JDA, reading your previous posts (please remove them form the IC, and post a new one as they are fairly much out of date - the situation has changed meanwhile quite a lot)

On Rykers turn his actions are:
Ryker as he watch the events begin to unfold from astral space realized that this is one situation that is going to get very ugly very quickly. Thinking for a moment to clear his head he returns to his meat. Then begins a message on the comm link and realize quick that their is no signal. Great two hackers in the group and can't even keep up  communications channels. One more reason why I don't have much use for technology and then takes a deep breath in and smiles at the thought that their is one thing he does have use for. Verbalizing to others in the car "this is what I'm good at" then begins to study the group making it a point to mark Sam position, so he can keep him out of the spells effect and area if thier is one on another round. Then Looks at the girl and mutters "alright sweety time for sleep." With that Ryker with the aide of his spell focus unleashes his very first stun bolt against a target. Casting it as powerful as he can.
14d6.hits(5) → [3,1,3,4,1,5,4,5,4,5,4,6,1,2] = (4)  OK. I was hoping for something alot better than that. Must of had some nervousness for losing the virginity on this spell.
Drain is 9d6.hits(5) → [2,5,4,1,3,2,4,3,2] = (1)
If I'm reading this right there is no drain as I had a drain value of 1.

If the girl is already down by my turn my attack would ba a powerball on the group to give Sam a clear path to the car. I will go with same rolls as that would have been my spell and drain rolls . if i use powerball then my drain would be 3 boxes. just let me know.

First you don't see the girl (she is behind a car), so I assume you go for powerball anyway using the above roll (4 hits).

Secondary - If you cast powerball at your max than your drain value is equal to 10/2 + 3 -> 8P.
With the above roll for drain resistance you'll get 7P damage on your own. I'd consider using lesser force of the spell unless you want to edge to reroll misses on a drain resistance roll as well.

I should have two edge if memory serves me correctly. Spending one to go first and I will have one left. I'm away from my charcter sheet.. I want to get the two guys attacking the guard and the one coming infront of Omars van. I am overcasting and would use the other edge to reroll drain. However, I will make that roll this evening when I'm at home. Unless one of you want to roll it to speed up the process. On my free action I yell at the guard to go inside and take cover.

Sam... I know that we cut the communication all of sudden, well IMO, based on GM general posts about this "Taske", if you maintain that radio silence I was stressing before I reboot, you will be able to use your infiltration skills, otherwise "she" always has your almost precise GPS etc.

actually - that 'long' time is about four months RL but just few hours game time - I wouldn't think you'd be giving out security/admin account to your nodes to BTL abusing street urchin, but I could be wrong, life in Lagos is quite another story, you learn to trust your team in a matter of minutes in a warzone

Physical turning off the commlink, takes one simple, the problem is - that if he turn of the commlink, he turn off the smartlink, radar and all the fancy stuff he has there.
Secondary he would have to hide and reappear again. Right now the chipheads use standard cameras to feed their commlinks, and since he isn't running BTL on his own to mark himself 'friend' he will be overlaid with demon skin anyway

Wow...I see a confusion on that to use smartlink you dont need comlink in any way necesaary...Smartguns partner is smartlink implant, not comlink, Radar is StandAlone implant, for nothing of this commlink is nessesary . ...hm...I bet that you can find even archetype/sample character with implanted cyberlimbs, smartlink or something like that but no commlink...at least no implanted one...

Worse is, that if you hack his commlink node, you will also become able to hack his ware, because you get to mutual distance 3m (as for cyberware signal is 0)

the gun/suit has a skinlink but all the other are just nodes - how about convincing his sleep regualtor that it's time to take a nap? like about NOW?

doubt Sam would Slave his ware to his comlink, and on this i am on Sirchs side, the Comlink is not the CPU for my equipment, it is only the phone part, that transmits data, like a modem in an old type PC.
the radar works with the glasses, as do the smartgun, there is nothing about smartgun using a comlink, do i have to be online to use it like in DRM?
