If you have a spot for one more, please count me in. I'll give up my spot to a newcomer who isn't playing a game though.

Question: Would it be okay to have a late-teen character? Say 17 or higher? And would 750 Karmagen be okay?

Well so far, 7 have shown interest.
1. Chrona --- Ghoul Combat
2. Larzarus --- Shiva Adept
3. benhatt ---   Rigger
4. Onion Man --- Ex- Security Guard
5. Xzylvador? --- Sam/Infiltration
6. Farothel ---  Hunter/Face
7. Ethan  ---- Rigger/Hacker or Mage

If everyone is wanting to play, I can make the exception and run it for seven people, but I want everyone using the same 400 BP system for building with the rules from the first post.

Larzarus, you can play whatever you want, but keep in mind that the rarer you are, the easier it is to track you down in the city. (For some reason I picture that character being kept in the van and occasionally being let out when someone calls out "send in the gimp")

Ethan, its going to be beginning runners so feel free to make whatever character you want to play within the rules I set out. I can easily see someone from a lower part of town getting into the biz earlier than that even, especially if they're a troll or an orc.

I've got the current list of possible characters people have suggested up next to the player names, I'll edit it as we get more concrete info. I love the character concept Onion Man, and I can't wait to see the stats you come up with.

I'm going to post a list of contacts in Seattle. Feel free to create you own if you want, but if you don't want to mess with fleshing them out it will give you a list to choose from. In addition, I'm going to give a fixer for free to everyone, I'll include the details on him with the contact list.

Looking at it more, I'll use Invisible Castle for active player rolls during the campaign, but for anything I consider to be passive (perception, detection spells, ect.) and the bad guys I'll make the rolls.

[Now that I've been over that, I won't start the game itself until Friday or Saturday, I'm going to be out of town for a funeral most of this week.]

Yeah,I thought about getting a wide camoflauge rain pancho  to hide the second pair of arms and also take as negativ quality something less visible like Berserker (although this can be a little bit dangerous for the rest of the time)

Chrona: How would your ghoul hide that he is a ghoul?

So far I see a 3 combat characters (or four, depending what the ghoul will be like).  I'll keep the gillette for now, but I'll have a look tomorrow for something more support like in case it's necessary.

I have a concept here already:

Born into a Filipino family that had already taken "refuge" in Hong Kong, specifically in Kowloon. Through a combination of debts, connections, and luck he was employed in one of the smuggling operations where he showed that he had a natural talent as a driver or pilot. Crash 2.0 was an opportunity for him--as the world went to hell he, along with a few other smugglers, made for the shinier shore of Seattle. He managed to grab a refugee SIN, awarded post-Crash as a grab for votes, and moved his family into the small filipino community near (but not in) Redmond.

With a Refugee SIN all but worthless in getting legit jobs, he turned to petty theft before lining up several jobs as a delivery boy for a few street fixers and low-rung criminals. A street gang claimed a toll for him to pass through on a delivery once; he sliced the troll leader's arms off as he sped by on his bike. Since then, he's worked less as a delivery boy and more as a "messenger" sent to people and places to "deliver a message".

His name is Antonio Gonzaga. He turned 17 in February 28, 2074.

He has refused work for anyone related to the yakuza. In fact, he goes out of his way to avoid anything related to japan. More than a few japanese street toughs have disappeared along his routes.

(He is a combat character too, but has some potential as a face (currently 7 dice, can be redone to have 9 easily). Has Hacking/EW at 4 too, and is a Rigger.)

The following is a list of fleshed out contacts in Seattle that you can feel free to pull from. Please Note that everyone gets #8, Ready Eddy (A fixer in Touristville), as a free contact (Connection:3 / Loyalty:2). The contacts have a listed connection value and you can buy their loyalty at whatever you want it to be. Just make sure to come up with a good reason for it and remember, the better friend a contact is, the more they want from you as well. Feel free to increase Eddy's Loyalty with build points as well if you want.

CONTACT LIST
1.   Larry Bale
Connection: 2-4
Location: Tacoma Docks.
Russian Human – Vory Arms Dealer
Larry is an arms dealer with Russian ties that operates right off the docks. His knowledge on firearms is second to no one. He has access to a workshop within twenty four hours travel of Seattle and a facility in Russia if he needs it.

Larry is a very brutal man and mixed with his general paranoia this makes him very dangerous when angered. He always keeps at least three bodyguards with him at meets, usually Russian orks armed with an assortment of SMGs and ARs. Meets always take place where he specifies and in a location that favors him if the deal goes south. He prefers the docks where he can make an easy getaway in a speedboat.

Outside of the biz, Larry is a Combat Biking fan. He loves the blood and violence of the sport. His favorite team is the Renton Renders.
Note: Players can buy Larry Bale at any level of connection between 2 and 4. This level will show how much Larry trusts the character and will determine what kind of gear Larry is willing to “find” for the character.

2.   Jerry Bale
Connection: 2-4
Location: Tacoma Docks.
Russian Human – Vory Implant Dealer
Jerry’s trade is the transferring of cyberware and bioware and he does a damn good job at it. He doesn’t have many qualms about cutting it out if he needs to and he never asks questions about where it came from. The only time he refuses a body is if it’s a friend or a member of the Russian Mob.

Jerry is much more laid back than his brother Larry, but even more detached from his humanity. He enjoys watching animals feed and one of his pass times is to watch the sharks after he chums all the evidence of his “harvesting”. He always sets the locations for meets because his brother insists on it, and usually Larry and his bodyguards provide protections for the meets.

Jerry’s other interests are also very different from Larry’s. He enjoys fine food, fine wines and fine music. He likes to follow politics as well, but he always feels that life is better back home in Russia.

Note: Players can buy Jerry Bale at any level of connection between 2 and 4. This level will show how much Jerry trusts the character and will determine what kind of gear Jerry is willing to “find” for the character.

3.   James Turner
Connection: 2
Location: Patrols the Renton District.
UCAS Elf – Knight Errant Patrol Officer
James is a normal patrol officer in Renton. He doesn’t have a lot of pull with the officials, but if he declares an area quiet or clear, then most other patrol officers will pay attention.

James just re-entered life as a bachelor after a rough divorce. He enjoys nights out on the town and the general clubbing atmosphere.

4.   Lelu Sheirka
Connection: 3
Location: Unknown, contacted through a Comcode or AR mail.
Indian Orc – Decker
Lelu is a Seattle based decker good at getting into Corp Security files, travel plans, and maintenance schedules. She’s good at manipulating data files and copying them when need be.

She loves the thrill of gossip and enjoys being tossed scraps of corp data for prototypes and CEOs dirty secrets. She used to be a runner, but after a bad job that left her with a paralyzed leg, she sticks to collecting data while hooked in from cyber cafes.

5.   Elley Conner
Connection: 5
Location: SeaTac Division HQ in Downtown.
Irish Human – F.B.I. Corporate Investigator
Elly is a FBI Corp Investigator in charge of at least twelve undercover field agents. If there are wrong doings going on in a corp, she is the one in the position to know the most.

Elley Conner has also played the part of “Johnson” when she needs evidence that she can’t get her hands on because of those damned extraterritoriality laws.

6.   Suzo
Connection: 2
Location: North Tacoma Tattoo Parlor, lives in upstairs apartment.
Japanese Human – Yakuza Tattoo Artist and Drug Dealer
Suzo is a tattoo artist in North Tacoma at the “Zen Dragon Parlor” with ties to the Yakuza drug trade. His clients are usually Yakuza soldiers, but he has the occasional normal citizen wander into the shop as well. He lives above the low rent apartment above the shop and spends most nights watching old trideos and eating junk food.

7.   Mira Cantella
Connection: 2
Location:  Dispatch HQ
Latina Dwarf – Knight Errant Dispatcher
Mira is a low wage dispatcher at the Central Dispatch Center. She works 8 PM to 8 AM shifts every weekday and every fourth Saturday. Five years ago she would have turned in anyone offering her a payout in a heartbeat, but her husband died. Now she’s a single mother working between 60 and 70 hours a week just to make ends meet and has nothing extra to spend on her two boys.

8.   Ready Eddy   (FREE CONTACT)
Connection: 3
Loyalty:2
Location: Bar Owner in Touristville, Redmond, lives upstairs.
UCAS Human – Fence/Fixer
Ready Eddy owns “Ready Eddy’s”, a bar in the Touristville part of Redmond, meaning that it’s the seediest hangout most corp types would ever set foot in. He prides himself on keeping the place dimly lit with lots of shadowy side booths. Despite the location, Ready’s food is decent (although over priced) and the drinks are good if you aren’t too opposed to spit shined glasses.

Out of the back room Ready is willing to deal with just about any standard loot a man can offer. He doesn’t deal in data or prototypes, those are just too sophisticated for his usual clientele, but guns, armor and the other standards of the trade are just as much currency as nuyen is to him.

9.   James Ellis
Connection: 4
Location: Burger King in Touristville, Redmond.
CAS Human – Decker/Forgery Expert
James Ellis (doubtful that it’s his real name) is an ace at creating false sin’s, company ids, and DOT tags and plate registries. He’s not bad at hacking into other systems either, but his specialty is by far in his abilities to grant people and their items a new slice of history. His work isn’t the cheapest by any means, but if quality is what you’re after, you can’t find any better. He also tends to buy any old credsticks or commlinks that runners manages to come across in their biz, and has the means to “clean” gear of those pesky RFIDs.

10.   “Timmy” Barnes
Connection: 1
Location: Redmond Abandoned Meat Packing Plant
German Troll – Gang Leader
Timmy is the leader of the “Redmond Choppers”, a biker gang known for their use of meat cleavers and axes. The gang has about three dozen members with about two dozen bikes. They are housed out of an abandoned Meat Packing Plant in Redmond. The Redmond Choppers are paid by Johnny Mancuzo to provide security to his property holdings in the area.

Johnny rents out the offices in the back of the meat packing plant where the choppers usually crash. The neighborhood is rough and is known as THE place to be to hear the latest in the thrash genre of music.

Timmy has also been known to gather up the calvary and run distraction for runners in the past. The Choppers expect repayment, but care little if its in nuyen or a couple dozen pizzas and a keg.

11.   Wendy Lane
Connection: 4
Location: Anne Hill, Downtown
UCAS Human - NewsNet Reporter
Wendy is a news reporter for NewsNet Channel 11. She usually does the early morning shows, but is striving to get into the big leagues. She’s a social bug and knows how to fit in with nearly every crowd.

She hired runners to gather some secrets on a dirty congressman a few months back and they  came through in spades. The scoop was so good it earned her a pay raise and a promotion in the ranks at her company. She’s realized that these “deniable assets” are just as good of “friends” to keep around as her corporate executives.

12.   Billy “The Kid” Kidman

Connection: 2
Location: Owns a clinic with a backroom in West Tacoma.
CAS Dwarf – Implant Surgeon/Street Doc
Billy is a cyber implant surgeon that operates out of “The Wounded Duck Trauma”, a small clinic in West Tacoma near the docks. Billy is an ace at implanting and can even patch up wounds fairly well and is known to offer extremely competitive prices. He also sells medical equipment and gear to those runners who are smart enough to ask for it.

Billy lives two blocks down from the clinic, and while he isn’t always happy about it, any runners who have his number will get serviced in the back room after hours with just one phone call. He has three nurses that are also on the “extracurricular” team and help out with the emergency situations, but you can expect to pay premium rates for such treatment.

13.   Miles Lawson
Connection: 3
Location: Christopher District in Renton.
African Elf – Security/Surveillance Expert/Dealer
Lawson is an African elf that takes residence in one of the rougher parts of Renton. He deals in Passkey’s, Sequencers, Recorders and all other security and surveillance measures and countermeasures.

Miles runs with the “Grey Wraiths”, a street gang centralized in South Tacoma and gets most of his merchandise from boosting local shipments and deliveries. Miles never buys electronics, but he will usually point people in the right direction to offload them.

14.   Johnny Mancuzo
Connection: 5
Location: South Tacoma Casino “Pin Stripe Elite”.
Italian Elf – Mob Affiliated Fixer
Johnny is Italian Elf moved into Seattle eight years ago. He’s with the mob and makes no effort to hide the fact. His network of contacts is truly staggering and he can get just about anything for the right price. He also deals with properties and owns over a dozen houses and apartments throughout the city as well as controlling several mob warehouses.

15.   Cari Banks
Connection: 2
Location: Healing Center in East Tacoma near a Public Park.
Gnome – Snake Shaman
Cari is a Shaman that works at an organic healing center, “The White Moss”, in East Tacoma near the Fellingham Park. She works, lives, and meditates at the center and is almost always willing to treat the injured for the right “donation”. She is not particularly stubborn about price but insists that her work provide a little funding for the shelter.

16.   BlinX
Connection: 1
Location: Roams around, always meets at Ready Eddy’s.
Dwarf – Mage Private Eye
BlinX is an ex-security mage turned private eye. He’s a bit loose lipped and tells everyone who will listen what he does, and what he’s done, for a living. He doesn’t do combat jobs, but he can easily defend himself when he needs to. His experience as a bouncer and security guard have made him exceptionally skilled at non-lethal takedowns and disarming opponents.

17.   Willy the Snitch AKA “Nosebleed Willy”
Connection: 1
Location: Ready Eddy’s Bar
Elf – Snitch/Punching Bag
Nosebleed Willy is a man who gets paid to know things. Unfortunately for Nosebleed, he doesn’t have any powerful friends or the skill set to protect himself very well, so he often winds up being used as a punching bag as “upfront payment” for his services.

Willy has often had good information on the local corps, especially the smaller players, but his info has also often turned out to be glorified gossip from time to time.

Alright, I'm in between other obligations for the day so I'll have to check out the full contacts list in more detail later, you can assume that I'll be putting in "Mari" from Marigold Private Security as a contact for whatever I name him in the end.  I'll try to focus more on armorer and mechanics skills than on hardware/software and hacking to leave that as more of a hacker/rigger role.

If we're looking heavy on awakened characters I'll look at going with cyber/bioware, otherwise my ex-security tech is looking like a gun/mech adept, probably with a wide variety of general skills to reflect a diverse recent job history before turning to the shadows.

Edit/Addition: Where and how do you want characters to be submitted/posted?  I've been noodling around my ex-security tech and will probably have a 95% completed version tonight sometime (I figure I'll post it here unless I've heard otherwise, not the massive points-cost filled lists I normally put in character creation, but the character sheet from FastJack).

I also have a question for the other players... do we intend to run these missions hot or stun damage only.  I'll probably design him with both in mind with a lean towards non-lethal, but I hate to show up a table armed for bear and find out the other players are using tear gas and stun rounds, or vice versa.

Just post the characters up on here for now. As for the lethality, its up to you guys whether you want to go non-lethal most of the time or not, but I highly recommend having at least one non-lethal means of take down.

We just can buy some gel-ammo and we are fine.
My character has closed combat skills and has a slab, deadly weapons for all four hands are so expansive.

Especially when you buy up 3 ambidextrous qualities and go one handed for each.  In theory you could get it twice and deal with two long-arms or assault rifles, but that's the sort of number crunching that takes GM approval....

We're fairly combat-heavy yes?

I hope you guys can at least fit in a Hyundai Shin-Yung. I'll be toning down my character's combat skills slightly since you guys seem to have that covered well. My fella's a mundane too.

Yeah, I'll end up fairly combat oriented.  If all goes well in shopping there ought to be another seat in the van/truck that Orson (He has a name now) will be purchasing (with an armorer shop in the back of either).

Background: Abahl is half japanese, half indian, but was born in south India where he lived for the first part of his life. He had the blue skin color from his father and due to the indian cast system, he and his mother where mostly treated like slaves. With 10 years, Oni left India, working here and there on cargo ships and finally came to Denver with 12.

After some struggle in the beginning he survived with some small break-ins but was quickly caught by a local gang, the Bloody Bat (they usually use red baseball bats as weapons). Abahl was beaten very heavily but managed to fight back in the end.

Abahl was allowed to join the Bloody Bats and worked his way up to the second hand of the boss, Emilio Konno. The gang was a group of around 10-12 people mostly orks, trolls and two or three human. The gang's usual business were break-ins, minor smuggle around the city and, if someone paid them or if they got bored, the demolition of 'things'.
Since they all thought that Abahl came from Japan, he was called Oni.

After a heavy gang war, the Bloody Bats were reduced to around 3 members, Oni, Emilio and another guy, a ork named Bosh. Without any more members the gang was disbanded and Emilio and Bosh joined another gang, “Redmond Choppers”. Oni sometimes visit them but started to do his own business in the shadows, specially to mix up some of the old rival gangs which destroied the Bloody Bats in the end.

Appearance: So far, only the members of the Bloody Bats know about his second pair of arms and Oni want to keep it that way. He usually wears a wide Camouflage Rainsuits which covers his other arms very good. He didn't care much about his blue skin and don't try to hide it.
