Okay, so the night started as something of a bummer,l 3 players showed up with less than a complete character, and one won't be invited back (he spent most of the night playing his DS3D), but after running just the fist adventure seed (why use the archaic terminology) for Emergence we've got one more long-ish term Shadowrunner, and 2 short term players cemented into a longer-term role.

The group went way off on a tangent, murdered a sickly, elderly troll in his hospital bed and stuffed him in MacArthur's MCT morgue drawer (gaining notoriety) before shooting their way out of the hospital (Seattle General, I'd been drinking already) and piling into a highly damaged DocWagon ambulance and being in a (not RPed) high speed getaway with the help of Puyallup's Muslim Brotherhood cell (I'm humoring an 'Enduring Freedom' vet, lets let the PCness slide on this).

Looking forward to running the 3rd of the Adventure seeds with a friend from Minnesota sitting in on the game as a closeted technomancer.

For real, after I get approved as a Catalyst Demo Team meber, I'm pitching missions at a 240 member D&D meetup group, I bet at least 10 veteran DM's pick the game up as an alternate at the very least, and I bet I can sell 1 or 2 of them on forming a new meetup and running missions and homebrews on a monthly basis.

Wow, that sounds like it was an experience.

Playing in  game I run is always an experience?

Especially if I'm drinking during it.  Did I mention that my prep work was reading the first 2 sections of Emergence once and showing up with a stack of blank notecards?  That's how I roll, illusion of free will and fly by the seat of the pants.

Edit: Fixed some typos.  Backup keyboard is missing some keystrokes.  Might be time to buy a new backup.

Everyone has their own style.  Its how you play the players that matters and keep making the fun.

Sounds amazing.  I picture the troll stuffing scene like something out of Weekend at Bernie's. Like one of the runners has Jonathan Silverman's befuddled  "Oh no" face going on while another one is all Andrew McCarthy and being like, "It's cool, bro - we can still get his millions."
