So I am thinking about creating a series of runs around the Bilderberg Group, a real life annual conference of very powerful people.

Quote
The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, or Bilderberg Club is an annual, unofficial, invitation-only conference of approximately 120 to 140 guests from North America and Western Europe, most of whom are people of influence. About one-third are from government and politics, and two-thirds from finance, industry, labour, education and communications. Meetings are closed to the public and often feature future political leaders shortly before they become household names.
Because of its exclusivity and privacy, the Bilderberg group is accused by conspiracy theorists of being an all powerful secret society fixing the fate of the world behind closed doors for nefarious ends. Critics of Bilderberg conspiracy theories counter that the group is neither a supreme world government nor a mere social club but rather a meeting ground for top executives from the world’s leading multinational corporations and top national political figures to consider jointly the immediate and long-term policies facing the West in order to reach a consensus.[

I was thinking that after years of falling in power, if not nigh-dissolution, the Group's Steering Committee ramps up its 2073 conference into a big deal.  The runners would do a number of runs leading up to the conference, maybe make it to the conference itself and then deals with the fallout.   What would some run suggestions be and who would you put on the list of those getting an invite?

You could always have them figure out who one of the guests is supposed to be and eliminate and replace/extort/infiltrate their organization, something along the lines of Rally Cry from missions.

I would say the CEOs and presidents of the board of the AAA and AA corps and the great dragons from these regions definately.

A run where they team is hired to get a copy of the list of guests.
A run to gain info on one of the guests.
I like Onion Man's idea also.
Maybe a run before the event to figure out security procedures or against the security company to get security plans.
A visit to one of the speakers to influence him on his speach
A run to abduct one of the attendees family member (could be tied to above idea)

These are ones that come to mind off the top of my head

Or to get one of the guests pose for a picture with one of the runners....who happens to look like Elvis. Bonus yen for multiple pics.
Why in the frag did they put ME in charge?

Or who looks like someone very damaging either from the get go or once the picture is taken and modified

It seems unlikely to me that leaders of megacorps with shaky relations between them would see enough benefit in a meeting like this to take the risk of being in such a large group in person. After all, it'd be easy as hell for one of the dragons to mind-influence any or all of the most powerful people in the sixth world in one fell swoop. Speaking of which, dragons who have a tendency to be rather paranoid might be reluctant to show up themselves as well.

Just my 2¥.

StarManta -

I totally agree with your train of thought.  I think more likely you would have representatives from these big powers sent, since very few CEO/political figures are going to go to one of these things.  Even then it would have to be something big - including Asian corps and governments for the first time, the revealing of a major artifact/Resonance knowledge/something mysterious that the Steering Committee just came into possession of.  Something that will change the world and will bring back the Group's power base should the rest of the world know about it.  I think it's a cool idea, at least. I was wondering more on who  people thought would make the list (other than the heads of the big AAA) and where could I find info on them in the various books.
