im making a character whose a thrill seeker and loves to go out and party all night long.
ive put aside some building points to flesh out this side of the character but im running out of ideas before i run out of points :P
anybody got some fun/usefull ideas for me?
ive already got:
-gymnastics with a specialization in dancing
-con with a specialization in seducing
-etiquette with a specialization in clubs (not the weapons duh)
-knowledge skill of dancing (know all the latest moves ;) )
-knowledge skill of clubs (again not the weapons)

Thrill seeker is more a role playing concept,

If you choose thrill seeker quality, dodge is a good thing :)

Drugs knowledge, illegal underground party, escorts, security procedures, music knowledge, vip knowledge, area knowledge etc.

The dark side of partying should have no secret for you.
Can I do a structural analysis ?
(I have only one dice in English :p)

ive got the thrill seeker quality, the character loves to drag other club-goers into wild adventures like joy-riding, etc...
those are ecxelent suggestions, ecxept for the drugs; the character is an adept and an (extreme)sport nut, so drug are not really the way she enhances her performances :P

  • What we've got here is failure to communicate

I have seen this sort of concept done in a couple of my campaigns and in addition to the skills, it really comes down to the contacts.  Bartenders, bouncers, clubbers, etc.  I have seen alot of different contacts come out of the statement "I know them from the club."  Beyond that a group contact of the club scene using rules from the companion can also work.  Also high Charisma is a must.

good idea ive got charisma 5 and etiquette and con at 3 both with an spec. so a group contact wouldnt be odd
just got to check if i can make it usefull too; i like the idea so im going to take it, but it would be handy if the contact is usefull for running too
i can see the contact as a great resource for info, rumors, and so on ...
but for so many points i would want some more uses for the contact

im going to take the group contact "party animals" an organization of 90+ members located in seatle they organize parties at "special" locations, like a building demolition or other exciting locations and events, they also have a website that updetes where events are held and where people can post such locations (could be usefull for distractions; a party starting where we just happen to be breaking in, the guards would have their hands full :P )

Dancing is one of the specialization examples for gymnastics in SR4A.

Choreography would definitely be Artisan (and could be hilarious if you had a whole group of dancers), but Dancing is definitely Gymanstics.

A clubbing thrill seeker sounds to me like someone who's pretty likely to be a Braggart.
Possibly a bias towards boring & dull people too, though that may not be enough to warrant a Neg.Q.
Sustenance or a Sleep Regulator to make sure you got the time and energy to combine 'running with partying?

why brag about something when you can spend that time looking for the next thrill?
and yeah boring people are so....     boring!
you make a good point, ill see if i can fit something like that in at creation; if not its a great goal to work to (need more ... time to... party, zzzzz)
