Motoko began cursing in several different languages when the Knights showed up before she could get her hands on the sniper. Then, turning on the people in her van, she waved the rifle wildly. "Who the frak is this? Where's Vanian? I better be getting paid, because I have a drone to fix up because of this mess!"

"Switch, what is it exactly you need from Vanian?" Crimson Asked her fellow runner, while thinking to herself ... why does Motoko does not have such a nice car? ...

Ghost, having worked with Switch and Jinx before feels comfortable enough to know that him riding by himself in the other teams van won't get him left out of his payday.  "Hey, so who am I riding with?" he says to Crimson and Sundance while walking to the van with the scraped side.  The disheveled, slightly pungent mage steps into the van and hear's Motoko's rant.  In a calmest voice he can muster after just in a firefight he says, "Calm down chummer, Vanian's safe and sound.  Just follow that van and you'll get your cash.  You good with comms?  I got some off the dead goons up there.  I wanna make sure any friends of theirs can't track them."

"She goes by the name Motoko, Nice Gal under a lot of violent armour. Just do not piss her off, she had a terrible day up until now, so she might be easly convinced to shoot someone and i would not like the some one to be you. Bad for our deal and most likely for you too." While sitting in the car Crimson command her Bike to follow in a distance of a few hundred meters, time to time she let's the bike pass the rover to see noone is following it, or the Rover. Nice having sensors in drone/Bike

Motoko takes the commlinks, and directs her van to follow the other one, while she begins to dive the captured commlinks. Might not be quite as good as getting hold of the sniper's link, but it'll do for a start. "Any paydata or bank accounts on here goes to me, to repair the drone that got shot up by that sniper."

<OOC> You want me to make the rolls to hack each the comms? She's going to go until she gets admin access on each one, and then drain any bank accounts they have, stealing any information they might contain, and then turning them off.

Yuri, Team A's hacker, bricked all of the enemy comms during the firefight to keep them from calling for help or broadcasting information about her or the team (as it was.)  The links won't even turn on without a hardware check, and then they'll need a new OS.  They were burners anyway, meant to be used once and tossed.  Safehouse options are abandoned squats for free, or gang turf for cash/trade.  Psi, you're leading the parade, you decide.

The caravan of vehicles made it to the 520 easily enough, and from there piped straight into the heart of north Redmond.  KE could be a problem all the way through Touristville, so everyone held their breath until they reached the mostly abandoned part of Novelty Hill road.  There were plenty of abandoned warehouses and office parks in this part of Redmond which could make an easy squat for a minute.  Convincing any locals to clear out would be a non-event.  Otherwise, there were gang nests near enough by that Jink could direct them all into a back lot where they'd have lookouts and such keeping an eye on things, for a price.

Jink steers the mini convoy to an abandoned squat, avoiding the local heavies and their more mobile counterparts on two wheels. Pulling up outside a derelict plascrete apartment, he pops the doors with a mental command and turns around in his seat.

"Castle de drekhouse," he states grandly, waving towards the safehouse. "Better than a KE cell, si?"

Once everyone files out he commands the wagon to keep an eye out for anyone sneaking up on their position, instructing it to send him a camera feed of anyone who enters the parking lot (other than the two teams or Vanian). He tells the wagon to make outgoing wireless communications only, switching off receiving functionality. Unplugging his fibreoptic, he jumps out, locks up, and heads inside to join the party.

[OOC: not sure you can give a "send only" command? I assume you can? If not no worries.]

Swtich glances around as he jumps out of the wagon.

@Jink: "Quite a place, just our style."

@Crimson: "We need a few questions answered.  By the way, you may not be aware, but there are some serious players after Rat.  In fact, there's more going on here than you realize."

Motoko shook her head as she got out of the van. The sniper rifle was always pointed at a member of the other team. Not held ready, but still an appreciable threat. "We don't. We're being paid to pick up Vanian, and get him out of the building. And you don't ask any questions until after we get paid. I don't much care who is after him, I'm already going to be spending most of the money I get from this gig to repair my drone. So I get paid, and unless someone can give me a damn good reason to do otherwise, I'm splitting, before I have any more repair bills to deal with."

"I assume someone is serious about things if they start shooting up Bellview. Anyone got a better way to wake Vanian up than slapping him? Also, I suggest we let Crimson talk to him first when he wakes up...he might be a bit nervous."

*subvocal to Crimson* *Try to sell Vanian on talking to these people, or at least hearing what they want to know. If he refuses, things might get ugly.*

Swaggering alongside Motoko, whom Jink gives an appraising and appreciative eye, the old rigger quips "Yoouu knoow, I have good friend who can help with patching your battle drone. Give you shiny deal too. And he close by. Maybe I give him a call, what you think?"

He gives Motoko a big grin and a friendly wink.

"Jink is an excellent field medic.  He has healed me many times."

A nod in Sun's direction then she turns back to Switch

@Crimson: "We need a few questions answered.  By the way, you may not be aware, but there are some serious players after Rat.  In fact, there's more going on here than you realize."

"You do not have to point that out, it was quite visible in Bellview, and i know we are in your debt, and i promise i will help you get any information you need, just do not expect wonders, he is quit the negotiator in these things."

Crimson goes Over to Motoko cromson is saying in a low voice, but loud enough to be heard by everyone with some kind of hearing enchentments " Please behave, they are the only reason you still have a chance to get paid at all. Hope i do not have to point out that we are on good terms right now."
Turning back to the group hoping Motoko will see reason Crimson says in her usual voice "So Jinkx, you not only drive but Heal as well? I am impressed. Would you mind doing your magic on Vanian, before Motoko here thinks he might go back on his word and take care of him with her gun here?"
A short look back to Motoko shows her Crimson just made a joke to lighten the situation.

Looking over to Jink, Motoko's expression is quite cool. One might even call it icy. As she turns to respond, that rifle in her hands, while still not held to her shoulder, just happens to 'accidentally' be pointed with the muzzle a couple inches from a very sensitive part of Jink's anatomy. "Bakabakashii gaijin. The kumi has many excellent mechanics. All I care about is getting paid, and hoping that it will be enough to cover the damages."

Looking over to Crimson, Motoko shook her head. "I don't see why we are dealing with them at all. We should have just taken Vanian from them, and been done with it. This is not part of our contract."
