones) for Andromeda with some now codes. When Andromeda isn't there when Hank is done with his job, Space quickly jumps down the stairs to give Andromeda the codes directly. Aterall, he know how easy someone can sniff a signal and steal those codes, or worse let Andromeda think she has the right codes (just before the drone starts shoting.) Wouldn't be so nice far her or Space's reputation either.

Unfortunatly, Space is in VR or was until he fills the strong urge to go to the toilet and puke his last soymeal into the toilet. Composure: 3 hits This turret scene wasn't the problem, but when the next scene shows up, he can't help to see Kork's face in the cold store. Two bodys hanging like cattles to the slaughterhouse at hooks on the ceiling. Kork and two of his underlings, moving around with butchers knives, and little Space with them, forced to take the two head commlinks away, still with bits of brain hanging on them.
He had thought that he never have to see something like that again, especially after he purked all over Kork (and reservied the punishment for that).

When Space went back to the coach, still a little bit wobbly, he made sure that his Realyt filter put noise and blur over those scattered body parts.
@team:You guys should really come and take a look at those footages with me in VR, something very bad is happening there. Still a little bit confused by those scenes, he attached the decoded flash frames to the message.

Space activates the his camera and micro in his classes and positions his message window in his VR, takes some deep breathes and then move into the VR footage. His hands still shiver a little bit, when he sets a warning point to the footage to warn him before those flash frames come up again.

Silk watched the decoded frames in almost fullview AR. She didn't understand anything about what happened to the turret other than that it seemed a bit weird, but hardware wasn't her thing anyway. As far as she knew, the tech-freaks just caught a lucky break being able to see all the parts and circuits neatly exposed on picture.

She acted disgusted when she watched the bloody stills, but only because she knew that was what would be expected. She ran towards a window and hung her head out. Gag reflexes were something she'd learned to control early in her life for several different reasons.
@team: "What the #@*!, that's some seriously messed up drek! Space, don't send that kind of thing to people without giving a loud and clear heads up man! People, if you haven't watched that second set of frames from Space yet, don't watch it if you have eaten or plan to eat anywhere within 24 hours!"

She thought a moment about what she'd been shown and couldn't get her head around it.
@team: "What's the purpose of this? It's editted, right? But why? Some kind of message? Who's it for and how were they expected to find it? And probably more important, who the hell put it there?"
Silk was really starting to reconsider the bath.

When Andromeda recieved the codes she went straight to the first drone.  Just a few moments she was elbow deep in work, not even pesky messages could bring her out of the fun she was having here. If someone would realy need her, they will have to come and get her.

Since Space had his message window open when he walks through the VR footage, he notice Silks thoughts and stop the footage for a moment to check the data file of the frames. He really didn't like to think about the details from the flash frames, but luckely it seems that some other team members have a better stomach than him.
@team: Nope, I checked the parameter files, doesn't seems like a fake. Ladys at the clinic: do your guy has a SIN? We can check his hospital records if he was operated before or had all this cyberware before this 'meeting' and compar it the body you carry right now.

Noise disregarded the warning about he video and queued it up... and immediately wish she hadn't, even with Space's editing her stomach rolled and she felt the bile creeping up her throat.

Ha! only a single hit on an edge re-rolled composure test.... 11 dice total... so much for the 'sammy' having steel guts.

She soon found herself outside, sucking air to clear her head of the images, finding the rain on the top of her head helping for a more rapid recovery.

"That was unexpected..." She says to no one in particular.

@Space: A warning next time will be required.

Hank first started by checking Noise leg. A good contusion for sure maybe a pulled muscle. A quick inspection could confirm him there was no internal bleeding. He pulled a couple of muscle relievers from his medkit and a good rub. "It should make the pain go away for now, but really you need to take a couple hours to rest it completely. Try not to put too much weight on it and it should be good"

Healing Romy : Logic 5 + First Aid 4 + Improved Skill (First Aid) 2 + Combat Wounds 2 + Medkit 6 - 1 Essence lost -1 Average Conditions (17d6.hits(5)=4) I wrote Romy but it was really Noise, you can cure 2 boxes of stun damage

Hank took a look at Space's wounds, "So I bet you are the new Hacker Chrona got us right ? Tough first meet as I can see ? Yea without this body armor, that could have gone much worse, what hit you ?" Hank paused a second to think and then said, "I think your shoulder is slightly off, let me pull it back in place." Hank grabbed Space arm (luckily, he was able to reach it without getting on a chair !) and started applying pressure. A satisfying "clac" assured him he was right. "Here we go, that should be good now."

Quote
Logic 5 + First Aid 4 + Combat Wounds 2 + Improved Skill 2 + Medkit 6 -2 Essence Lost -1 Average conditions (16d6.hits(5)=6) Space can cure 4 boxes of Stun damage

Hank was busy with fixing Space shoulder so he quickly dismissed the AR window notification. As he finished, he mindlessly opened the file. "HOLY CRAP WHAT THE FRAK WAS THAT ! This is the sickest drek I've seen since I had to put the guts back in poor Ol'Larry body. Don't do that again dude or next time I'll "fix" your shoulder right in the middle of your back !"

Quote
Willpower 4 + Charisma 2 (6d6.hits(5)=2)

As he calmed down, Hank recognized the man as Ron Salt  he quickly messaged Little Joe Angela and the new girl.

@Angela and Kitten : "You girls OK? We just got some wierd footage of Salt corpse. You still have it right ? And are we sure it's really him ?"

Kitten opened the file that was send without thinking about it.  While she was surprised about the footage, she had seen worse in the Yucatan and Bug City.  When you were in the sickbay and one after the other merc - people you knew, who you had trained with - was brought in with wounds everywhere, most already heavily infected, you quickly learn to keep yourself together or you didn't get everything done.

composure (7d6.hits(5)=4)

"Put him somewhere we can drop the invisibility," she said to LJ.  She waited for that before dropping the spell and going into the astral to have a look.

assensing (8d6.hits(5)=6)

"I've checked and I'm sending you a list right now," she said over the comms.  After her investigation, she composed a message of the cyber she had found and send it out.

"Does that compares to what you have," she asked, "BTW, do you guys haven't confiscated his commlink to have a look for his SIN?"
