Switchback stops up short as the Troll Killers form up.

Guess not everyone likes to party...

He glances at the rest of the team and shrugs.

Crimson, still keeping a bit distance from the team, keeping up her separate player style was late for the Party, but she did not miss it at all. She might dress like a Punk, but this was just below her Style. Drunk or High on drugs dancing incomprehensibly. She likes more the atmosphere of the Tea ceremony, but she does not think the others would understand that :)

Up until now Crimson dd not have any chance to shine, and here would it be hard as well, they did not like meta humans as it seems. So her job here would be much harder if she could be part of the negotiations at all.

She carefully started to walk toward ghost, keeping her fingers crossed that she would be seen uman enough to get trough to the Iron Legion. ... Come on, let this work out ...

Right now, the TKs are hostile towards Switchback and prejudiced towards Crimson.  If you would like to improve that, you can roll etiquette to improve their disposition.  Swtich would be at -3 for hostile, and Crimson would have -2 for prejudice and +2 for them generally being attracted to her.  Opposed for the TKs 8d6.hits(5) → [5,4,6,1,5,3,2,6] = (4).  Each net hit will improve your standing with them by 1.  Glitch will make things worse.  All you need to be able to pass them is to improve their disposition to suspicion. Meanwhile with Ghost should roll etiquette as well.  The Legion don't like what he's saying or how he's saying it.  Opposed etiquette for the Legion 8d6.hits(5) → [4,1,3,5,4,5,1,2] = (2)

Jink is still dancing in the far background, keeping on eye on goings on but somewhat distracted by any nearby female dancers who seem even remotely interested in not vacating the floor where ever he happens to be that instant...

He does notice (in vague terms) the rising tension with Crimson/Switchback. Maybe little bit trouble, but Switch can punch through walls. And there are plenty chicas here, eh!

Back to the gyrating, Jink falls into the jerky moves of the famous Azzie Slambucket; a dance frequented by kids some 20 years ago. Retro chic, he reassures himself as he "brings it"

"Dance fight!" he declares, engaging any chica willing enough to "duel" him.

Jink@team<Maybe try little bit dance, they like you better, eh?>
he suggests unhelpfully.

As Crimson walks toward the Legion table, she can clearly see the disinterested and withdrawn members perk up a bit.  All of their eyes follow her trajectory as it goes straight toward them and she picks up where Ghost left off.  The larger Legionaire who'd been talking stands up and moves close to Crimson, pushing Ghost out of the way with a swipe of his forearm. "If I need something, I take it."  He half growls as he looks Crimson up and down.  "And I do think maybe you've got what I need..."

Just then, the sirens start and the bullhorns begin barking orders to "Get down on the floor with your hands above your head!" and other such things that are never going to happen.  The sound of gunfire starts up around the perimeter and the whole place begins its scramble to evacuate, sound system first.

Crimson can try to Negotiate now, or wait a bit and try to negotiate as the cops start to put more pressure on them.

Sundance stood around the party sullenly, making no effort (unlike Jink) to enjoy the festivities and focusing on keeping his eyes and ears open for trouble. The police sounded like trouble.

<Sundance@Team: We had best blow this party before the cops get it too well surrounded. Crimson, think you can get them to leave with us?>

How are the Troll Killers reacting? Is it reasonable for Sundance to try Infiltration during the confusion to get to where Crimson and Ghost are before we start trying to leave?

Etiquette test: -3 for prejudiced (2d6.hits(5)=1)  That's a glitch as well.

Switchback glances over at Jink attempting to "duel" a Troll that is easily twice his size.  @Jink: She's too much woman for you.  We'd best get ready to run.

He watches as Ghost is swept aside, and glances over his shoulder when the sirens start blaring.  "Just when the party was getting fun.."

Ghost doesn't resist the push and moves to the side.  He the hears the sounds of the approaching 50. "Perfect timing"  Switching to astral perception he assenses the Iron legion goons and looks around to see if the police have any noticeable magical backup.  As the everyone starts to scatter Ghost uses the distraction to cast improved invis on himself and starts to tail the Iron legion members.  If he sees cops he will switch perceptions briefly to recheck for any magic support. "Hopefully the cops think this party is too low brow for any awakened to be here."

Assensing Roll (7d6.hits(5)=2) Assensing roll

improved invis (11d6.hits(5)=1) invis roll

drain (11d6.hits(5)=3) drain

The commotion seemed to be coming from the eastern entrance as the police pushed into the relatively unguarded doorway and began spraying bullets out into the makeshift dancefloor.  The panic intensified and Ghost could feel it pulse and flail across the gathered mass as music and hormones met drugs and gunplay.  Exposing himself to the raw energy of it all paled the runner like his namesake, but he stayed stalwart even as his spell came off half-cocked.  He couldn't spot any magic, and the place was such a storm, astrally, that it really didn't surprise him.

Sundance meanwhile was busy watching the TKs operate.  Their line was sideways to the security's point of entry, and they handled the situation in a military fashion.  Three on the end took up firing positions and completely halted the police's advance with a burst of assault rifle fire.  Meanwhile the rest took up rearward positions or moved to evacuate to the west.  It was enough to give the Gnome pause.  They didn't act like a street gang at all.  A little heat came down and their true colors shone through for any one to see.  That bunch was a paramilitary organization in street clothes.  Probably at the party for recruitment and to wag their dicks at the metas.  It was concerning to think about.

The Legion, while in no way organized, had the same idea and lit out to the west.  One of their number tried to run south of the food stand and got stitched across the back with a spray of rubber bullets from the police.  He went down hard, whacking his head on the counter of the nearby Meat King.

Sundance sized up the situation and decided that if the Troll Killers wanted to take on the cops, he was happy to let them draw the fire. The Legion, on the other hand, they couldn't afford to let get away. He switched off his holowear, hoping his small stature, the chaos, and his chameleon coating would be enough to let him tail after the Legion without getting noticed.

<Sundance@Team: the TKs are holding off the garbage so their chummers can escape. We should get out a different way and let them draw the fire. I'm trying to follow the Legion, either get out or help me if you can.>
Shadowing (4[5]; reflex recorder)+Intuition 5 to follow the Legion. Let me know what other rolls if any are needed. Sundance has Chameleon Coating active (-4 Perception). One hit, rerolling with Edge, five hits total
Crimson, even thou she looks small and frail, does not back down when the Leader of the Legion makes his statement, but instead gives him her own.
"We could get you all out alive, but if you want the Cops to finish the job the Crazy fuck started, be my guest."
Crimson Looks him in the eyes without flinching back from his scared face and his macho stance.
"So you think you can take on this situation on your own, or do you need some extra guns and skill to to get out in one piece for a small piece of information?
Can you really afford to turn us down, as loosing even more people would defiantly ruin the legion."

Without waiting  for a response Crimson called Ghost, over com loud enough so the leader of Iron Legion hears it too.
>Ghost, get your spirits and Mojo going, prepare for a fast exit.<
Nothing convinces low-level gangs like magic, as in the popular culture magic is often overpowered.

"So you take our offer?"
While seemingly taking a look what the sensors of her bike outside can make of the positioning of the Cops.

Switchback watched the Legion scatter, wincing slightly when one of them dropped before he went off after them.  At least the Troll Killers are being useful, maybe the cops will be useful and take a few out...

@Sundance: On your tail.

Overdrive's perception test 2d6.hits(5) → [4,3] = (0)  Not noticing a thing, but both of you'll have to hang back a bit to make it through the humanist's door without a good infiltrate roll.  OD's negotiation 8d6.hits(5) → [4,1,6,6,4,5,1,2] = (3) Leaves Crimson 1 net after penalties. He's convinced, but not eager.

The police hang back, peppering the area indiscriminately with jelly and letting their presence sweep everyone out of the other mall exits.  But, just in case their presence isn't enough, they pop a couple cans of gas and toss them out on the floor.

Crimson follows along as the Legion's upright members make for the west exit.  Their Lieutenant pauses at the side of the Great Big Tater and starts firing full auto toward the east entrance while Crimson tries to negotiate.  The man laughs a sick laugh and grabs Crimson's arm forcefully, dragging her as he retreats east.  "Sure thing, honey.  After you're finished protecting us, I'll fill you in."

"Good, then we have a deal. :D" Crimson smiled for a milisec right there, then she got al serious all of a sudden.
>We protect them, they Talk, the deal is made, so let's protect them!
Motoko Get the Van ready we might need some fast get away.<
