Motoko parked her van a safe distance away, and allowed everyone to get out before locking the doors and slipping into the blessed embrace of VR. Flowing through the electron environment that was her true home, she first summoned a sprite to aid her. She would allow the sprite to take care of any enemy spiders in the system (or anyone who looked at her the wrong way, given how she was feeling at the moment).

The sprite appeared in the form of a man with obvious cybereyes and an impressive physique. Almost as impressive as the gun he carried. In the anime, it was referred to as 'Oh, your standard issue big gun.' In the matrix, it was a sign of something far more impressive, in Motoko's mind.

Batou, let's go. We've got a node to raid.

Grabbing his ingram, he slaps a gel clip in and tucks it away in his concealable holster, covering it with his lined coat, the gun's high tensile plastics marking it as non-standard issue. With a bit of luck, we'll get her through. 

He parks the swagger wagon about 30m from the club, preferably with the back facing some of the building's windows.

While the others are preparing themselves, Crimson approaches the entrance-way.  As she enters the small stone archway and reaches for the door, an AR message comes up in the middle of her field of view.  <<FIREARMS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE CLUB>>

Meanwhile Ghost, as approaching the place in the astral, notices a number of spirits hovering around the exterior.  They are immediately identifiable as Watchers and not some sort of restless undead.  They flit in and out of the astral ward which surrounds the whole structure in a bubble.  There are no less than 6 of them.  Ghost will not be able to enter by the astral without breaching the ward.

Makoto, buzzing through the matrix, finds the building's public node easily.  A quick scan shows a security-level firewall and system.  Bog standard for downtown clubs.

Ghost switches his perception back to his home plane, takes out his knife and clubs and leaves them in the "swagger wagon".  He then leaves the vehicle and makes his way towards the entrance to the club, spacing himself from anyone he knows who is trying to smuggle firearms in.

Motoko begins diving the node. She doesn't have time to probe the system gently, so she's going to break in the quick and dirty way, and own the system. The system wasn't that complex, but she wasn't going for mere access. She wanted to own the system completely, so she could work it as she wished. Let the others worry about getting into the club. She much preferred the virtual to the physical.

Going for Admin access. 11 hits after the first turn of hacking.

Mirikon, I'll let you roll a threading test to see if you can get your stealth up after the third throw.  You'll need a stealth of 8 to not get noticed.  Alternately, you could thread on the Mute option for your Exploit program to delay the alert for a full CT.


Makoto couldn't help but feel the pressure as each second ticked by.  When working in zettaflops, three seconds of operation is an eternity.

Then she started to walk toward the Bar, the AR Poping up scared her a bit, but then she just started to repeat to hersefl ... Taser is no Firearm, it's a self defense tool ... over and over again until she felt it n her mind.

Jink breezes in with Crimson, Switch (and Sundance?) thankful for Sundance's makeup work, and hoping it will help the old biker blend his way through the entrance just a little easier....

He gives Ghost a seeyainside nod, then makes sure Crimson knows he's got his ingram tucked away before the group heads in, giving his companions a big shrug as the "no firearms" ARO flashes before them...

... "What? Gel clip. Hardly counts," he suggests, hoping the doormen have their eyes focused on the pretty ladies more than his concealed weapon...

Crimson opens the door to find a large human man in a nice suit holding an assault rifle pointed at her face.
"Do not move.  Do not speak.  On the count of three you will begin backing through the doorway.  Once you have passed through the doorway, you will leave.  You will not come back this evening.  If you ever do come back, you will do so without your weapon.  1.. 2.. 3.."


In case it wasn't clear, the no firearms message was not a generic "welcome to the club" greeting, it was a message from security sent specifically because they detected a gun on crimson.

Sundance, seeing that the "No Firearms" policy was serious, decided to leave most of his weapons in the "Swagger Wagon," keeping only his sword-cane. He entered separately from the others and tried to blend in near enough to be on-hand in case violence started, while keeping an eye out for anyone else who might be doing the same for Clean Steve.

[spoiler=OOC]Sundance isn't carrying any firearms. He's using Holo-wear to be dressed appropriately. He is openly carrying the cane as part of his gothic get-up, but not making it obvious that there's a sword in it.[/spoiler]

Only two steps behind Crimson, Jink sees what happens and immediately turns around, declaring something about "Hah! Forgot my meds!" and trots back to the wagon. He quietly dumps his SMG inside and trots back, hopefully just in time to go in with Switch (or possibly Crimson, if the disguise thing is a goer).

PS - he has the cybereye with him, unless others think Motoko should keep it safe? Also his link is on passive.
