Ghost is already out helping Crimson as Sundance and Switchback make it through the door carrying the downed Legionnaire.  While they're trying to figure out where Motoko might have gone, some TKs still watching the door from the parking lot begin spraying bullets their way.  Seems they must have been offended by a Trog and a Halfer using their door.  Didn't have much time to be offended though before a rotodrone swept past laying into them with explosive machine gun fire.  Definitely not police-issue.  The mystery resolved itself pretty quickly as the Swagger Wagon pulled up on the curb and the doors popped open.

<<"Jink was just going to save some pretty chicas and then perhaps disappear with his son before psycho killer or the b-string hit squad comes knocking, but, hey!  Jink doesn't leave anyone high or dry!  So hop in and we take this party on the road!">>

Sundance helps Switchback toss the downed Legionnaire in the back of the wagon and then hops in.

Ghost makes haste to the Jink's van.  "Impeccable timing JInk"  As the the door closes and the tires start to roll Ghost leaves his body into the astral plane.  He speeds through the fleeing cars in search of the Iron Legion thugs.

Switchback hops in the Wagon and nods.  "Always time for the chicas, Jink."

From the astral, Ghost has little trouble finding the van with the Legion in it.  From the physical, the giant skull with a centurain's helmet sprayed on the front, back and sides sort of gives it away.  Jink begins to follow them by way of following Sundance's advice, and soon they are out of the area the police are mopping up with the Legion none the wiser.

Ghost summons a watcher spirit and instructs it to follow the van.

9d6.hits(5)=3  Ghost limits it to 2 hours for drain roll.

drain roll
11d6.hits(5)=3

He then returns to his body.

"I got the van under surveillance.  How's sleeping beauty doing?  Would it help if I used some healing mojo on him or does he just need a stim patch? Ghost says after leaving the astral.  He then looks over the punk to see how much damage was done by the cops.

It doesn't take medical training to figure out that the punk isn't bleeding.  His leathers aren't even pierced in the back.  Near as Ghost could guess, some smelling salts from a medkit would be enough to wake the guy up.  The wisdom of waking an unrestrained adversary in the back seat of a car during a chase, though, that is questionable.

"Hey Jink, I got a spirit following those punks. Ghost then turns to the rest of the team. "Maybe we could fall back and question this guy.  If he's got the info we need we just have to deal with one of them."

"I think if any of these idiots know anything, it's probably their leader. If you have a spirit tailing them, let's just follow until they stop and then hit them while they're getting out instead of letting them get to a safehouse or split up."

Switch nods and taps his forehead "I doubt sleeping beauty had much up here to start, probably best we just hit them and have a chat with the leader."

"Oh, you gotta ask him meaning of life, eh?  Guess we better follow the boss then.  Jink can't stay though.  Good thing they have a van, yeah?"

After 20 more minutes of driving, you've made it back to Redmond.  Passing through Touristville and heading northeast you eventually find yourselves in a set of squats partway between the Rat's Nest up north, the Crash Zone to the east, and the meta-ghettos down south in Crimson Crush territory.  The van comes to a stop outside a makeshift gate and the guy in the front passenger seat hops out to move it.

Engagement range at this point would be 60 meters.

"Alright, let's get this show of the road, da?"

Sundance aimed his grenade launcher into the gangers' van, trying to land a chemical grenade or two in the recently-vacated passenger seat.

Sundance is taking two simple actions to fire two Narcoject/DMSO chem grenades into the front seat of the van (the idea being to splash the people that are inside and out of LOS). 60m is -1 on a grenade launcher.
Hit:
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3688149/
2 and 6
Scatter:
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3688158/
7 and 6, since the vehicle is stationary that's 3 and 0. The first grenade scatters 3m, second is a direct hit (and refreshes edge, right?)

Scatter direction is http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3688164/ (direction 4, backwards) so it will fall 3m short. It's a 10m burst so it will presumably hit the guy who is outside and miss everyone else, unless he manages to get a lot of hits on a dodge.

You easily win surprise, so there's no dodge roll.  No opposed means 6 net on 12 dice, which is a critical success by any measure.  Take an edge and describe the scene. OR DON'T, LOL.  The punk outside is down before he'll get to act as are 2 in the van.  One punk and the lt are still barely conscious, but won't be able to react this pass (before the drugs kick in.)  People can declare actions.  This combat is basically over before its started.

Almost as soon as the door opened to let the punk out, sundance fired a couple of micro splash grenades at the opening and sunk one inside.  The other, fired first, bounced off the side of the door and burst a few meters away, drenching the legion ganger with one and then another dose of the powerful toxin.  The reaction was delayed, but the punk at the door slouched out and fell to the ground.

Switchback grips his Uzi tightly and brings it up towards the van after Sundance fires the grenade, ready to return any fire.

Switchback will ready the Uzi and wait

Instead of returning fire, the van lurches forward with a surprising amount of torque and crashes through the barricade and into the building lot.  The K.O.ed ganger hanging from the passenger door is dragged by the leg and then caught in the razorwire of the legion's destroyed gate.  Jink lurches the Rover forward to re-establish visual contact, and reaches the demolished gate in time to see the van slide to a stop with its side door facing toward the building's doors.  The driver disappears from sight and feet can be barely seen tromping into the worn down building.
