A few moments had passed, but there where no sign that something had changed, no answer from Mouse, nothing from Omar either, not even the junkies showed a sign of activity. Sam Got inpatient.
@Team >I will shut down the com as soon as Omar gives me the green light to do so, some one has to be there when he wakes up.< The tone of the message had become almost indifferent, you could not tell if Sam meant to finish him of if he does wake up or simply to see if he is all right
After the short message had been sent, Sam sighted, this was something he disliked, Slacking off at times when the leads are getting cold.
His eyes met a stare of one of the junkies. It was scary, the stare was empty, not because Sam was invisible for him, but because he did not see in this world, he was living a lie, a beautiful and mesmerizing lie. A lie that never gave him trouble or pain, that never gave him the fear for his life. One day they would wake up to reality of piss and hunger, or die in their world of lies.
Sam was somewhat happy, he had escaped these lies, not the virtual ones, he had never been a fan of the matrix, but the Corp lies. He had left behind the lies about right and wrong, about safety and sacrifice, he had stopped to believe that the world is a place where good ones win and the evil loses.
It's time for mouse to learn this, the easy way or the hard one.
Looking at the junkies and having nothing better Sam had an idea, he could test his professional borders, and the junkies were the perfect set up to test his fingers, pickpocketing out the weapons the junkies have, then if it comes down to it, Sam would feel more safe if they would be disarmed. they had only a few guns and no cyberware on and in them, so they would be not much of an enemy, but still, they could get a lucky shot.
