and suddenly Sent exploded ... :D

I shoot him ... okay, make the roll, I'll make dodge one .... ooooh he dodges? ... okay, I'm not going to shoot I'll read a book instead ...

Sichr, an action was declared and confirmed. on CT2, IP1 you ram the vehicle.
if you want you CAN voluntarily discard all hits, and allow the sedan to avoid your ram leaving Tina in the open, but you can shoot her on your CT2 IP2 at the earliest.

now make your roll or allow him to dodge. regardless Sam and the Curio will have to dodge you passing by.

ps. the sedan have darkened glasses (standard) - you can turn on the radar (free), and check if there is anyone inside (detailed observation +3, make the perception roll - complex)  at the cost of -2 to all further rolls, due to radar interference. By the logic however five persons took off the car, and it is a 5-passengers vessel. MAYBE there is someone in the back coffer (I wouldn't give him much chance to survive in the ramming case though).
Sorry for a small delay ;)

and before you tell me you are not able to reach that car, it have to accelerate and go into you from the opposite direction otherwise it would be cornered without option to move other the back driving.

the dodges will have to be made int the IP2 though, because that's when you'll be around Sam and Curio

And 1 rem...look, Im not trying to avoid crashing or something. Im confident that I can roll this ram test even better than gunnery, damage is 13P if raming, 17P if firing, and for 7P coming on me I have a good car to stay alive. Im just trying to fin  reasonable solution, from what seemed to be ramming = 1 complex action, now seems to be ramming = 2 complex actions and maybe more, and more to it, scene is really confusin for me. I dont want my hands tight whole CT because Im doing a single thing.
Maybe some arrows on the map should hel, and measure, and everything will be OK ;)

we don't really have much experience in vehicle combats :D

I know that you changed your action based on your understanding, which blames me as one unable to describe the situation clear enough even with the help of draws. Life :/

for me it's simple, situation was described (you wanted to ram, I decided it's possible), roll was made, and now we are having discussion.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

By the way, Kour, snake, JDA, I hope that you don't feel intimidated by our discussions with Sichr, if you have an opinion on the matter feel free to share it. Even more I'd encourage you to voice yourself. I guess that it's becoming a permanent flavor of our games that we iron out practical implementation of RAW in a heated debates and as much part of the game as what is going in the IC.

I guess it's our form of socializing and I believe there is no hard feeling on either side, so step in or just enjoy :)

In fact, I feel that this is maybe lot of discussions for details, but it helps me to build better understanding to rules and gives me practical experience I need in fields Im not used to play even as a GM - Matrix, Vehicle combat are such fields. Improvement with every step forward, Im thankful for it. I hope it is not too anoying to others :P

Mouse's current stats: No physical dam, 2 stun damage, and 1 point of edge.

Snake I think, that you have somewhere between 5 and 7 stun damage from the previous scene (in Dean's house), there was I think some physical damage as well. While the P boxes were cleared by Ryker's magic, the stun was covered by stim patches as to not give you damage modifers. the stun boxes are still filled however.

going by the average I would say you have 8S giving you no damage modifier but making you pretty close to pass out.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

I had 6stun when I got in the van. Unca Omar applied a stim patch (or what ever patches we bought while I had to get my clothes changed) to remove the stun and Ryker healed the 2 points of physical I had. Since no one said an amt of stun to remove. I assumed all the stun damage was healed. that's how I got to only 2 stun damage.

The fault sprite isn't doing anything at the moment. His main task would be to guard the network (from my bio-node to my slaved devices) against intruders. He would be holding action until I give him something more specific to do as my signal is only strong enough to reach Omar at the moment. Depending on how much time it would take to establish communications with him (establishing and protecting coms was the last task Unca Omar gave to Mouse) he may go on to Sam and Ryker's com links so we all can communicate again.

I figure Mouse 1) being only a teenager isn't that experienced in combat situations so he's relying on Unca Omar's guidance at the moment--is carrying out the task given to him. 2) he's in the matrix (effectively), so I assume that he only has limited consciousness as to what is going on around him. He knows about the bot net, so he is ensuring that the node's he adds (Omar's, Sam's, and Ryker's) are going to be clean before slaving them to his node. Once slaved, the bot-net will have to go through his bio-node and according to the post made by Sent, only a Sprite or a TM would be able to hack his bio-node.

Your discussions enlighten me, so i do not mind.
and if you need some dodge rolls, feel free to make them as i am a bit in Germany and i just got free from the preparation 1:00 AM and i have to be back at 7:00 so not much time to be online. my action on my turn as stated befor is attacking the number 5 person. rolls are made somewhere in the OOC.
i trust in the GM not to use my absence to kill me off.  ::)
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best and expect nothing!

stim patches do not cure stun boxes - they only reduce wound modifiers. They ideas is that the you gulp a redbull and keep on going, despite the fatigue, but it is going to hit you in the back in few hours anyway, when the effect wear off

Question is how to resolve this. In rules they say:
Quote from: SRA, p.169
If a driver wants to ram something (or someone) with the vehicle, treat
it as a melee attack.

From this I would understand that this is not Thresshold test, but that net scesses are addded to the Basic damage from the table on the same page, same way as in Melee combat. What do you think? On the other side, this would also increase damage, that ramming vehicle must oppose, which seens strange to me: the better you hit, the worse you get hurt yourself :P
I can live with that option...in average the difference would not be too high...in the world of vehicles damage resistence dicepools are slightly different from meat...
