As Johnny starts walking out the door with the Doctor, it strikes him. "Hurry up and clear the building."  Stone not only spotted the gun, he just called for backup.  At the same time, he's trying to push Johnny out the door...  Trying to avoid an armed conflict?

"Doc, come over here a minute.  I need to get your thumbprint to sign off for your guest."
The Doctor hesitated by the door, then turned and faced Stone.  "No," he said defiantly.  "I'm done here.  Someone has finally taken an interest in my work and now I'm going to go meet them.  I told them all that it was possible, but the never believed me - not a single biotech corp.  I sank everything I had into my research just to get to this point, and now I'm ready to go forward, with whomever will help me continue.  I appreciate your service, but I'm leaving."

At this point, Dr. Leary was actually pushing Johnny out the door.  "I'm ready,"  Leary said.  "Where's the car?"

Marlene was watching the whole situation, and thought to herself that the doc wasn't as innocent as he seemed. As she looked around and noticed the guards becoming somewhat agitated, she made sure to keep on Jack Stone with her pistol. At the same time, she reached into one of the pockets to take hold of a frag grenade she brought with, a useful diversion if it were necessary.

@Johnny things are getting glitched fast. Say the word and I'll cause enough havoc for you to get out of the building with the Doc and hopefully make the guards panic. I didn't sign up to get killed, though, and I ain't staying for a big firefight.

Marlene was noticeably agitated.  If it were necessary, she'd put Jack out of commission, and maybe toss a grenade, but she wasn't gonna fight the whole building security force if she could avoid it.

Ghost looks at his comm and checks the time.  He tries to calculate in his head the last time he knew the time and the duration left on the bomb.

[OOC:  Memorty roll if required:  8d6.hits(5)=4 logic 3 + willpower 5]

@Mary and Johnny:  You guys out of the building yet?  There's only x time left!!

Hey Jink, you got eyes on that bomb yet?

@Ghost Johnny practically flashed his gun at the cybered guy. He didn't seem to notice, but things are startin to get heavy over here. Think its all about to glitch. I can get out just fine, but Johnny has the doctor to deal with, not to mention he might have the attention of boyo Jack over there.

@Mary:  We're on our way.  If things look hot, have Johnny and the doctor find some cover.

@Ghost: Any tricks up your sleeve?

Ghost goes deep into thought concentrating on the spirits he summoned tonight.  I need your help old man.  My friends are in trouble.  I need you to go to Gibson hall and give me a visual there so I can instruct you on your task.  Try not to be noticed."

Ghost concentrate on the location of Gibson Hall from when he went there astrally not just an hour ago.  He contacts the watcher spirit patrolling the second floor.  He instructs it to go to a room on the first floor near where the four human presences are.  When the guardian spirit gets there and he can see what's happening he instructs the watcher to start making screaming noises in the side room   When Jack Stone turns his head I have the guardian use concealment on Johnny and the doctor.  "Old man, conceal my friends until they escape the building.  Then your service to me is complete."

[OOC:  I don't know if I need to astral project to control all this but I think my character would.  I will astral project to Gibson hall if that is needed to accomplish these actions.]

[OOC:  You've been there before, so sending a spirit is a simple thing.  With the astral, it's only hard the first time.]

"Just conceal the ones you've pictured at the place you've shown me?  Are you sure that is all you would like me to do, eh?"  The old spirit raises a fuzzy eyebrow and grins a snaggle-toothed grin. "I suppose it can't be fighting all the time.."  He takes a long drink from his jug of sake and is gone in a flash.

Meanwhile, at Gibson Hall, it was about two and a half minutes before the bomb was set to detonate.  Jack Stone stopped and took a long hard look at the Doctor.  He was weighing his options.
"I got no right, to stop you, if that's what you want...  and if you got someone bending your brain to say this, my contract says 'no fighting mages' in big bold letters..  Mr. Feng, I've got your face and that statement recorded right here in my head.  The doctor gets dead or disappeared, I will dump this big steaming pile of shit right on those uptight assholes at KE."

"I'm not a cop, and I haven't seen anything criminal here today.  It's your life Doctor."
He turns and heads back toward the break room.
"I am just too damn old for this shit."

Jink uses the account Yuri gave him to log into one of the little robots with a camera, a crab like thing with extendable claws that Jink hopes should be able to nudge or pull the bomb in the right direction. Starting her up with an electric whirr, he pans the camera to get the bomb in his sights and sends the feed to anyone in his team who wants it.

<Commlink@team: "OK, two minutes eh? Maybe give it another minute, make sure the floor is clear. Then we thread the boom, neh?" >

When the time comes Umberto switches the wagon to autopilot for a moment and sinks into his seat, hotsimming his control of the little robot. In the next beat he can feel the hardness of his shell, the click clack of his tiny legs against the desk, the electricity resonating through his circuits as his power source courses through his small frame. The steel crab shuffles forward, grips the bomb in it's pincers and turns it ... Eeeaasy does it

Demolitions check (skill 2, -2 improvised, +2 hitsim, +6 logic) (8d6.hits(5)=4)

[OOC: Sorry - here's the pilot test: Pilot Anthroform test (reaction 5, +2 hitsim, -2 and -1 for no skill! argghh!) (4d6.hits(5)=1) - hmm glitch!!

Edge to reroll failures! (3d6.hits(5)=1) ... ok so overall  2 hits.]

[OOC:  You'd be rolling Command 6 +2 hotsim -2 mods -1 defaulting (which is impossible by RAW, but RAW can suck it).  So, that's one more die to toss.  1d6.hits(5) → [2] = (0) and one more to reroll 1d6.hits(5) → [3] = (0)  Oh well.]

The little Crab steadied itself beneath the bomb and moved up until its shell was flush with the bottom.  Reaching up, it started to clip off the tape.  Now freed from the wall the crab tried to steady the bomb and slowly slide it to the side.

[Motion sensor check 5d6.hits(5) → [6,1,3,1,6] = (2)  Oops!  Does Jinx get lucky? edge 2d6.hits(5) → [1,2] = (0)  Derp.  Bye bye, 2nd floor.]

The crab takes a tentative step to the side and the feed cuts out.

As the crab explodes, Jink's body shudders spasmodically and his eyes snap open, coughing up blood with a horrible sounding wheez ... "Frag it!!" . He lets the static run for a few moments before cutting the feed after he regains his senses...

<commlink@team: Drek! Jinky not so hot on the crabwalker, neh? Hope nobody was left on that floor!>

[OOC: er... I believe this means Jink might suffer some kind of bad ass feedback..... :o]Soak 5P ... (4d6.hits(5)=2)

Leaving the wagon on autopilot, Umberto fishes out his medkit and jabs himself full of healing enhancing drugs First Aid check (6 logic, 6 medkit, 3 skill, -2 wound mod, -2 implants, -1 conditions?) (10d6.hits(5)=1) ... damn!!! Looks like those big bruises under Jink's eyes will be hanging around for a few days!! So I believe he's at 3 boxes of physical damage.]

What the frag happened? You don't look so good Jink.  Not that you really looked that good to begin with but who am I to talk.

Ghost reaches over and lays his hand on Jinks shoulder to cast a heal spell.

11d6.hits(5)=4 spellcasting 6 + magic 5

resist 1s drain

11d6.hits(5)=1 intuition 4 + willpower 5+ focused concentration 2

How do you feel now?

[OOC: Wow that's only one hit if you count the -5 modifier for cw which I forgot about.  Well at least you don't have a damage modifier now]

Yuri gets back to the outer edges of the Grid and engages the car on auto, then leans back in the comfy seating of her car. Time to settle in with some juicey data.  Pulling up the encrypted datablock she snagged form Neil's, Yuri sets her Decypt program to work on it.

Jink's message pops across her vision.
<<@Mary and Johnny: Oi, you two alright out there? And who's this "passenger"?  Give me a name and a photo or vid feed if you can and I'll see what I can dig up on the slot.>>

<<@Jink: How's the dumpshock, chummer?  Hope your feeback filter's cranked up or I don't evny you the headache that had to cause.>>

Well, guess I needn't have worried too much about the bomb after all.   The Decrypt program pings at her, flashing a big gold key icon as it breaks the protection lock.  Ahhh, let's have a look at what you've been up to Mr.Niel.

She starts carefully sifting through the data, trying to get a broad catalogue of the data inside as she probes for potential data-bombs or other matrix booby-traps.

Matrix Perception for bombs and traps: Computer 4 + Analyze 6 + Enceaphalon 1 + Observe in Detail 3 = (14d6.hits(5)=8)
Browse to catalogue data: Data Search 4 + Browse 6 + Encephalon 1 = (11d6.hits(5)=2)

Going through the man's browse logs showed a lot of research on microprocessor design and some of the kind of searches that a lonely guy might get up to with hours to himself.

Upon encrypting other files, Yuri found a data bomb hiding in the code.
[ooc: Data bomb 6d6.hits(5) → [2,6,1,5,6,3] = (3)]
