Among the hundreds of guest are dozen or two of awakened metahuman. Surrounded by their personal stock of watchers and occasional spirit. The magical security concentrate on the temple. its walls are warded and it is guarded by the spirit of air that is shaped dragonlike and it 'nesting' around the temple tower highest floor.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Mouse tried to hack his way into the Chinese mall master node.  He circled the matrix construct looking for any flaw in the programming, while avoiding the patrolling IC on the perimeter. With Omar's help they did found one.

They dodged the ice and slashed through, but as soon as they got in the alarm sound was heard. Around Omar's icon a large red circle appeared marking him as an intruder.

He made a slight bow to the innocently looking datapackage attached to the incoming order and logged off.

Inside the node Mouse was looking around. Immediately after the alarm two security hackers were scrambled fully loaded with offensive software. They are sculpted like the Shaolin Monks assuming battle stances. There are two IC present sculpted like a ghosts or spirits of air. Closer inspection would be needed to identify their purpose and loaded software.

You got five combat turns (15 complex actions) breathing space before they'll find out it was two of you hacking in. they will know so after the access log will be updated. until that you expect them to run trace on Omar and sniff around to see if he managed to do any damage before he left
Sorry for a small delay ;)

@Team: ok, i'm in. node on alert, so not much time.

I pass the login credentials to Sleuth. I will pass Sleuth the path to run my agent software and common software, if he needs it. I would prefer to use the local nexus software if at all possible.
@Sleuth: Here are the login credentials (level: security.) Here's what I want you to...<gives explicit technical instructions for game terms>
I'm thinking I may be able to kill two birds with one stone: get as much data on the event taking place and slow down the spiders and IC.
I want Sleuth to run agents (which will operate on this node) as many as he can manage. An id with security access can do this. Whether or not the node has all the applications needed I don't know. Each agent is to run 1 armor, 1 attack, and as many search and analyze programs that it can manage. The purpose of the agents and apps are two-fold: data-gathering and denial-of-service. I want the search apps to find out as much data as they can on the event going on and red wire. Any additional seach programs are to hog the log files by continuously scanning for everything.The analyze programs I want to analyze the spiders and the ic and the node. I want to know what the stats and apps each is running. I want to know where security systems are (the node) and any hidden nodes. Basically, I want a full probe of the node(s) of the nexus. Sleuth's job is to keep agents running, so they can keep running their apps and maybe fend off any attackers. All this will generate at least 48 resources the nexus will have to support not including the ic, spiders, users and their agents and their apps. Should slow the server drastically.
In a nutshell, I'm having Sleuth create a search and analyze bot-net on the mall nexus.

Once done with my instructions to Sleuth, I log into the Red Wire node.

Ryker looks over towards Sam " Hoy, Chummer you ready to go and get this guy?" With that Ryker proceeds to the target destination in the mall. Thinking to himself, I hope this chummer don't put up a fight, but if he does.... he aloows his thoughts to clear away as he enters the mall. Time for buisness.

Satisfied that Sleuth is up and running, establishing the search and analyze bot-net, I slip into Red Wire's node. Thinking to himself that was either a really good idea, or a really bad one. I guess I'll have to wait and see how sleuth handles the bot-net. Especially, since I haven't tried using a sprite to control a bot-net before. This should be interesting. Snapping my thoughts back to the task at hand, I need to let Omar know they have started the trace.

@Omar: they started a trace on you. I suggest redirecting it if you can.

Within the mall node security hacker followed the signs of the login and out immediatelly.
At the same moment the Sleuth sprite loaded up another agent using the node library.

The female ghost noticed the action and perform a detailed check on the executing icon. Her test however mystical it looked in the mall reality filters included a damn hard validation algorithms. The original exploit Mouse had used was to enable the deactivated security account. Simple yet effective, and it granted the sprite the ability to enter. When queried for identification the IC initially recognized the credentials and accepted, but a second layer check in the HR database left her no option - that account was disabled previously and was not reenabled on the security hackers rooster. Intruder!

At this point the reaction of the remaining hacker and IC was swift and kung-fu blows from the hacker and ghostly spear form the male ghost launched toward the Sleuth icon.
He dodged the blows easily.

In the neighbouring node Mouse taken a look inside the Chinese house that served as a node sculpture.  The notable interfaces are:
- window #1 connection to the peripheral (cameras, vending machines, printers, air conditioning, lights etc.)
- window #2 connection to the internal transactions booth
- treasure chest (encrypted files containing a databomb)
- storeroom door #1 (connections to the inventory database)
- storeroom door #2 (connection to the the drones rack node, slaving the cleaning bot, and transport bots)
- fix-line phone (connection to the suppliers database, orders and their nodes)
- arms display wall (connection to the maglocks in the store doors, emergency panic button)

there is a shop managing agent looking like an old Chinese men

Quote from: OOC
Given your credentials (logging from the main mall node on security priviledges) he provide you with whatever information on the matrix security as well as full access to window #1, storeroom#2, and arms display wall, but no information regarding the shop internal data. You need a simple action per query if you want anything to from him.
If you want access to the remaining interfaces you need security account on that node.

The system parameters are far weaker than the main mall node - System 3, Firewall 3, Response 5, based on your matrix knowledge it seems that they specialise here with serving large number of customers (high response), and bet their security on the master mall node.

<<I may log off the main node now that I am in Red Wire's node depending on the adv/disadv of doing so>>

I look though the security window to see if i can find our hacker.
@Team: going to see if I can get you in through the back door <<ARO of store layout and where back (receiving) door is and where in the store the hacker is at>>. Want to create a wish list? <<ARO of sale items>>

Second later Mouse was looking at the scene inside the shop.

In the darkish room lit only by the mild light of the turned on equipment presented on the walls of the shop was a dead body. A men in the combat vest adorned with a Golden Triangle was laying face down, shot in the back on the internal booth keyboard, continously issuing orders. Boxes electronics are stacked around the area. In the middle is makeshift office with the walls defined by stacked boxes. Inside that area second guard sits in the office chair with a gunshot wound to the head/neck. His gun is on the table next to a commlink.

At the end of that eternally long second, he felt his mental link to the Sleuth sprite being separated.

There would have been a tension on the link had been a try to decompile it, so that means it probably got destroyed.
we are not in combat, but technically in the 3rd IP of the 1st CT

Please make a visual perception roll and matrix perception roll.

Seeing the two dead men,
@Team: we've got a problem. <<AROs of the camera feeds of the store displaying the two dead men>>. Do you still want to proceed?

Mouse will log out of the mall nexus node.

I will start by seeing if I can backtrack the security footage to see if I can get information on who did this.

Mouse Matrix Perception: Computer(4)+Analyze(5)+2TM-2Sustaining-->
9d6.hits(5)=4
Mouse Perception: Intuition(5)+Perception(2)-6VR-->1d6.hits(5)=0
I am assuming that I am -6d for being in full VR.

@Team>Ola, this is bad, now we will be even more suspicious if we go in without a good reason, i can only think of one way to get in without getting heat on us.<
@Mouse>Can you see any name tags, can you log on a comlink of a dead guard? com numberer and a name would make for a great entrance.<

@Team>would you be ok with me revealing to the Triads that the Store has been attacked?<

@matrix
Mouse notices a data package transmitted from the storeroom #1 looked suspicious enough that his Analyze complex form raised a flag. After closer inspection, it appeared to be a masking of the icon sculpted like a rabbit that was carrying a nut and a carrot in his hands.

@shop
Through the camera view you notice that the commlink (or actually glasses with a built in commlink) laying on the desk is still operating (the internal side of the glasses is flashing some ARO's.

Backtracking the video feeds is certainly possible.

in another second Mouse quickly checked the panic button status - it seems that it is online, ready to activate with a simple command. It is connected with a Wuxing Corporate Security Office. It hasn't been used (or at least the status isn't reported as 'pressed')

Backtracking the video feed shows most interesting situation happening about 1 hour ago. Guards have entered the shop. and closed the doors. One of them sit nearby the entrance the other at the desk. Both were playing some AR game when one of them took of his commlink glasses took the gun and shot the other in the head. Then shot himself. You had to replay it twice to believe.
While replaying you noticed something else. Normally the feed should be routed to the central security console of the mall. It is looped with guards playing AR games. Most interesting however is that you felt a resonance signature on the spoof program that is doing so.

Meanwhile the agent finished whatever he was doing with the storeroom #1 and operated fix-line phone construct.

Finally a female ghost appeared in the node and started to scan the area.
