So no big corp connection, means no big trouble with KE. I'm in. Nowa didn't try to negotiate with the J. since Emilio once told him that Nowa isn't a people person. Nowa couldn't quite remember if it was before or after he broke the arms of this  gang leader with whom Nowa was talking about some turf bargain.

{No mystic security?  Consider this a cakewalk}

"I'm in.  Do you have a com signal we can get in touch with you at when we wrap things up, or just in case things go all pear shaped on us?"

"I'm in." The voice was bland and monotone no real accent.

The dwarf stares at the door for a moment as though something caught his eye then shakes it off. He starts off looking at Nowa.
. I...I worked there up until last week. Magical security doesn't start until next month a week before opening."

"If you worked there not too long ago, maybe you could draw us a map or something of the place. Also, what sort of surveillance and physical security: maglocks, sensors, etc. we gonna run into. How's their garage? Maybe there is a vehicle at the place designed for moving animals? hmm?

Boosts was hoping someone other than her could get doors open, while maybe - maybe - she could spoof the tranq firing drones into taking out the guards.  Also something about the way the J was talking made her nervous - like he wanted to sell the animal, or maybe he was in love with it and wanted some alone time with Tinks.  He did say he was fired.  "Perv," she thought.

She took a much longer look at him (OCC: judging intentions here. Intuition 4 +Charisma 4 (8d6.hits(5)=1 hit). Lame, this is why she sticks to cars.)

[He placed a disposable commlink when he was talking about the price.]

"I can't swing any more money, but I can manage to get you 50 knockout darts designed for a Heavy Pistol and about two dozen doses of Cram if it will help sweeten the deal," he replies to Critter.
"As for the map, there is one on the commlink and a way to reach me once you have Tinks. I know there is a maglock system park wide planned, but it wasn't slated to be online for another week and a half. Until then, everything is strictly old school mechanical secured. The camera's at the compound are set up for Thermo to help notice escaped animals, and the whole thing is protected by an electrified security fence with a gate at each parking lot. I honestly couldn't begin to guess about the garage, I'm a Vet, I worked in the animal clinic." You can tell he wasn't trying to keep secrets so much as just overwhelmed with information and not sure what was wanted.

"This service road, over on the right, where does that meet up with the main and how well patrolled is it?" Pig asked, sending himself the file from the disposable before sliding it back to the middle of the table, "And who does the security?  There's a world of difference between the men and the boys when it comes to security firms and it'll go a lot smoother for everyone if we know exactly what we're getting into before we get in it."

{With any luck, Mari will know something or somebody at the sec crew and this will be a cakewalk}

Not waiting for an immediate answer he continues on, "Regular routes, coffee breaks, shift changes?  Anything about the human element you can fill us in on.  Besides the obvious entry guards, where does sec operate out of?"

Not wanting to fluster Johnson with too many questions again, Pig grabs another pastry, shakes some of the powder off and pops it into his mouth.

{I can almost taste that bacon already}

"I think the security force is Brinson or Brenson or Brinsine...definitely starts with a B and isn't one of the big ones. The road comes out one intersection down, it isn't usually manned at night, but has three sensor chekpoints and more cams than most of the park put together. I really don't know anything more about the guards...I think...usually one patrols between the gates...but it seems to change depending on the night and the crew."

Boosts nods at all the information, trying to seem calm, trying to see professional.  However her feet start working imaginary pedals, her fingers twitch. She wants the yakkity-yak to stop. It isn't nerves, but anticipation, she wants the run, jungle cat or no jungle cat.  Her mind is full of possible ins and outs, switchbacks and ditched cars.

She takes a breath.

"What about the other vets?  Their names, their addresses, more importantly their cars?"she asks.  "Get some Access IDs, a spoof here or there, just drive in. C'mon chica, keep it simple," she thinks to herself.

While waiting she will try and calm herself by looking over the map of the zoo and the surrounding area again.  Trying to chart two or three ways of getting in and out that join up with the service road and would keep them out of sight of most KE interceptors.

(ooc intuition 4 + Back alley/Short cuts knowledge skill 3(7d6.hits(5)=1). I didn't know if I got a Mapsoft rating bonus here or not, so I didn't include it.)

"Thermo-Sensors and mechanical locks will be no problem for me, I have the gear. Neither will their eyes. Do we have a map of the building Tinks is in? I cannot handle a Firearm but I can remove the guards and allow you entry."

"I don't have any of the building schematics. The isolation cages are in a Warehouse like building though in between the four animal care buildings. As for the other vets, they are out of town for a seminar in Vegas. They have assistants, but I couldn't begin to tell you their names. I only paid attention to my assistant and he was let go at the same time."

[The easiest route you find is actually going up the main road. There is road construction between it and the service road, and the traffic cameras should be down there. The area doesn't really have a strong K.E. presence (you suspect this will change when it opens), and the only real local hotspot is a donut shop about twelve blocks away from the service road.]

"I can agree with your terms," Najateh said, while looking to the others.  They would have to agree as well.

"I do have a couple of questions concerning Tinks," she said next "First is the weight of the tiger, as close as you know it."
As vet he had to know that she needed to get the dose of the tranquilizer just right and all those things depended on body weight and also a bit on the type of animal, but she knew how to correct for that.

"Next is the medical history," she continued, "Any allergies and stuff?  I'd rather not put her under slab to find out she's allergic to it and died.  The last question is related: is the tiger awakened?"

All this questions start to get on Nowa's nerves, if this was going on, they will be in this room for the next two hours and also his beer was slowly empty.
"Oh man, we do not want to operate but only stun the Tigers. The small Johnson here give us the knockout darts and me and my Ares will shoot the beast with as much darts as fit into a clip! If it kills the tiger, it's his fault. Nowa waved at the Johnson.

"You don't just shoot the animal," Najateh said to Nowa, "you make sure you get the dose of the tranquilizer correct, or you have either a dead animal or an enraged animal.  And besides, it isn't because you have darts that you also have the stuff you have to put into the darts.  Shooting empty darts isn't going to do much good."

Najateh considered herself a professional hunter, and whether the animal had to be dead or alive, she wanted to do it with one shot.

"Y' know, we just put Najateh in the cage and wait until the tiger falls asleep from boredom.", Rafa said in a tone that somewhere between bored and joking.
He shrugged.
"Go in, take out the guards, get the tiger and get out. How friggin' hard can it be, esse? Tigers breathe, right? Toss some gas in the cage, count to ten, take the kitten."

So this was what shadowrunning was all about? Grabbing some furry pet for a dwarf who looked like he wouldn't last a second in the streets he grew up in?
Man, this would be easy money; just buying groceries in his neighborhood had more potential danger than this job.
Let's get going already, maybe I'll be in back home in time to have some fun with Lita.
